daiyu frowned empathetically, pulling biyi into a hug. “stop– you’ve been keeping up remarkably. and you have an excuse– i’m worse than you, and i haven’t had any major injuries! you’re a starlet.”

“you have a sexy s-line weighing you down. that’s an excuse. and you’re really not bad,” biyi mumbled into the hug, resting her head on her friend’s shoulder. “i’ve been an idol much longer than you, too. i should be better.”

he grinned. “good! i’m excited. here, sit down. i’ll get the lightener prepped,” he said, going over to his product cupboard to grab all he needed.

“oh god, lightener... what have i gotten myself into,” biyi let out with a little cry, lowering herself into a chair reluctantly. “im going to end up bald.”

“yein was really nice to tone down our choreo a bit this time, so it still looked good but wouldn’t leave you behind!” rosamie commented with a bright smile. “you kept up wonderfully! and it was so, so nice to have you back…”

“oh, i know-- i’m so grateful. i never thought i’d be so happy to go to the side of the stage and stand and do nothing for such periods of time,” she laughed, rubbing her temples with her fingers. “it was nice to be back. i missed this so much. you all, too.”

“You’ve always been patient with the rest of us, it’s only fair to do the same for you, right? We’re a team, it’s better if we help each other out,” Hinata said, beaming. “It’s good to have you back, Biyi–Terra just isn’t complete without you.”

biyi let out a little whine, pulling the younger member into a hug before she started crying like a baby. “you are a sap,” she whimpered through a voice crack, pouting. “i missed you all.....now we have to get a win!! i want to be there to thank the fans this time!!!”

“what– did you expect us to just drop you? let you flail? as if,” mija answered, laughing and pulling biyi into a hug. “you did better than you give yourself credit for. you might need to work on your so what a little, but you’ll get there.”

“no, but.... get frustrated with me, absolutely,” biyi answered bashfully. “i just don’t want to hold you back, okay? you all worked so hard without me and did incredible things. i need to do my part to make up for all the time i missed.”

“so? you’ll have new hair and feel refreshed and pretty and confident. i think that’s worth it,” he insisted softly.

she sighed, smiling. she’d been anxious about songyi getting a boyfriend, especially one who was staff, but theo was good. he was a very good man. every time biyi talked to him, not only did she feel safe, but she felt relief and joy for her friend. “you have me convinced, then-- do what you must!”

“i suppose, but surely it still was kind of like that, all five of you living together?” andy offered with a sad little smile. “ what about with terra? some of your girls are pretty young– does it not elicit the same vibes?”

“not really. i felt more like the annoying younger sibling the other four got stuck taking care of,” biyi admitted sheepishly. “and terra is different too. i’m the older one. it’s the same thing, except the roles are reversed. no slumber party just..... taking care of songyi,” she laughed

There’s a soft pout that pushes it’s way onto her face but she nods regardless,  knowing that their leader was right; between Suda, Wes and Mija, whenever she had to speak they’d make sure she as as prepared as possible  so that things would go over smoothly. “That’s true…”Jiwoo let out a soft hum, organizing the kitchen counter for a moment before turning back to her phone, “Is there anything you need though? Like… snacks or something?”

she smiled softly. “no, i’m okay. andy’s been keeping a close eye on me. she keeps her fridge and cupboards well stocked,” the idol retorted with a tiny laugh. “and i’ve moved from the big meds to just advil, so i don’t need to refill any more prescriptions. things are on the up and up!

The younger was a worry wart and the other Terra girls knew that. Truthfully, her levels of anxiety were slowly increasing as Terra began to reach more and more acclaim and while she was happy that her road to achieving her dream was become easier and easier, the rapidness of their growth was definitely something she was unprepared for. When their leader, of all people suffered and injury; Jiwoo couldn’t help but fuss over the injury. “No, I mean—” She sighs tiredly, wringing out the rag she had used to wipe down the counters of their dorm, “How can I not be worried? What are we going to do without you?” Truthfully, Jiwoo needed all twelve of the members; even just one being absent was enough to start her trembling on stage back up again. “If you’re not healed by the time our comeback comes, who’s gonna speak for us? Who’s going to step up and be the leader without you?”

biyi tried to fix jiwoo with the most stern gaze she possibly could over facetime. “you’re going to listen to wes and work hard like you always do,” she said, trying to be soothing and firm at the same time. “mija and suda do a lot of talking anyway-- i’m sure they can both step up to the plate and share that burden. i have complete faith that it will all go off without a hitch, okay? wes is too neurotic for it not to.”

“i have to be honest, i know next to nothing about choreography. i’m still surprised half the time that i’m an idol. but being told that we’re doing big things is really cool– even when i don’t understand.”

“for someone who doesn’t know anything about choreo, you consistently kill it every time it’s given to you,” biyi commented. “you never look out of place when terra performs, anyway.”

“that’s not that far off from other slumber parties– there was always one girl who was the buzzkill mom friend,” andromeda pointed out

“i wouldn’t know-- my mom never let me have one of those. and by the time i was living with deviant, most of us were getting closer to our adulthood. but those always sounded fun.”

“yes, you’re right. they trust us a lot more to be able to deliver more complex pieces on a regular basis, and that’s nice. i really think we’re breaking down boundaries for what kind of choreography girl group can do.”

“that was the biggest thing that i saw after butterfly-- people said that our choreo was really... androgynous? like it could have been a boy group or girl group choreography. which is cool. like.....a lot of girl group choreos are really hard, but look easy because part of why they’re so hard is making them look effortless....but also, being able to bridge the divide is really cool.”
