It’s the way some of the most mediocre shows and performances get nominated, but the Television Academy has a problem nominating Jeremy, of all people.
It’s sad that Jeremy’s work from season 3 onwards is so underrated because not every actor can convey so much through their body language, facial expressions, and eyes. He’s one of those actors who can do so much without a single line of dialogue.

I have so many feelings about The Bear after its final season, but for now all I am gonna say is that Jeremy has had to do the heavy lifting with his performance in Seasons 4 and 5, given the kind of writing Storer has done for Carmy.

Every new thing I hear about The Bear makes me more annoyed about the last season.
It’s the way I already know the ending is going to disappoint me more than Game of Thrones ever did. 😭
I can’t take anyone seriously who thinks Jeremy does the same thing in every role. Shameless and The Bear alone should tell you that’s not true. His portrayals of Lip and Carmy are so distinct that you can’t even imagine Carmy as Lip, or vice versa. And those are just the most obvious examples.
seriously, every time I see someone say Carmy is just another Lip it pisses me off because there’s no way anyone with even a little bit of media literacy actually believes that. then again, a lot of those same people think Carmy is just screaming and shouting for four seasons straight.
at that point you’re not even watching the show. so much of Jeremy’s performance as Carmy is in the body language, the facial expressions, the way he carries anxiety, trauma, and depression in every movement, and especially in his eyes. reducing all of that to “he yells a lot” feels like deliberately missing the point.

The trailer for the final season is reminding me again why I thought Storer should have stuck to his original 3 season arc for the show instead of dragging it out.
I had actually liked season 3 because Storer was able to depict an extremely realistic portrayal of depression living within you, but season 4 didn’t land for me with the direction he took with all the psychological warfare surrounding Carmy.
season 3 and 4 are one long season that could’ve been condensed into a single season. but if storer really wanted to tell all of that story then i think the show should’ve just ended last year. with better execution though.

The stuff some of you write about Jeremy’s personal life is downright insane…acting like you the man personally
every time i think i’ve seen the stupidest take on the bear, i come across another one.
and so many people, like an actually alarming number of people, do not even have a basic understanding of the show.
why is A24 holding Enemies hostage?? At this point, it looks like they’re gonna push it to next year 😫
There was no need to have Jeremy stuck with the Claire plot line. I get the point of her character but Carmy is such a layered character that there were already ways to explore and understand his trauma and how it shapes everything about him.
So much more could have been explored through his relationships with Mikey, Donna, and Richie, but instead they keep him stuck with that.

I would love to see the cast do a proper sit-down interview considering it’s the last season, but there is no hope from FX, Christopher Storer or the cast itself.
