So when the smart kid challenged me to chess, I did nothing but move the horse back and forth in an L shape (after I moved one of the lil guys ahead so that I could move the horsey) for about 5 turns

He genuinely thought I was doing a really smart strategy and sat their dumbfounded as he tried to figure out my "plan"

As a trans man, I was so proud when RTGame publicly said that he would not be playing the new Harry Potter game because he doesn’t support JK Rowling. His community is the most supportive place I’ve ever been in, and since Kevin’s community has been really supportive as well I kind of assumed he’d do the same thing and not play it.

Maybe that was a bit of an unfair assumption, but it’s just kind of common decency, you know? When you have a community like Kevin’s, where a large portion of it is LGBTQIA+, you’d think that it would make sense not to play a game from a franchise made by a transphobic person.

And the fact that he took the sponsorship, as well?? Like, obviously the big issue is that Kevin played the game, but you’re getting paid for it too?

I’m just absolutely gutted. I really want Kevin to address the fact that he played it and apologize, or take the video down, or do something to acknowledge this at all. Because otherwise, I’m not sure I can stay in this community, and I know a lot of other people feel the same.

I love the Irish Lads. I love all of their channels individually, I love all the AUs, it just felt like a place of genuinely good and uncancellable content. (Is uncancellable a word?) But now that’s been kinda shattered, or at least cracked in a part of it.

Not only did Kevin expose his LGBTQ+ fans to hate, but also his Jewish fans, and many of the other minorities J.K Rowling is bigoted towards. Intentional or not, this is really something he shouldn't have done and something he needs to take responsibility for. If not, I think it is completely fair for individuals to not want to support him. Mistakes happen, but continuing to cultivate a bigoted environment will not be a mistake.

After discussions on Discord over the… *ahem* long post problem rtumblr sometimes has, I was hoping we could try something!

If you’re part of the rtumblr rp, could you tag it as such? Just “#rtumblr rp” is fine. I’m also going to use this tag for rtumblr OC designs. That way it’s more easily filtered but fanart of RT is still easily accessible!

Of course, I can’t force anyone to do anything. If you choose to not tag anything, that’s fine. But this just makes things a bit more organized.

I’d also like to add, please don’t tag things as “#rtgame” if they’re not directly related to him! AUs are fine, just don’t tag rp stuff as that. I haven’t seen anyone doing this but just in case :)

My personal system, though this is just a suggestion, is “#rtgame” for him, “#rtcu” for AUs, and “#rtumblr” for the community. I’ll now add “#rtumblr rp” for the roleplay community specifically. And “#long post” is also useful :)
