That makes total sense and I think that’s probably true hahah I’m still not sure what Tristan’s status is re: Rowena ngl hahah

TELLING PPL THEY ARE GOOD ISN’T GOOD FOR HER BUSINESS IM YELLING!!!!!!!  Honestly…what w ppl converging to try and kiLL them Tristan might asp be tempted to take her up on that ngl hahahaha  So that might become a thing later on.  Rn I think he’s hoping that Arthur’ll take her away from all of this bc Tristan feels that she deserves something way more amazing than he himself can give her so…yeah…

So first off re: Tristan/Rowena -- I think we may have talked about this somewhere else? (I??? can’t??? remember????) but I think that his ~cover~ is probably bodyguard/head of her Queen’s guard or something like that but really it is just for show and she’ll randomly tell him to go kill someone for her lol 

In truth, Avelina was a difficult pupil.  Both stubborn and entitled, she was difficult to work with in just about every respect.  In terms of sorcery, however, she was most dedicated to her studies, pouring her stubborn nature into an unwillingness to fail.  Still, Avelina had never been an easy person to know.

Sweeping into the location where she was to meet Safira for her latest lesson, Avelina cast appraising eyes about the place.  Though she did not immediately spot Safira, Avelina felt confident she could hear.  At times, Safira seemed to appear in spots she’d not been just moments before, but she always seemed to hear.

“Where do we begin, today?” she asked, arching a brow at her surroundings.  Avelina was not one to approve of decorations that were lacking in gold and in lions.  “There is much and more to do.”  Though Avelina knew it was best to keep the ring of knowledge quite smile, Avelina felt like crowing her victory and wrestled with the impulse to boast to her teacher of the death of Valles and the triumph of Lynessa.

Either way, there were things she could say.  “My Lynessa now is mistress of a castle in her own rights.  How is it my material influence increases more rapidly these…arcane powers?”  Though, in light of her successes, she didn’t feel so cross about this as she had just prior to the wedding, she was sure to put irritation into her voice.  Avelina, after all, was a princess royal and entitled to the best of everything.

Safira would be happy to help prove her wrong on this front, and others. 

Her progress had been slow (but steady). She had not natural talents in this area and, in the end, Safira wasn’t sure she’d amount to anything great in the end. She felt things too deeply and was driven by her emotions. She was tumultuous, chaotic, and self-destructive. One day, she would cause her own end, Safira predicted, but not before she took down others as she went. 

She would not cause Rowena’s downfall. She did not have the patience or the skill, but she may play a role in it, just the same. 

Safira emerged from the shadows, a smile on her lips. “And how did that come to pass, I wonder?” She asked, “How awful that your son-in-law should die so soon after his marriage. I had the pleasure of meeting him a few days before his death. Such a charming man. You must miss him terribly.” 

She knew well enough that Avelina had had some hand in it. Men died all the time in Aragoth if someone was after their inheritance. Jon, himself, had been happy for her own help in eliminating Lord Fontaine before his marriage. She took pleasure in the fact that he had but a little time on this earth to enjoy it before he was killed so that Lynessa might have what was his.

ahem, anyway, so i was just telling kate that i think rowena might hate safira because she believes that she’s ~beyond her level. like rowena is queen and thinks that she’s the better sorceress. and if she knows that safira just wants to please dezod, well, she’d be all over that because she considers that a major weakness. (like i feel like rowena feels that dezod has served his purpose in her life and basically can’t understand why safira still has such a strong attachment to him???)

and i also told kate that i think rowena might eventually try to dethrone dezod as most powerful sorcerer? because i feel like rowena wants AAAAAAAAAAALL the power and basically won’t stop until there’s no one more powerful and yeah.

sooo if rowena knew avelina went to safira to learn magic she would TOTALLY want to be a fly on that wall because wow. i’m sure avelina is a wonderful student and safira an even better teacher. ha. haha. (wow rowena. that wasn’t nice.) though headcanon that avelina does accidentally turn rowena into a llama. or a cat. that’s a story i’d read/write, hahaha.

anyway, YES PLEASE THEIR CONVOS ARE A THING THAT I NEEEEED. though i feel like rowena might feel like she’s already won so anytime safira shows up she’ll be like “*points to crown* your arguement is invalid” though i totes could see her disguising herself as an old hag or something and, like, going to spy on safira and then if safira basically slams the door her face, transforming back and throwing an apple up in the air while leaning up against the wall and going “so i see you’re still living in this shack. if you’ll excuse me, i’ll be going back to my paLACE WITH MY SERVANTS.” *flips entire cloak in her wake* because money is power the way a loaded gun is power— okay wow now i slipped into chuck quotes. APPARENTLY I CAN’T WRITE MY OWN STUFF TODAY. I HAVE TO BORROW FROM EVERYONE ELSE.

Hahahah, yesss!!! That sounds perfect (I love that they both look down at each other haha). And I think it might be something Rowena knows??? Or at least she knew that was the case when she was younger/when they spent a lot of time together. I mean, if she brings it up now, I think Safira will probs laugh/deny it but no doubt Rowena knows her well enough to know that she’s lying, haha. 

OMG THO SAFIRA WOULD DIE IF SHE DID THAT. (especially if she ever found out that that’s what Dezod really wants from them. B/c Safira legit does NOT know and yeah that’s one of her problems is that she actually CARES. But anyway, she’s a fail. And idk I think she might be dead by the time Rowena does that but if she’d be rolling over in her grave, no doubt ;DDD)

Anyway, do you think we’re actually ready to start? Who should start? I guess it depends if you want Rowena to come to Safira of the other way around. I’m totally cool either way.
