If Gabriel is alive, then maybe it broke because Sam thought Gabriel died? Yes, I am just BS-ing it now because I want Sabriel feels.

AU TIME~~~!! Sam is a very weak child. His immune system is very weak. He's very pale and skinny and smaller than most children his age. Gabriel is his guardian angel who always looks after him, gives him piggy back rides when he's feeling weak and tired, he defends Sam from bullies and always makes sure to heal Sam after every single hunt in fear of Sam dying. Gabriel is overprotective of his 'baby moose,' and never lets him out of his sight. Even when Sam is hella older. Truthfully, I didn't know how to write this, I was just like, yes, Sick! Weak! Sam and Sabriel AU with Gabriel giving his frail boyfriend piggy back rides all the time.

We all know Sam and Dean have been through so much in the seasons so far and they've been beaten but they always spring back. Now, I'm working on a Sam fanart (surprise surprise, right?), but I need to know something first. "Shall we leave, kiddo?" I have such a guilty pleasure for the stereotypical lovers that have asshole family members that don't let them be together so they run away together in order to marry. I blame Check Yes Juliet. I want Sam and Gabriel to elope so badly. *^* And this took longer than expected.

Sam's reaction to seeing his angel boyfriend dead on the floor in season 5, Ep 19. Okay, so, I want to think, that Sam and Gabriel had a secret relationship. Like, they met in a bar after the events of Mystery Spot and Gabriel turned out to be a really nice guy and it hit off there. And the only reason they kept it a secret is because Sam knew Dean would go bonkers and the Angels might try to kill him or Sam. Then, when the Gods meeting happened and Lucifer killed Gabriel, Sam started crying and he was really depressed because he truly feels alone now. So, as Sam looks at Gabriel's body, he starts sobbing and says, "Nonononono, Gabe.. Not you too.... I've already lost Dean... I can't lose you too... Please... Gabriel...! Please! Come back!" Truthfully, I'm only on season 8, so I don't know if Gabriel comes back or not, but if he does, I'm drawing fanart for that. Maybe a bit more light hearted than this.
