How many weeks does it generally take to film a season of your show? Do you film the whole season before it premieres or does shooting occur while the show is already being broadcast?
Our shoots are eight days per episode, so it generally takes a week and a half (given weekends) to film each one. When season 2 premiered in Fall, we were filming as we were airing, but now that we know we’re premiering season 3 in midseason all episodes will be filmed before we air any of them. That was true of season 1, as well. Our series premiere was in March, so all episodes were shot long before the audience ever saw a thing.
Basically, we film from July to December/January and that filming schedule stays the same regardless of when they air the show.
I’m quite hopeful Alycia will be able to return to s3 of The 100. Let’s assume most tv shows follow a similar schedule as the one mentioned above, just for speculation’s sake, and we can take a look at FTWD.
Now, FTWD’s “first season, consisting of six episodes, will premiere in late summer 2015, and the second season will air in 2016.[3]” (x) It’s not exactly clear but I’m assuming s2 will have 6 episodes as well.
“Production of the pilot episode began in early 2015 and ended on February 6, 2015.[17][18] Production began on the remaining five first-season episodes on May 11, 2015, in Vancouver.[5]” (x)
Scenario 1 - 5 episodes, 45 mins each
Let’s keep in mind I’m assuming a lot of things, namely:
FTWD are going to be shooting s1 and not s2 yet
FTWD takes the same amount of time shooting their episodes as The 100
FTWD s2 has 6 episodes, 45 mins each
The easy way
So if 13-16 episodes takes about 6 to 7 months to film (for The 100), 6 episodes roughly equates to 3 to 3.5 months to shoot. But since there are only 5 episodes left for the FTWD crew to film, let’s say it’ll take around 3 months. So filming will end around August. So hopefully Alycia can come back for s3 of The 100 (considering she’s not going to be in every single episode, let’s hope she has time and there won’t be any scheduling conflicts). Unless FTWD are shooting both seasons in which case the time will be doubled.
The complicated way
Shoots are eight days per episode, so it generally takes a week and a half (given weekends) to film each one. Now let me just get a calendar.
FTWD are shooting 5 episodes starting on May 11, 2015. So 8 days per episode (assuming weekends are holidays), then shooting wraps up on July 3rd. Excellent.
Let’s complicate things. Instead of 45 mins per episode, let’s take it to 60 mins (because my friend says 6 episodes per season means longer episodes).
Scenario 2 - 5 episodes, 60 mins each
8 days for 45 mins, so that’s 1 day per 5.625 mins in an episode. That’s 10.7 days for 60 mins, so let’s round that up to 11 days and we have shooting finishing on July 24th. Still awesome.
Let’s assume something different:
FTWD are going to be shooting both s1 and s2
FTWD takes the same amount of time shooting their episodes as The 100
FTWD s2 has 6 episodes
Scenario 3 - 5 episodes + s2 6 episodes, 45 mins each
The easy way
The 100 takes about 6 months to shoot 13 episodes, so let’s just say FTWD takes 6 months to shoot 11 episodes. So shooting finishes around mid-November. Yikes, that won’t leave much time for Alycia to come back to The 100 :(
But fear not, let’s look at the complicated way.
The complicated way
11 episodes, 8 days per episode. Shooting finishes on the 9th September.
Scenario 4 - 5 episodes + s2 6 episodes, 60 mins each
11 episodes, 11 days per episode. Shooting finishes on the 26th October.
Let’s hope they’re only shooting s1, although even if FTWD shoot both seasons, Alycia could still return for s3 of The 100 considering The 100 doesn’t finishing shooting until December/January. That would just mean we’ll get to see Alycia in the latter half of the season :) But of course, this is all speculation so we’ll just have to wait till The 100 airs. Or until Jason spills the beans. Lol. Jason, please, why are you breaking our hearts?

Based on this fic written by danielmonteray (although originally for Mystwalker)
Based on my fav Jerza fic written by a good friend of mine, Luka-nee.
I'm just taking the news quite badly.
I'm tired, drained and I've been distracted the whole day. It was devastating news to wake up to and I'm angry and sad about the whole thing. It's just so unfair.

To Arkos or Not to Arkos?
Considering Arkos is one of the main ships in RWBY, I thought that it’d be fun to analyse it from a purely objective perspective.
Personally, I don’t think there’s much to say about whether Pyrrha likes Jaune romantically (whether it’s a crush or she really loves him or whatever) since I feel that there are many hints in the show supporting that notion.
What really interests me is whether Jaune likes Pyrrha.
And before anyone jumps to a conclusion, I’m going to emphasise that this is a purely objective approach. I’m not taking into account headcanons or anything of that sort and I’m not trying to take sides or to persuade or dissuade anyone. Neither am I trying to critique the writing of the show in any way.
With that in mind, here we go.
