Fifty years ago today, on April 29, 1976, after performing a show in Memphis, Bruce jumped the wall at Graceland to try and get an audience with his idol, Elvis Presley. He was stopped by security who informed him that Elvis was away in Lake Tahoe, and they didnβt quite believe Bruce when he tried to explain that he was actually famous and had recently been on the covers of Time and Newsweek. Bruce was ultimately escorted off the premises.
