Me: You know, all fathers should be like the merchant from RE4. Always there for you, keeping a calm head, and no matter what stupid things you do, never being condescending. He lets you struggle but just when the loneliness and and terror is too much to handle, he steps in and gives you the means to combat it. I can not tell you how many times the warm blue glow of the torches signaling his presence made my heart flutter; I was safe at that moment with him. A true father, like the merchant, should support your choices, even if he does not agree with them. For example, the Red 9 hand gun that he sells you is of world war 2 era design, and not a solid one at that for the gun it is modeled after was very prone to jamming and was infamous for its inaccuracy.... Not to mention in this game it is over 60 years old if it's an original model, yet he supports you, raining praise and wishing that it serves you well. I don't know much about Leon's past, for I'm not huge into RE, but if their was any hole in his heart that a father hadn't filled.... I like to think that the merchant at least patched it up a bit :') The merchant: Okaaaaaaay..... Stranger. Happy Father's Day my three beautiful followers :D and if this holiday brings you the struggles instead of joy.... For whatever reason, don't celebrate the man who wronged you or hurt you.... Celebrate the merchant.
