I’m watching Season 6 and I just noticed the heartbreaking parallel between the scene of Sarah Lynn’s death (“You don’t know WHERE she got the heroin from”) and the first time she ever drank (“You don’t know WHERE she got the alcohol from”) in both scenes, Bojack is involved. And everyone knows it’s his fault. But they aren’t going to punish him because he’s a celebrity and they just don’t care enough about Sarah Lynn. He’s (indirectly) been hurting her from the very beginning and has effectively become the same person to her that his parents were to him because he refused to work on his own issues. I think this is also where his obsession with needing other people to hold him accountable comes from. He’s used to getting away with everything and doesn’t know how to hold himself accountable for hurting other people
