what a sight it was — great JEDI MASTER luke skywalker, proclaimed chosen one to some and mysterious entity to others — running around the store, flying his newly found remote controlled plane. once brought to this… TARGET ( a marketplace of a sort, he notes, admiring the shade of red ) luke had at first tried to be a support figure, someone the others could turn to if needing reassurance or a face to talk to. yet he quickly realizes most of the people around didn’t quite know who he was yet, leading his attention towards the windows and watching in awe what this storm had been maintaining ( rain would never stop being fascinating to him, the concept of water falling from the skies, an avid CONTRAST to the environment his childhood has flourished in ). however, it wasn’t long before he started exploring and wandered into the TOY section ( flashback to his model craft, kept in his space on tatooine as a reminder of his dream, his craving to find a purpose outside of the dry, sandy place he’s always called home ) and here he is now, akin to a child, naive of his surroundings ( yet truly keeping so very much aware ) as he bumps into another. “WHOOPS, sorry.” insert a distracted, but apologetic, smile here.

HATE so palpable ascended like molten lava; its searing vanity incinerating all but savage recollection. ‘ fire upon that man ’ -- that rodent, that flea-ridden bantha, that failed excuse for jedi lineage. to gaze upon him made him wish to execute his very bloodline. his palms itched to seize demolition. what visionary hypocrisy was this, which deserved the bearing of dissimulation ? he wanted to become FRAGMENTS of ASH, to s u f f o c a t e this man before he reignited. gloved digits clenched, black-clad nails still biting into armored flesh. when they curled, the motorized jet concaved, wings crumpling, electric engine but scorched by diabolical power. it cascaded, smearing parts across glossy flooring. “ skywalker. ” how far could ruin reach, before its stretch shattered the stratosphere ? how far could calamity taint, before it stained the entire hemisphere ?

the dark was powerful. more so than rey ever would’ve envisioned. she felt the strength surge through her like never before. it was a gateway to danger, to a dark destiny. but it’d been necessary to save the resistance. to save her friends. to save her family. as she meditated, sitting cross-legged in the warehouse part of the store, where it was empty and silent, she trembled softly, small whimpers leaving her lips. her hair was not in her three knobs or pulled half-up, but rather down to her shoulders and scraggly. a black cloak laid across her shoulders, though she still donned her jedi tunic underneath. the darkness scared her. but it was taking over. meditation was the only time her true self, the light version, came out. her brow furrowed as she focused harder, squeezing her eyes shut. she heard shelves topple over, and boxes crash into the ground. cracks even began to form in the concrete beneath her. but then she heard the double doors creak open, disturbing the silence, and her eyes shot ope. then they narrowed. she kept her back to the person, still staying in the corner of the dark, large room, and didn’t move even a bit as they walked in, simply staring emotionlessly at the seam where the walls met before her eyes.

it was true -- the darkness lulled you. yet its slumbering deliverance was not saccharine. its phantom structure led the specter toward its erupting grave, toward the girl, toward her dissipating heart. he’d yet to detect such conflict. before, he had fed her mind with stinted falsities. but now, did she allow its tenebrous essence to tour her veins ? to drench organ caverns in inky black oil ? their irrefutable connection may have caused him eternal strife, but it doused the usurper in doses of morbid curiosity. when her endeavors were alight with struggle, its potency bled against his soul -- a seeping soul that only she would claim to still exist. he’d sought confinement for monstrous sanity, and the warehouse’s occupant lacked his prying necessity. “ i told you what i saw. ” the scavenger, turned toward darker ambitions. her features bore the temptation he had succumbed to as a caged student. “ do you still deny it ? ”

“ by slaying rebel scum. ”

“ not build the deathstar, for one. ”

“ DISSAPOINTED. ”

“ NO. ”

“ did i FIRE upon her ship ? the better question is: did she EVER love me ? would you forgive the one who came to murder you in your sleep – do i strike you as the forgiving type ? ”

“ that was the point, was it not ? to let the past DIE ? to forge a NEW reign ? ”

another pained shout escaped rey as she continued wrapping her shoulder. the hotel’s little health office didn’t provide much in terms of bandages, but she attempted to deal with what was given. but the pain was too much. hux had shot her with a blaster from short range, after all. the now bloody bandage unfurled from her shoulder and to the floor as she stumbled against the table, panting heavily and whimpering but trying to keep the tears back.

STUPID GIRL. the banshee’s sharp staccato had resounded much like it had within snoke’s sinister auditorium. he had been a cocoon amidst the top floor, only venturing from his shadowed sanctuary in order to settle mediocre disputes with the severity of consequence. it seemed infuriatingly appropriate that the resistance’s acclaimed jedi was the one to elicit a trigger-happy adversary. he stood as a fractured pillar at the door’s threshold, a hostile stare descending. his mouth parted, tongue delivering its verbal taunt: “ stupid girl. ” a disagreeable gaze dissipated, yet the tinge of malice still sparked his low tone. “ is your aim so terrible that you shoot yourself ? ”
