As haphazardly as usual, Hizashi helped himself to sit on the unoccupied part of the desk after sliding his hand away from the paperwork to lean on. He crossed his legs with a small twitch of his tail feathers at the sound of the slight wall up—he longs for the day Enji would let it down despite the playfulness it brought into their relationship with Hizashi mischievously teasing him until he caved ( it's not as if Enji actually declined anything, he'd like to believe he was being rather reasonable! ), hearing that Enji intended on taking him somewhere definitely caught his attention though.

"Oh? We're going somewhere, big guy? I thought we were staying in and doing a TV series speedrun with some cake and burning down the kitchen." He raises a brow with a grin growing on his face, a genuine one.

That was an effort, him scheming something instead of working like his fellow workaholic tended to do for anything that wasn't close ones' birthdays; score! It's rather rare they went out, aside from them both not being particularly people types -- nevermind Hizashi's hero persona, there was the nosey media that enjoyed twisted things and while Hizashi knew how to handle for the most part it was still nerve-wracking considering how many verbal strifes he's gotten into to defend Enji's honor or because a reporter tried speaking ill of any of their family ( while he's never met Rei, he'll gladly defend that woman too. ), at times he felt like this whole thing between them was nothing more than the older man's midlife crisis or something akin to it due to their polar opposites but, then it gets washed away with how Enji subconsciously looks at him.

It was sickly sweet for two heroes that reveled in violence had such tenderness hidden under the hardened exteriors but, it made it all worth it in Hizashi's eyes to be claimed by such a complex man even if it wasn't publicly yet.

Ever the multitasker, Enji shifted the reports closer to himself to resume his review. Not that Hizashi didn't still have his attention, made apparent as the older man's hand idly found the younger's leg. Just to rest there as they spoke.

"That, and you still won't tell me what flowers you like."

His go-to, his failsafe-- gifts. Which didn't seem to work on the Voice Hero as well as he'd always hoped. Enji struggled to wrap his mind about anyone, even someone attracted to him, wanting to spend any substantial amount of quality time with the man behind Japan's No. 2 Hero. Past experiences seemed to say he was rather poor company.

But, it was Hizashi's birthday. And if quality time was what he wanted...

“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.

“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.

“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.

“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”

“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”

"I'm going to be just like you!"

There was a grimace at the reminder of that incident. She wasn't involved in the fighting. But she read the report, and saw the incident on the news.

And remembered the stress happening within the office while it was happening.

"Depends on the quirk and depends on what would cause said activation. And the person, their temperament and such."

He crosses his arms, considering the question for a beat longer.

"...You remember Shoto's classmate, the one that Hawks took on? Darkness and distress cause his quirk to go haywire from what I've been told, and they had to work with the mechanics of the quirk rather than his emotional state. Similarly, from the report I read on the Shie Hassaikai incident, that girl's quirk activated from overuse and adrenaline, and she passed out when Eraser deactivated it."
