She and Hope have started taking turns. I’m pretty sure they’re trying to babysit me, or something, for some reason.

Rebekah and I never really left. Well, it seems I know less than I thought but I haven’t seen him in..a good amount of time. Tyler Lockwood was my first hybrid sire. Our history goes way back and it was a lot less than pleasant. He spent a lot of time trying to kill me. I think he was partially jealous of my charm and how I used it trying to win over your mother. He’s actually one of her ex boyfriend’s. That was…a different time, though. If he showed up we still probably wouldn’t be friends but I think he’d be more focused on the fact that the Lockwood name has carried on. If things do end up working out I know your mother and I would like to meet her, only when you are ready of course. Well, not everyone can handle us.

I guess that explains why Alison seems to adore you guys. Sort of. There’s more but I’ve been afraid to ask her. Oh, that was the first sire...huh. Mom told me that, actually, and about the...’weird alpha dick measuring contest’ between you guys. Her words, not mine. If anything happens, I’ll tell you. Probably before Mom because...well, she’s Mom. That’s true. It was fun in Arizona, proving I’m the best. But there’s no challenge to it here.

I was one of the few parents that were consistently here back when we had the camp. That was an…interesting time. I am just glad my brother’s children do have Tatia since he is evidently not here but I try my best. I don’t hold it against either of those girls, it’s just very unfortunate what the Lockwood bloodline had turned into with this…Kane. I wonder if he truly knows what he is, he is in fact hunting his own kind. Ah, one of Olivia’s children. I’ve heard Freya talk highly of her because of what she’d done for Kara.

Yeah, I’ve heard that, too. Beca talks about...all of that a lot. I heard someone say Kol was here, but the only extended family I’ve met is Rebekah, so what do I know. Did you know the Lockwoods before they turned into vampire hunters? I know Mom found out Jo was one and got...weird, said something about history repeating itself, or something. Her name’s Danielle, in case you were wondering. I don’t think Liv likes me, but most people here don’t so that’s not new.

Oh, he loves when I bring that up. I still think I’m more of a parent to Alison as well, my dear brother has never been good at staying in one place. We all have different ways we think we should go about it. I’d just behead them all but Freya won’t let me and Rebecka won’t either. Her girlfriend’s parents are…part of all of it. So, I’ll hold back until I can’t anymore. Just do me a favor and stay away from any of those young girls, Rebecka and Freya’s ties to the ones related to that council really make it more complicated than it should be.

I think she still kinda does, in a way, but that might be wishful thinking because she’s a badass. Well, Ali and Hope get into weird...bonding discussions sometimes, so yeah probably. Don’t hold it against Jo, she loves Beck. It gets annoying sometimes to listen to her obsess over not knowing what to do. Nah, don’t worry, the only girl I’ve been interested in since we got here has a mom that apparently...shares a kid with Freya, or something, so I’m not gonna make things more complicated for once.

Was just having a discussion with Damon earlier which is surprising because we spent the better part of two years trying to rip each other’s throats out. Probably longer than that. You know, in light of recent events with this…impetuous council we all have to stand together. We’re all almost a big dysfunctional family. But you know I will always have to put us Mikaelson’s first. 

...Right. You could always just tell him it should be a team effort since Beca considered you her dad for awhile. She, uh, she’s told me the stories. At least some of them. I know, Dad. Honestly, I’m just surprised that council is still a problem, but I think I know more about that than Mom wants me to.

Constantly being babysat aside, I could be worse. If nothing else, I think I finally got used to this place.

“Eh, most of the townies are boring anyway.” Ryan grinned. “But not you.”

“It’s honestly pathetic how thankful I am that you’re related to almost everyone else in this town.”

“It’s both a blessing and a curse, trust me on that.”
