With all this anti-black women slander on twitter and all over social media, we just wanted to let sisters know that we love you.
The film company Azure professional director Lawrence Coke created this visual love letter of Black men in London speaking on their love and appreciation of the Black woman.
Twitter makes me ill somedays, it's not even hard to find anti black woman tweets and it's mostly from other Black men. As one half of @sa_cove and as a Black man I feel ashamed especially when I think of all the times in the past when I've spent talking to sisters, saying it's not "all of us, don't label me", instead of my efforts being directed at the ignorant bloodclarts making these statements. "Dark black women are the ugliest animal on earth", is a tweet my little cousin sent me. My blood boiled because all I wanted to do was rip out his windpipe, When brothers say it's not his fault, "its the system", I look and say "well to be honest I don't even give a damn", because if he wrote this without thinking about his mother, sisters, cousins or friends, then he's too far gone and a lost cause, because our biggest supporters are black women so by default he's a traitor and we don't need them. To all my brothers who don't think like this, tell a sister "you are beautiful no matter what, like the earth, the universe, the beginning and the end... you are dark and you are beautiful". (For the ignorant brothers a good kick to the face will be enough... tell him it's tough love).
So for now, sisters please as watch and remember we as Black men will be lost without you.
