        he  stares  at  her  for  the  longest  time,  eyes  glued  to  her  every  feature.  she  should  be  familiar  to  him,  but  she’s  not  &  it  kills  him  to  admit  that.  especially  when  she’s  obviously  trying  so  hard  to  get  him  to  remember  something  he  shouldn’t  have  forgotten  in  the  first  place.      ‘  i’m  sorry,  but  i  don’t.  i  don’t  have  a  daughter.  my  wife  &  i  …  we  never  had  kids.  ‘

        they’re  mid  -  study  date  &  she’s  falling  asleep  on  her  bed,  with  the  books  pressed  to  her  side.  he  keeps  trying  to  give  out  information  needed  for  the  exam,  but  her  sleepy  mind  isn’t  having  any  of  it.  tired  eyes  open  momentarily,  but  close  just  as  fast.  she  can’t  even  keep  them  open  anymore.      ‘  no  …  ‘  she  mumbles,  turning  on  to  her  side  to  face  him,  eyes  remaining  shut.      ‘  …  keep  going.  i’m  listening,  we  need  to  pass  this  thing.  go  on  …  ‘  but  she’s  asleep,  not even  two  minutes  later.

     third  …  ’  she  trails  off  after  a  long  speech  with  a  simple  shrug.  closes  her  locker,  stands  on  her  tiptoes,  and  kisses  him  before  pulling  away.  ’  …  i  love  you.  ’  it’s  the  first  time  she’s  ever  said  the  three  words  and  she  hopes  it  doesn’t  freak  him  out.  ’  so,  you  got  me.  okay?  i’m  not  going  anywhere,  and  you  don’t  need  some  extremely  lame  pick  up  line  to  get  a  date  with  me.  you  can  have  every  last  date  in  the  world,  and  more  …  ’  another  kiss,  and  a  smile  against  his  lips  to  top  it  off.  fuck,  she’s  so  in  love.  ’  …  because  you’re  mine.  ’

         ‘  you  promised  you’d  stop.  ‘      she  wants  to  be  sympathetic  towards  everything  he’s  going  through.  she  wants  her  empathic  power  to  kick  in  &  help  her  understand,  but  she  remembers  promising  him  she  wouldn’t  use  that  power  against  him  anymore.  instead,  she  chooses  to  yell  at  him.  with  how  many  lies  he’s  throw  her  way,  it’s  easier  than  most  times.      ‘  you  promised  this  was  all  in  the  past.  how  am  i  supposed  to  trust  anything  you  say,  when  i  keep  finding  out  you’re  lying  to  me.  i  want  to  trust  you.  ‘

           it’s almost 3:30am & i’ve queued a lot of memes. so i think i’ve earned the right to sleep rn lmao. which is good, because i’ve been half asleep for about an hour now, but i had muse & didn’t want to let it get away.
