wow. haven't logged on here for a long ass time. actually I haven't felt like doing a year recap in ages, mostly cuz i had been pretty depressed since 2019, that is, until 2024.

I guess it is the best year I had had in 5 years.

January- march had been a bit stressful, trying to figure out whether or not all my documents would be accepted for my move back to spain, kiara's documents, everything. also stressed at work as I was unhappy, unsure what would happen if god forbid my visa would be rejected.

as of march 1, moving back to barcelona has absolved all my worries and depression of living in istanbul for the past 3.5 years. of course in the beginning it was a bit stressful, even leading to some insomnia, to sort all my paperwork, to find a flat, etc. but even finding a flat was super easy - i found one in 2 weeks - a record time for many people looking for a flat around me as well.

not to mention i went back to having sex. almost definite celibacy for 3.5 years in istanbul had taken its toll on me. the recap on that was 5 french - 2 argentinian - 1 catalan - 1 italian. french mussell king was the best lay of the year except the physics phd psycho argentinian that lovebombed and ghosted me and broke my heart. but since he is toxic he doesn't deserve the 1st spot.

i didn't really have feelings for anyone but the arg phd asshole - but that's ok. i feel like im just coming back to the scene after a hiatus.

travel wise i haven't done much, just been to mallorca that i haven't been before and it was lovely. also back to turkey for a bit for my colonoscopy lol.

money wise also doing good. although i didnt work for the first 6 months, i was lucky enough to find a lecturer job in the fall term at 2 unis which keep me afloat. also in 2025 i will have more hours, plus maybe another university.

i made new friends this year as well.

healthwise i was ok as well, except the little colonoscopy thing and the fungal infection stupid toshi gave me.

i do not have any regrets of this year. but here are some things i am looking forward to in 2025:

buying my first ever flat. literally cannot wait. hope to have NYE 2025 party at my place next year with all my loved ones. decorating it the way i want to.

being employed full time by swiss business school. they did tell me they would employ me full time once they had more student.

depending on my flat hunt situation, finally making it to thailand for world volleyball championship.
