I find it a little unrealistic Rocky doesn't know what a sneeze or cough is enough to be freaked out ab it when Grace does it, ppl cough to clear their voice and sneeze quite randomly sometimes for no reason, but its not infrequent enough that Rocky goes so long without knowing that humans just do that sometimes that it isn't automatically filed away into weird leaky alien problems.
Now hiccups on the other hand would make perfect sense for Rocky to be unnerved by. Depending on the person you could genuinely go years without experiencing hiccups and when Grace finally dose catch them oh boy dose Rocky think its fucking freaky as hell.
Cuz like imagine they're already on Erid when Grace gets hiccups for the first time in nearly a decade, and at this point Rocky isn't expecting many new things to pop up after they've spent years together stuck in a metal tube but suddenly his friend is making some kind of involuntary yipping sound and Rocky is sooooo weirded out that its just normal for humans to do that bc apparently they evolved from fish???
