How did Du!Drow react to Araj? What was Astarions confession like afterwards?
I missed Araj entirely in DU drow's playthrough and so, I got the "non-Araj" confession, which I'm very happy with as It feels more fitting to the way their relationship developed.
That said, I also wrote my own version of the scene! Which I guess you can consider the true "canon" for the two of them.

Yes, and I guess Astarion experienced the most shocking and desperate three-seconds of his un-life followed by a numb resignation. DU drow was especial while alive, but I think dead he would have quickly gotten buried in the bespoken pile of corpses that used to be Astarion's conquests. He's had two-hundred years to practice for this moment after all!
As for the drow's thoughts - he doesn't really see the point in contemplating the few minutes he spent in the void other than to reminisce on it with strange fondness. It all ended well, didn't it? And he knew it would, of course. It's not like he made a completely imprudent choice because he forgets about his own mortality.
