Steph
: Stephanie sat on her bed in her dorm in between Ryan's legs as they listened to music, just enjoying each other. Her eyes were shut, a huge smile spread across her face as her back was pressed to his chest. She softly twirled a piece of her hair with one hand, the other on top of Ryan's on her hip. "Ry?" she said softly, breaking the comfortable silence.
Ryan: Ryan leaned back against the headboard of Stephanie's bed, letting himself get swept up in the music as he enjoyed every second of being with his girilfriend. Unable to contain the grin that spread on his face when she said his name, Ryan pulled her closer to him before lifting her hand to his lips and kissing the back of it gently. "Yeah, Steph?" He asked, curious as to what was going on in her mind.
Steph: "You know, I've been thinking, we should hang out with your friends. I know I kinda swooped in and stole you from them and you probably miss them, plus- I'd love to formally meet them." Stephanie didn't actually have many friends at this school, she didn't see a reason. She had her studies, She had Melissa, She had Ryan- She had both of there packaged deal, Nate... she didn't need anyone else.
Ryan: "You'd think that but I'm actually pretty good without them." Ryan said with a smile. "Don't get me wrong, I love my friends and I would love for you to spend time with them but I'm glad that I'm not with them as much now. Especially since they're getting in a ton of trouble. They're close to being expelled." Ryan said and sighed. He knew his friends missed him and to an extent he missed them too but Ryan wanted to be better for Stephanie and make sure she knew how important she was to him and that included letting go of some of his vices. "If you want to meet them, we can do that. But I don't think hanging with them is a good idea."
Steph: Stephanie smiled wider as he spoke, "No, It's okay. If you're happy laying here with me everyday then hell, by all means." She cozied into him more feeling as though she'd never be able to get close enough to him to meet her hearts content. Before anything else could be said or done, Stephanie's phone began to buzz. When she answered it, seeing it was a face time, she hopped off the bed. "Hey daddy!" She said in a perky, very princess like voice, hoping he didn't see Ryan.
Ryan: "I am more than okay just laying here with you everyday. Thank you for wanting to make the effort though." He said with a smile on his face as she moved closer to him, ducking his head so he could kiss her neck briefly as she moved. But before anything else could happen, her phone rang and she basically jumped out of his arms once the facetime started. Ryan sat up and ran his hands through his hair and smirked to himself at the tone of her voice as she spoke to her father.
Steph: "Hello Stephanie, how is everything darling?" Stephanie smiled widely, "It's great! I've made tons of friends and I'm getting all A's!" she said, trying not to break her facade. "That's wonderful. Are you in your room?" "Yeah, I am. My roommate is out though." "Well you know, Brad is coming with us to-" Before her father could finish his thought about the boy he wanted her to date from back home which she'd yet to tell Ryan about, she continued, "But my friend Ryan is here! You'd love him." Her father cleared his throat, "Careful, it almost sounds like you do." Stephanie laughed, "Funny dad. Anyways, we were about to eat so I'll call you later okay? Love you, bye." Stephanie hung up, letting out a large breath. She sat back down on the bed, relaxing back into Ryan, shutting her eyes again. "God he's annoying." She just silently prayed Ryan hadn't noticed.
Ryan: He sat and listened to the conversation Stephanie was having with her dad and he couldn't help but chuckle at what he was hearing. It was all entertaining to him until he heard her dad mention some guy name Brad coming with them somewhere but Stephanie cut her dad off before he heard anything else. So Ryan waited until Steph hung up the phone and got back into the bed with him before he asked. "So who's Brad and where is he going with your parents and why does your dad seem to think that you'd care?"
Steph: Stephanie let out a loud puff of air, "He's coming here with my parents... because they want me to marry him." she said, making it sound like no big deal.
Ryan: "Why is this the first time I'm hearing about him?" He asked, trying to keep his cool for the time being. "Cause it sounds like you've known about him for a while."
Steph: "I mean, yeah, I've known they wanted Brad and I together sense I was like 13 but it... never came up...?" she said, almost asking if this answer was okay.
Ryan: "Oh." He said with a sigh, not knowing what else to say about it. "Do you like this Brad guy?"
Steph: Stephanie let out a sigh of defeat, turning to face Ryan. "I like you, Ry." she retorted, pushing her finger into his chest softly as she said this.
Ryan: Ryan playfully grabbed her fingers after she poked him in the chest before shaking his head. "That's not what I asked you, Steph."
Steph: "If I liked Brad why would I have not started dating him years ago?" she inquired softly. She liked him, he was the only guy she liked. He was the only guy she had ever actually, really, genuinely liked. But her parents wishes were something she wasn't ready to deal with.
Ryan: "So then why are they still pushing him on you?" He asked before kissing the back of her hand softly.
Steph: "Because they think their way of life is the only way of life." she said, then leaning in a bit she continued, "But- I disagree. I think I've found a pretty great way of life that may just be better than theirs." she let out a small giggle, smiling widely at him. "Now can we never talk about Brad again?"
Ryan: "Maybe you should tell them that then." He said with a smile and leaned in himself so that his forehead was on hers. "So maybe this guy won't have to come." Ryan shook his head with a small smile before laughing along with her. "You and me can stop talking about him, yeah. I just might have to talk to my friends about him though. See what kind of hell we can raise while he's here."
Steph: Stephanie's smile grew even larger then, "Works for me." she then thought about what he'd said, about telling them. "The king doesn't understand anything. He won't accept what the Princess wants even if it's the only thing that makes her happy. But she'll run to the end of the earth for her Renegade, so who cares about the King, right?"
Ryan: "This is true. He only makes himself known a few times times anyway so he's not all that important, now is he?" Ryan said with a smile before leaning over and kissing her softly. "The Renegade would go to the end of the earth for his Princess. You know that, right?"
Steph: "Not at all, no." Stephanie's smile only grew. "Yeah... I know." she said softly.
Ryan: "There's nothing that I wouldn't do for you or to keep you safe and happy, Steph." Ryan said and held her closer to him, his fingers softly running through her hair.
Steph: Stephanie let out a content sigh. "We have a few months before the King and his chosen Prince arrive anyways, so why worry about it- right?" she said, nearly asking instead of saying this as a reassuring detail.
Ryan: "And in those few months, I'm gonna have you all to myself and never let you go." Ryan said, and flipped Stephanie over so that he was hovering over her... "We're gonna have a blast baby."
Steph: "When don't we?" she said, her smile growing even larger. "Ry? You're the best thing that's ever happened to me... you know that, right?"
Ryan: "And you're the best thing to happen to me." He said, wrapping his arms around her softly. "Can I stay with you tonight? I don't think Melissa would mind. Especially if we're good."
Steph: Stephanie giggled a bit as he spoke, "Yeah, totally. I love it when you stay here. It's easier to sleep in your arms."
Ryan: "Good. I love you being the last thing I see when I go to sleep and the first thing I see when I wake up." He said with a smile. "What would you say if the renegade wanted his own place soon and wanted his princess to live with him... what would she want to?" He asked. It was purely hypothetical at that time but he wanted to know what she'd do.
Steph: Stephanie face grew into shock, her smile still prominent on her face though. "You'd wanna live with me?" she said, the adoration in her eyes growing by the second. "I'd- I'd love to live with you, yeah."
Ryan: Ryan smiled at the surprised smile on her face, nodding his head at her question and leaning forward to kiss her softly. "So should that be the next steps we focus on, Steph? Us moving in together somehow?"
Steph: "I mean, yeah. Hell yeah." she said, nodding excitedly.
Ryan: "Okay good." He said and kissed her gently, holding her as close as he could to him
Steph: Stephanie rested her forehead against Ryan's as they pulled away, keeping her eyes shut as the cuddled. "We should take a nap."
Ryan: "I am all for a nap" He said, letting out a small yawn before laying on his side and wrapping his arms around him
Steph: Stephanie closed her eyes and as she drifted off to sleep she whispered, "Night Ry."
Ryan: "Night Steph." He said himself as he closed his eyes, feeling himself drift in and out of consciousness.
