The hot springs had far more people today than we've seen since we've been camped here. Probably because it's the weekend. Fortunately, the pools get drained and cleaned on Tuesdays so we'll head back over then. At night we see only one or two people usually. (at Holtville Hotsprings)

Oh My Gawd! We just got to the most amazing campsite we've ever been to! The space is huge and there's so much room behind the tree. This tree not only provides shade through most of the day, it looks like we're in a big treehouse. We are boondocking so we will have to manage the tanks and water while we are here, but I know we can handle it. So thrilled to find a great place. So far the only drawback is the mosquitoes. I'm so glad I got to spend time with my niece and her family today. Zack, Shelli Josh, David and Sophia (in the front.) Doing some solo camping in Joshua Tree National Park this weekend. Got here just in time to get a fire going, my food on the coals and set up for the night. I'm sleeping in the truck tonight because I didn't get here in time to set up my tent before dark, so I'll do that in the morning. Then do some hiking! I rode my bike into Borrego Springs today and met up with Steve who was towing the toy hauler. We're glad we found a gorgeous campsite right out of town to boondock for a week. Quiet, all alone with nothing but desert and sky. I've always loved the desert. (at Borrego Springs, California)
