Yk I had multiple people ask for my “underage nudes” on tumblr, had multiple 18+ y/o parablogs follow me, and seen many jirai and yan blogs prey on children. All on tumblr. I know yall wanna warn people about mastodon, about its pedophilia problem but we have a BIG pedophilia problem HERE and still recommend jiraiblr/yanblr for people to vent, express themselves, and find community.

I get it. We’re attached, we dont see the problems we have as big as they should be seen. But i see too many people screaming about mastodon and not enough people handling our OWN situation.

I just think its a little silly. If you see a pedo acc, and or contacted by one please report, document, and block. The most effective way of keeping them out of our spaces is to let your community know who to avoid and report. We should NOT just be blocking and then moving along.

This goes for all platforms. I have yet to experience a pedo acc on mastodon but that doesnt mean they don’t exist. Nobody is ignoring the pedophilia problem, it’s just that they haven’t experienced it, like, the majority. (I will not speak for all but Jiraidon is very close nit i fear we wouldve been told)
