she’d  known  from  the  beginning  that  she  shouldn’t  trust  maul.  and  yet,  her  greed,  her  lust  for  power  (  alongside  pre  vizsla  )  had  led  her  to  ignore  the  warning  signs  playing  on  repeat  in  her  mind.  “ your  slaughter? ”  there  was  almost  a  laugh,  but  the  bitterness  she’d  felt  stopped  it  from  escaping.  she’d  imagined  satine’s  death.  many  times.  nightmares  had  littered  her  sleep,  knowing  that  every  plan  she’d  made  with  death  watch,  every  outcome,  led  to  the  demise  of  her  sister.  but  nothing  had  prepared  for  her  to  feel  like  this.  “ we  should  have  let  you  die  on  that  ship. ”  her  words  held  a  fire,  an  further  unsaid  threat  behind  her  words  as  she  looked  at  him.  “ it  would’ve  made  things  a  lot  easier,  wouldn’t  it?  if  whatever  plan  you  have  doesn’t  kill  you,  maybe  i’ll  get  the  chance. ”
