musings that tide with time

It's hard to find quiet in this world.

Waiting half an hour for a bus in -10 degree weather wasn't something enjoyable. To escape the windchill, we hid inside this phonebooth and had fun watching those outside shivering.

</Denmark> Alleyway I don't know where this path might take me, but I think it looks brighter than dark. At this moment I can reconsider, but my body is taking me ahead. I hasten my pace a little. I do not stop. A little small fishing town right after exiting Sweden and into Denmark.

The lake was a great expanse, the giant which brought into order a form of quiet, conducting the winds and mist. None so imposing, a reassuring presence. And boy did we shout into the open skies, across that lake. A liberating sense of limitless, like we could do anything. 

</Thirasia, Greece> Sailing into the Sunset Thirasia, the most commercialized island in Greece for it offers the most spectacular view of the sunset, and lingering passionate rays over the lovable white Strogili houses. We squeezed atop this little outpost, already filled with other tourists alike, vying for a good spot to appreciate the sunset. I managed to climb above onto a higher rock (a little treacherous in hindsight) to capture this photo. The rattle of chatter died down quickly as the sun bade its farewell, almost seeming tiresome of it's daily performance. A hush, people trying to squeeze off shots. Lovers kissed while the last of the day's light remained, dancing over the open sea; and we all revelled in the grandeur of nature.

We were actually lost, travelling through farm backroads, looking for our next B&B. mehhh.

Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

There is space, but none so emotionally; we can wander but there is no end.

its like peeling at a scab, or reading a book; to be momentarily lost, to be somewhere else

There is reason to not know, the unknown about things that is attracting. We crave the pursuit, yet desire the end. A space between the engagement and the moment of truth. Overwhelming and pleasurable at the same time, that is, if we recognise the beauty of it.

The constant ebb and flow, countless reminders of who we are. Where we are going, the continuity awashes us with a step forward. There is no shell or shelter, this is an adventure.

Somewhere in Denmark

and you're that beautiful

It's the feeling that you're home, wherever you are, because that's where my heart is.

I can almost hear the waves again

and where the people seem more contented.

I think we get so caught up sometimes, we miss the sparkle in life.
