   “ Um..it’s there.” she gestured towards the other’s ear.

He couldn’t help but sigh again. “Have you checked your pockets?”

“Yeah, I’ve checked my pockets and my bag already”

“oh, no, no. c’mon - ” priscilla pulled herself up and hurried to stand by the girl, placing her hand on the other female’s shoulder. “ you’re not an idiot, rubs. it’s okay. it happens. shit happens. ” she spoke softly, trying to soothe the girl. “ where were you two seconds ago ? ”

“I am, Sav always says so” she shrugged. “I was right here going through notes and writing up an essay” she sighed. It was just Ruby’s luck to lose the most important item that a witch ever owns.

‘honestly. lord help him.’ he laughed, shaking his head. ‘well it’s there, maybe in smaller print. alright MAYBE i wrote it in. but it’s there now. and obviously. we have to make sure sav doesn’t chase my future fellow away, for all we know, she probably already has. and of course we don’t really know! but it’s fun to play. and i like teasing you’

“Well…” He said, staring at the papwork for a moment, “I would help, but I don’t want to…So good luck.”

“ leave what ? ” her distracted voice spoke, but then thick brows furrowed as she turned her gaze up to the pacing girl - ruby, she recognized her - she seemed upset, which made priscilla worry slightly. “ hey, are you okay ? ” she wondered out loud, neck craned & book pushed aside.

“My wand. It was right next to me two seconds ago and now it’s not” she said as she frantically searched through her belongings “No, I’m not. Like who loses their wand? An idiot like me”

“You’re kidding?” Deimos sighed, shoving his books off his lap. “How do you loose your wand? That’s the most fundamental thing for being a witch…or wizard. Whichever.” 

“I know, I know, I fucked up alright? It was right here two seconds ago”

Marcus was walking up towards the boy’s dormitories when he heard the younger Greengrass’ statement. He fixated a smirk on his face as he turned to look at his housemate. “Fuck? Gladly.”

Ruby rolled her eyes at the boy taking the opportunity to throw his statement out there “Can you not. You’ve got two hands use one of those then” she replied without a thought and riffled through some more parchment and textbooks. Once Ruby registered what she said she stopped and let out a deep sigh “Shit, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that. I’m just annoyed i can’t find what I’m looking for”

“Hey, Ruby.” James looked at her, following her eyes. “What are you looking for?” 

"My wand. I’ve lost it under all this paperwork”
