Reeder

Theres a big game tonight, so Reader wanted to support her big brother Dean. Reader arrived early and got front rows seats so she can have a much better view on the feild. once the game started, clashing began. every once in a while, reader would scream along and cheer on the ducks. that really boosted the ducks and made them win.

after the game, fans were starting to leave. except for reader, she went straight into the backroom with an id given by her brother so she can access the building. as she walked to the hallway, she suddenly bumped into someone

"Ouch--watch where your going alright?" Luis said with a calm tone. but slight irritation "Wait.. Hold on.. aren't you from the bleachers?" when Luis got a better look on her. he was confused.

"Yeah, i am..?" Reader was dusting off her shoulder. then looking at him. making eye contact.

"Oh, I get it. your here because of me huh? how'd you get here sweetcheeks?" He rolls his eye, brushing up his hair. trying to look good. "Need an autograph?"

reader was surprised. "What? hold on--did you just call me sweetcheeks?" She was stunned. this guy's ego is big... "No-no I wasn't here for autographs I was here for-"

"No it's okay to be shy, cmon where's your paper at? or do you want your jersey to be signed?" luis being oblivious. he keeps trying to hit.

"Okay, hold on. Im here for my brother's game alright?" Reader finally said it. she sounded annoyed. but if you took a closer look at her, you'll see the faint blush on her ears.

Luis was surprised. then coughed, his ego kind of bruised. "Brothers game? oh, you have a brother in our team? who is it?" he asks. this time more genuine.

"It's Dean portman. he said I should visit his game since it's gonna be a big one.." Reader explains. even turning around to show her Portman jersey.

the more Luis stared at reader. the more he's mesmerized. then suddenly flinches. "Wa-wait your Dean portmans little sister?" He sounded genuine nervous. he's even sweating.

"Uh.. yeah?. why?" Reader asks. confused..

Luis was now scared. "Oh Shit--if he finds out I've been trying to hit on you he might kill me!" he panics.

then from afar, someone calls out to luis.

"Luis! we're gonna celebrate our game tonight! Come back here!" Dean Calls out. while walking towards luis. fortunately reader was just behind the wall so Dean couldn't spot her

"Oh hey look it's de-"

suddenly Luis covered readers mouth by using his palm. and he pins her to the wall gently. "Shh!" he mumbles. then turns to dean. "I'll be coming in a minute!"

"Oh! luis, you got a girll???" Dean sounded supportive. but he doesn't know the girl is his own sister.

Luis freezes. "I-uh.. yeah whatever man! I'm having a moment here!"

"alright I'll leave you two lover birds alone! say hi to her for me!" Dean chuckles. and turns around and did not waste time to get back. since he wanted to celebrate already.

Luis sighs in relief. when Luis turned to reader. he froze again. readers got that same death glare as dean..! Luis immediately removed his palm from her mouth.

"Why did you do that!? I could've talked to my brother! he's the only reason why I'm here.." Reader groans. slightly flushed but still

"if you did he would've killed me! I think everyone knows how Dean is overprotective of our team. but could you imagine how overprotective he is to his sister?!" Luis pants. thinking of scenarios on how Dean woulda kill him..

"Thanks to you. i couldn't get to congratulate him, but since he's celebrating with you guys already. I'll leave." Reader sighs. as she dusted off her self.

"a-alright. see you around I guess.?" Luis slowly breaths. then takes a step backward. to lessen there closeness..

"goodbye, and congratulations ..." She mutters. then turning. as she walked to the exit.

luis just waved, but just by watching her walk away. he's already fallen for her. he shakes his head. if he has a death wish then he'll pursue her. but he's way too young to die. he thinks to himself. before also walking away and heading to the celebration.

when Luis got there. everyone was teasing him about his girl. when Luis gets a girl he's just confident about it and shows her off, but this time. he's a bit embarrassed about it. since the fact the girl he's hitting is portmans sister.. anyway, when Luis seated close to dean. Luis smirked.

"hey dean"

"huh?" Dean mutters, while eating a burger... really messy.

"Well, my girl wanted to say congratulations for winning tonight's game" Luis smirks.

after the celebration Luis regretted saying that. he doesn't even know why he said that. but atleast somehow.. reader congratulated dean.

Note :: first time making a request... and it took so long.. im very sorry! i delayed this so long, and finally uploaded. after writing, i kinda wanna write more but i know my lazyness will demotivate me so.. hopefully i can continue this cus i see a potential series here! i was wearing my reed jersey while writing this lolol

Reader is currently practicing in the rink alone. minding her own business. as she does practice and all that, but suddenly. This tall, cold looking hockey player barges in the rink. skates inside, and drifts to the board smoothly

"Your not supposed to be here." Reader calmly mutters. as she looked at him. intensely. trying to figure out his intention.

"No, Your not supposed to be here either." He mumbled against his helmet. his panting is echoing through the entire rink

She scoffs. as she lowers her arm down and stands still. looking at him. "Well yeah. But what are you doing here anyway? i got the rink first." She responded. her voice sounded annoyed.

"The rink isn't for either of us. You dont own it, I dont own it. Its free to use." He just does laps, skating the whole round rink. his breathing is so loud she can hear it from afar.

"You didn't answer my question." She glared at him. humming along. counting how many laps he's already done... 4... 5... 6....

"Im practicing." He responded straightforward. not wasting his breath to talk to her. instead wasting it just to continuously do his laps.

She watches him like he's some sort of entertainment. "You look angry. Something happen?" She asks. just curious.

"Mind your own business." He replied annoyed. his facade cracking slowly.

"I would, If you weren't out here panting and whimpering like your singing to me." She shrugs. but still stares at him.

He then stopped, his skate drifting and the ice scraping. "I thought figure skaters are supposed to be quiet and innocent." He blunted. turning towards her.

"Im one of a kind. Your lucky." She crossed her arm. raising an eyebrow.

"Wow, Am i being blessed or what?" He raises an eyebrow. surprised at her confidence. his voice uninterested.

She smirks. in a evil grinning way. "You are. so before i bless you too much. you should stop practicing and let me practice my skills, which are... already mastered." She looks towards the exit. pointing it.

"Oh, your so kind aren't you?" He grunted. being sarcastic. as he turns to the exit. before looking back.

"A special kind like you should have an audience. to watch just how perfect you are." He just called her special in a negative way. as he crosses his arm. leaning towards against the boards and watching her.

"Is it my turn to show off already?" She scoffs. offended by his backhanded compliment.

"Go on. I'll be watching." He removes his helmet, his hair flows out and his sweat drips. he raises both his eyebrow. tilting his head.

She smirks annoyingly. his little comebacks are getting annoying. she shouldn't have poked the bear. "Yeah. Sure. whatever." She chuckles frustratingly. as she skated around the middle.

She did her tricks, Maybe a spin, a twirl, some long lap swaying skating? Whatever she did, she did it excellently and gracefully. a judge or two would rate her perfectly.

"Thats supposed to be perfect?" He wasn't satisfied in figure skating. more on scoring and beating the hell out of guys. It was his first time too seeing a figure skating performance.

"You haven't seen anything yet." She scoffs. annoyed at his lazily response. like her performance wasn't top notch.

"Oh, i really would love to." He responded in a lazy, cold tone. like he has no interest in seeing whatever she does.

suddenly the lights went off. the entire rink was dark. only a blue dim light lit in the middle. sparkling reader even more. (the rink is closed off. the staffs didn't know there was 2 people inside the rink arguing and probably flirting too.)

"I guess we hit curfew." Gunnar scoffs. looking around. before his eyes found her figure in the darkness.

"You wanna take the honors?" She points to the exit.

"Ladies first." he glances the exit. shaking his head.

The Hockey season just started recently, and some teams are new just like 'Pronghorn North Dakota' (Fictional Team,mixed-gender team) They're currently on a streak. and fighting nearby prep schools. todays game, is Pronghorns VS Ducks. At the rink, 1-2 hours before the real game. On-ice warm-up drills just started. as both team stretch and warm up.

Meanwhile, Fulton & Dean are currently yapping to each other. talking about what they ate and did before entering the rink. before opening up to the topic about they're enemies from the opposite team.

"I've done some research about these guys. and they just became great because of their new captain. Miccha Evertone." Dean mutters.

"Heard that guy was so strict- so strict he's like captain blood" Fulton snickers.

"Woah, that's an experience i wont forget" Dean chuckles along fulton

Finally, Game time. players gets in position. Reader (y/n) is back at the bench as a 3rd line and Captain Miccha is at the 1st line as a starting lineup. The puck drops, averman gets hold of the puck and drags it to blue line. before being checked and loosing possession of the puck. a teammate from pronghorns keeps possession and speeds through their blue line side to the opponents blue line, then passing sideway to their winger. the winger baits out and lets his teammates get in postion. before doing a no-look pass which his teammate expected and scored immediately. the score is 1-0. the game was fast paced, just like the animal they represent (pronghorn)

"What the hell was that? i just blinked and they scored!" Dean groans. pulling down his visor and sighing

Next period, goes the same. 3-0 with some counters but they always and somehow gets it back in a speedy way that you cant react or think fast enough for it. some players from the pronghorn start to get tired, and the coach decided to finally put Reader on the lineup, changing position with a exhausted teammate while midgame.

but right now, Dean is charging up to the offensive zone with the puck in his stick after anticipating a pass. Reader immediately acts up, and starts catching up. trying to check him.

"Your persistent aren't you?" Dean grunts, before slightly bumping. making Reader loose competition with dean. "But im more persistent."

Dean scores, and the ducks celebrate by circling around him and cheering. Dean absolutely loves the attention and cheers along as motivation. "We got this in the bag boys and girls!"

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that." Reader scoffs, wiping their stick and tapping it on ice for preparation.

"Oh will do and will do it." Dean just shrugs. like this will be easy.

For the next minutes, ducks just keep scoring and the pronghorns just catches up. scoring, until 3rd period. the score is 7-7. tied. 15 minutes left, Dean covers up Reader to intercept a expectable pass.

"Move it bastard!" Reader grunts. annoyed.

"Nah. I need your teammates to feed you a pass, so i can feast on it right after!" Dean laughs.

Reader shoulder checks him and he looses balance, as Reader gets away.

5 minutes left in the clock. the first team to score will probably win.

The puck flies out and bumps to the board. worse place to grab a puck. as everybody is eager to get it. Dean was the first one to try grab it before suddenly Reader pins Dean and tries to grab also. "Give it up, Duckling!"

"Not a chance, sweetheart!" Dean checks Reader before successfully pulling the puck out. he makes a pass to fulton. who scores right after.

the timer runs out, and with that last minute goal, the ducks wins.

"You play fine, but not great." Dean chuckles before reuniting with his team. celebrating joyfully.

"Cocky bastards...." That game ruined ProngHorns winning streak. but they wont back off that easily, they'll come back greater.

Tomorrow, that day, was a hell of a day for her just because she chose the wrong jacket. She picked this army green jacket, And matched her outfit with it. when she went to school, she was getting weird stares and giggles. and she was uncomfortable with it. she saw linda and immediately asked her.

"Linda! Wh- whats happening why's everyone staring at me?" She asked, nervous. Linda took one good look of her and chuckled. immediately finding out the problem.

"Take a look at..." Linda looks around. finding the solution, then finally sees him. as she pointed at him. "-At him." Linda smirked. before turning around to get books from her locker.

While Y/N slowly starts to piece things out... She looks at the guy linda pointed at. it was Fulton. Why? when she took a good look at him. she... She blinked a few. before suddenly Going behind Linda's back.

"WHY THE HELL IS FULTON WEARING THE SAME JACKET AS ME!?" She whispered roughly to Linda. gripping her shoulders for life. as she hides away.

"No idea, the school and i also thought you both were like... a thing now." Linda snickers. giggling while organizing her books.

"Thats impossible! i wouldn't go near anywhere that guy!" She gulped.

She closed her locker and looked at her. scoffing. "Go near anywhere that guy? - oh please. Your literally his partner for the dance-ice project"

She gulped. caught lacking. as she leaned her head against Linda's back. "Oh god. help me." she muttered.

Then someone spoke. "Y/N?.. Why the.. Why the hell are you copying my outfit?" Fulton asks. taking a good look of her. before glaring. eyebrow raised. everyone perked up, looking at both of them.

"C-copying!?" she coughed. "Excuse You?! Copying? Your a real jerk aren't you? I was only picking the last jacket available i had!" she defended herself. annoyed at his assumption.

"Could've picked a better one y'know?" He sighed. before walking away. annoyed as his friends tease him about it. also ruining his day.

The crowd disperse. and Y/N was left with Linda who both wanted to go to class already.

"Y/N! you there? We have to come out!" Fulton called out, leaning against the wall next to the door. waiting for her to step out. just like the other guys also waiting for their partner to go out.

-But now, She cant even avoid him even if she wanted to. as she walked back & forth in the girls locker room. until somebody outside called her out

Y/N finally steps out, Embarrassed and quiet. she places her hand on the wall, trying to keep steady as she tries walking with the ice skates.

Fulton immediately realizes and holds her still "Y'know thats not how- Okay, nevermind." Fulton sighs.

-before leaning down, placing his arm underneath her legs, then scooping her up in his arms. She gasped- surprised. as she covered her mouth. trying not to make a sound. This looks so weird in a different perspective and she didn't like that idea.

" What are you doing!?" She was confused. as she feels the stares just like back then at cafeteria.

"Its going to take long if you walk with skates on and you dont even know how to." he shrugged. it seems weird, but hes trying to do this the fast way.

"Your unbelievable!" She groans underneath her palms. as her ears turn red. she's embarrassed.

He knows that she cant really skate, another pain in the ass. but since his old coach teached him how to skate. then he'll pass on his learning onto her.

"Can you step in the ice?" Fulton asks. just to be sure, before he sets her down right on the rink entrance.

"No! Obviously!?" She immediately jumps back to his arm- hanging on them like support. as she pants slightly. then looking back at him whos disappointed but looks patience enough.

"Okay. okay. ill teach you." He grunts.

then giving her a demonstration on how to step on ice without slipping. she somehow easily got it. and they're on ice now. but shes gripping on the boards like shes gripping for life. He skates around, and glances at her before sighing.

"Can you move or what?" He asks. then he stops skating right infront of you. your noses almost touching. you could almost feel each others Breath. You were so shocked that he got close, That you stopped breathing then just stared at him. it looked like he was trying to corner you. But instead of him leaning closer, he actually was leaning in to grab your hands from the board. once he did, he pulls it out the board and holds it tight on it so she can rely on him for support.

"Wh-What are you doing!? I still cant skate!?" She mutters. as she looks around frantically. her hand noticeably trembling. her legs starting to unbalance.

"Yeah, im teachin' you here." Fulton sighs. as he holds her hand tightly. and he slowly guides her to move along with him to the middle of the rink.

"Now, lets try walking. just swing your leg more to your side and keep straight." He teaches her perfectly on how to walk on ice slowly. she's a fast learner so.

As time passes, They both are skating together, Fulton walking backward to hold onto Y/N's hands and keeping her balanced. while Y/N bends slightly, swinging her leg while walking, focusing ahead. while listening to his tips and advices. They're genuinely bonding slowly. and even get close sometimes.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. and everyone immediately hovered to the exit of the rink. and it was crowded. the others barely got out from the commotion. Y/N soon followed the crowd and went to the lockers to change. it was stressful but atleast she got out. And is still trying to forget whatever happened back there in the rink.

-She groaned. as she shoved him away. Instead of trying to unlock her locker again- she just stole his Mathematics Book so she could bring the book to her next class (which is math.) instead of her own notebook.

He was pissed off- and he was about to try grabbing back his mathematics book, but she already fled. How annoying can she get!? he thought. now that he looked over to the broken tape on the ground. he bented a knee, and looked over to it.

"Whats so important about this cassette tape anyway?" He grunted. before placing the tape in his pocket. using the cassette tape as the gap to fill his missing mathematics book.

After school. he fled from his practice because he went to the record store to window shop. While scrolling around he was trying out some musics before deciding to pick this, that.. but as he checks the ep out, he realizes theres a sign at the counter. 'Cassette, Vhs, etc tape repair or fix available.' --Which reminds him of the cassette tape he has in His pocket. He decided to get it fixed which costed some but not alot. He casually left the record store, supposed to leave with 2 CDs but instead left with a fixed tape that he didn't even own. His first thought after getting it fix, was to own up to her for being an asshole (even though she started it...)

Next day at school, He planted an envelope inside her locker. Placing the fixed cassette inside the envelope, Alongside a 'sorry' note. But kept it anonymous even though its obvious..

She found it after her 2nd period when she was grabbing a book. and when she saw it, she lit up. surprised. She just stood there for a minute processing the situation. before crumpling the note, and putting the cassette tape in her pocket. she was so pissed off for some reason, Maybe because she felt herself actually flustered and surprised. like she wouldn't expect this in a million years. she shook her head, trying to remove the thoughts that included or related to him. it just made her more flustered because of it. In the corner, he was watching her walk away awkwardly after reading the envelope which he got a good laugh from. the way she lit up and looked pissed and amused made him feel something he didn't feel before. and his heart quickened because of it.. he wasn't sure what it was but he wanted to feel that moment again.

He kept an eye on her for a few days now. And as more days passed, the more he gets to admire and observe little details about her the more interested he gets in her. but he wouldn't get close to her ever, Because its pretty awkward between them.

On a thursday, The teacher in P.E dropped a bomb. "Get a partner." pfft... as if that was easy, People already have their own buddy. Or their own 'go-to-friend'.. While She just stood there... thinking what friend would accept her. but before she even talks to a friend- fulton suddenly grabs her arm. and they both just froze.

"Wait.. Uh.. You dont mind do you?" Fulton asked awkwardly. gulping down, like he regretted this just now. He stares at her, before looking away. his hand gripped tightly at her wrist. and he stepped closer next to her. as if already making it clear, their gonna be partners for this project.

You both just awkwardly stand there. ears red, hands trembling slightly, side glancing each other then looking away. Some people noticed. and started snickering about it, And when word got to the Ducks. they started LAUGHING hard and teasing bad. Its unbelievable that the two that kept bickering when they first met are going as partners for the project. And the Ducks got a BETTER laugh when they found out the project is 'Ski-Dancing' Fulton froze, Dancing in... Ice?.. With a girl he doesn't even have a good conversation with? He thought it would be a project making posters, papers and all that. and he wanted to use this situation as an opportunity to talk to her. BUT THIS WILL JUST MAKE THINGS MORE AWKWARD.

The students head to the rink arena. As the teacher slowly led them to the rink. Y/N was stressing out alongside other kids because they don't know how to skate. and especially Y/N is conflicted because she's sharing this dance with None other than FULTON. the guy she used to despise and avoided always.

The hallway was loud & Crowded. Lockers were covered, forcefully pushing, and footsteps were the 2nd more annoying than the chattering. It didn't change at all even after the 'Varsity' of the hockey team - Just entered the hallways, looking for the cafeteria.

"Whats our next class?" Charlie asked, Looking around.

"It's Lunch Obviously dumbass" Goldberg sneered, as his face lit up the more they got closer to the cafeteria.

"Jeez, Alot of animals barking around here!" Dwayne mumbled. Concerned about the way the hallways were like a barn full of animals.

They got inside the Cafeteria, Still crowded - More louder.

"They should hire animal control here.." Dwayne, Still on about his 'dog' jokes because the students around them started to sound like 'em.

"Where do we sit Charlie?" Fulton finally butted in, Stopping Dwayne from muttering more dog jokes before someone hears him. For him, He's impressed on how lively the school is.

Suddenly, A chair scraped. a girl waving around in the middle area table.

"Charlie! Over here!" it was, Linda. Charlie's girlfriend ever since the J.V & Varsity showdown. Linda had some friends along seated with her. but alot of empty seats, enough for Varsity hockey team to butt in.

Charlie immediately sprinted towards the seat empty next to Linda. claiming that spot, and making his team sit in their own seats. It was a hassle, fighting for their seats. and Charlie wasn't even paying attention to the conflict behind him while he was busy staring off on his girlfriend. In the end, Everyone got in their own seats that interested them. But there was a small problem for Fulton. He was seated next to this 'girl'. he didn't know who she is. but it was awkward. He felt like a creep sitting next to a child based on her height. (but they were both in the same grade level anyway.)

She was just doodling on her sketchbook, before suddenly these randos started sitting next to them. Then she realizes its Linda's doing. so she tried stepping on Linda's foot- but accidentally bumped into Fultons foot instead. Fulton Yelped- And the others looked at him, before he glared at you.

".. ouwch! What the - seriously?" He yelped and glared at her. even groaning. He was annoyed because he wasn't even bothering her. and she still bothered him. and now, Both of them are getting the stares.

"Got a problem or something?" He asked. voice rough and confused. turning his head to her. and slightly shifting his body.

"Sorry, But your foot is just in the way isn't it?" She blunted. annoyed. before standing up abruptly. her chair scraping the floor. she grabbed her bag and books, leaving the table.

Linda wanted to call over, but she was always mad sooo.. they just left her to calm down. she'll come crawling back anyway.

"Whats her problem?" Fulton asked. Genuinely confused. as he shrugged, then he placed his bag onto her chair. not caring much. so he crossed his arm and continued talking to his friends.

"She's just short tempered you know? But really. she doesn't like meeting new people." Linda sighed. before turning to Charlie - and.. making out i guess. The Ducks were disgusted and used to it. But, Fulton was curious about her.

After a few more classes. he bumped into her again, in the hallways. They both just found out their lockers are next to each other. Which pisses both of them more. Before she even grabbed a book inside her locker- He shutted it. And turned to her. confronting her.

"So you hate me or what?" Fulton asked. curious on her reaction. She was shocked when he confronted her suddenly. That her cassette tape fell and cracked a bit.

"Shit-!" she gasps. but she didn't bend down to grab it. she glared up at him. "Are you just here to make my day worse?! Your Annoying you know that?"

She groaned. as she shoved him away. Instead of trying to unlock her locker again-
