A collection of companion dialogues heard while camping in Wrath of the Righteous.
A huge thanks to @beeperbee for pointing me to the game file where I could find all these exchanges. I’ve spent the last few weeks extracting and identifying them because UESP and the Fallout wikis spoiled me and I’ve been chasing that high ever since.
I’ve tried to color-code the companion’s names with the colors used in-game and alphabetized it by whoever speaks first. I’ve enabled comments, so if I got something wrong, or if you can identify one of the speakers I couldn’t, please let me know! Or just say something nice.
General - All the companion dialogue that’s not tied to a specific trigger like an event, location, or romance.
Finnean - For some reason, Finnean’s general dialogue was separated out from the rest, so everyone’s favorite psychic blade gets his own tab.
Knight-Commander’s Birthday - The companions can all wish you a happy birthday! I love this.
Romance - The happily-in-love, the broken-hearted, and the commentary of all those in between. There were a few here I wasn’t able to figure out.
Event- and Location-Based - This is where it got dicey. The second speakers were no longer listed in alphabetical order, so I had to use context clues, speech patterns, and overall characterization to figure out the ones I could. (For instance, Woljif speaks with a lot of contractions, and Seelah despises Greybor even more than she dislikes Regill. Greybor calls Lann ‘lad’, Wenduag calls Daeran ‘golden boy’, and Nenio doesn’t call anyone by their name - but Sosiel is called ‘brother’ by both Seelah and Trever.)
Character Colors - The hex codes of the colors I used, pulled from my own screenshots.
This was a labor of love for a game I’ve fallen hard for, and I hope y’all find it as fun and interesting to read through as I did!
(I’m not sure, but this might be my favorite.)
* - I might still change the formatting and organization around, and I’ll update unknown speakers if I learn who they are, but the content is complete.
