I feel like Shane haters just hate him because of his mental illness. Yeah he’s mean to you at first but that’s probably one of his coping mechanisms. Y’all love Haley and she does the same.
The only thing I don’t like about Shane is his room. It’s messy and there are beer cans there even after he said he recovered. Ik sobriety isn’t linear and he’s gonna have some slip ups but I feel like his room doesn’t really reflect him anymore when you marry him.
If you can name one reason why you don’t like Shane without mentioning his looks, personality (how he’s mean to you at first), or mental health/ alcoholism then I’ll hear you out.
Ik some people are just like “I don’t wanna date him cause I don’t wanna fix him” which is valid but that’s not a reason to hate him. You don’t have to date Shane no one’s forcing you too. But in my opinion there’s no valid reason to hate him. Unless you have personal beef with him like I do with Abigail. But just by his character alone there’s no valid reason to hate him.
