this might not make sense because im still a bit sick and still have a bit of brainfog but the idea of grandma english has been on my brain for a while because all of the alpha guardians (outside of egbert because i have a whole other idea of that guy) feel like theyd be Neglectful parents ? kinda like the beta guardians alr are but i feel like the dynamics shift around. alpha rose doesn’t know how to connect with a kid (adding how she raises yiffany in bc for extra evidence) so while supplying roxy what she would need, she then proceeded to store years worth of alcohol to her. alpha dave i always imagined is a drug addict. and if alpha dave is spiritually mom lalonde and alpha rose is spiritually gpa harley, then would gma english ghost bro strider ?

and its not to say that shes a horny abusive piece of shit like bro, but i do think jakes issue of feeling like he needs to be this idea of a man and leaning into this gun slinging adventurer while crying to bgd about not wanting to conform to these ideas people put him in yet finding comfort and ease doing so is just. like. idk. i feel like the alpha guardians were Soo underutilized which sucks but i think gma english was like the type to call jake a blubbering pansy for not shooting a doe square in the head. which is kinda funny because jake is a male character that suffers from misogyny so its fitting if his Grandma of all people is forcing these ideals to be stronger

and its all bittersweet at the end because jake does need to be stronger. his place in the universe in its core sucks and if he isnt strong then he’ll be dead. gma english probably had some awareness that anyday now her time will come so having to push her kid to Not be a kid was probably all she could do. but i do think there was good times, jake does view her in a good light when talking about her (albeit again Hussie didnt USE THE 4 GODDAMN GUARDIANS 😂😂😂) and probably knew that if she didnt do anything then he wouldve died in those lusus filled woods… idk. kinda a rambleski but i do think its interesting to think about.
