genuinely one of the reasons I love your ninogami series so much is because you do the salt RIGHT in regards to alya's actions in road to redemption and you follow it up with some absolutely adorable relationship growth between nino and kagami in the sequel.
What I mean is by doing the salt right is you don't make Alya a fuxking caricature who can't grow from where Lila's led her. You do let her grow, and let her find her own way in making up for what she's done. Like Nino said, Rena Rouge was a good hero. Maybe one day Alya can be a good example of what a hero should be for the people of Paris again, whether that's working with a kwami or not.
alya has and always will be a dear character to me, and to nino; i'm hoping that reflected in the way that despite everything, nino holds no true ill will or resentment against her for making mistakes.
i'm hoping one day, alya will follow her own road to forgiveness next too. but that's in the far future for me, if i ever find the time to do something for it!
will u ever continue that espurr effect fanfic or is it done?? cuz like... theres only 11 chapters of it on ao3 and bede hasnt turned back to normal yet so...
i will continue it, yes!
i have a draft of the next chapter in my documents, but as of the present, i'm both under contract work that takes up a lot of my time and not yet in the right mindset to properly wrap it up the way i wanted it to wrap up years back. i'd really like to finish it because it's a dear fanfic to me as well.
if it assuages your worries, i've been recently updating a fanfic i left on unfinished for five years, trying to get it to reach its conclusion. i have hopes that i will be able to offer espurr effect the same treatment in the future!
after all, i know how it's meant to end - it's just a matter of being able to string the ideas together properly to make sense!
