This is something that has been on my mind for a long time, but I didn't have the courage to say it out loud. Lovely @namedlunagoddess uploaded tik tok and it motivated me to write this post.

I've been fighting with art theft lately, like many artists in cod community. People don't appriciate our hard work and use us for their popularity. From what I noticed, a lot of them follow my accounts, because when I upload something, they quickly repost it on pinterest or tiktok without credits. Pls understand me, I do it all for free. One render can take me several hours or more. For example, I spent 2 days on the last one, because I didn't like how it was turning out and started from scratch several times - when I share something, I want to be fully satisfied with it. It is EXAUSTING when you need ask for the bare minimum (credits) and even then you're not listened.

I don't make money out of it and the only thing I have is Kofi and Patreon but I'm not going to force anyone to do anything.

You probably noticed that I upload everything in lower and lower resolutions with bigger and bigger watermarks. These are not full pics - I crop them to non-standard resolutions, and 16:9 are only on my Patreon, because I'm sick of art theft. Why? I had a few cases of people selling my art as designs for t-shirts, phone cases, stickers, etc. Previously, I tried to hide watermarks so that they would not be so eye-catching, but people were using it against me. Tik tok and Pinterest are the biggest-*censored* For example, this is what happens when ppl don't give credits and edit out my watermarks

Another thing that annoys me is reposts of my art, even here on tumblr. When you do that, you are taking away my credits. I try to make everything available on different platforms, but I guess it still doesn't help. Most people can't read watermarks and will assume that if you upload it - you are the author.

It takes me 6 hours (on average) to make one render, and it takes you 6 seconds to write credits. Please respect my work, because more and more I want to drop everything and stay only on Patreon.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to give credit to artists, especially when they have their content out for free. it helps the artist to reach a wider audience and if you enjoy the art so much that you want it on your page or dash, then you should go to the trouble of tracking down that artist and give them the fucking credit.

it makes me violent seeing that imbecile credit Pinterest when asked, like are you mad? will you do anything to get a few pathetic views like STEAL ART ? I'm not on tiktok and one of the many reason is because of these entitled little assholes crossing moral lines and acting like it's nothing.

I've seen people repost your art here on tumblr and I've fought, reported and got blocked by a number of them and I know I'll get banned if I get a tiktok.

I'm so sorry that you feel you are not appreciated and it's entirely valid to feel like everything is taken away cause it was you who put in the hours and effort and watch people take away the credit for it. It sucks so bad and I'm sorry. and it might not help but please know that there's are many decent people in this fandom who love your work so much that they write fics for it, rb it while losing their mind while giving the due credit.

I don't know if there'll be any solution to this. Some people just don't have the common sense to do the right thing. and some are just plain assholes. you can put a big ass watermark and in a way that they can't remove. you can add your link to your accounts on other platforms here and on others platforms too, so that it'll be easier for those who do want to tag you. or like you said, if you feel like it's the right choice, go full on patreon. that way you can protect what's yours and monetize it.

Finally, I know you are the sweetest, so you might censor it. so I'll call them for what they are. THIEVES. TALENTLESS THIEVING FUCKERS.

Haha so idk the exact context for this artwork, but I imagine it takes place a short while after the campaign is done. These two have gotten closer, or close enough at least for Ghost to be comfortable mask-less around him, and to crowd Soap against a wall LOL!! I love these guys sm!!
