        Jasper eyed the fusion carefully for a long moment. Being a Gem, Jasper had no concept of sleeping and its importance, but Stevonnie did look rather glum. Heaving a quiet sigh, Jasper settled next to the permafusion and leaned back on the palms of her hands. 

               “Alright, tell me about ‘em then.                       Maybe if ya talk about these Diamond dreams, they won’t plague ya so much,”

  Sharp inhale, the sound of their own voice finally registering in their ears.  “Are you sure? I mean- It’s like you said, it’s- It’s probably nothing. Dreams are weird like- by default, so...” Fidgeting, nervously, in their seat like they were having the- Just the hardest time letting this thing g-

    “Uhhh, that’s- That’s other-dimensional code for ‘pain in the butt’... I didn’t think that’d hurt as much as it did.”

Do you know how HARD it is to find anything in space? Like- No, seriously, do you? Unlike Earth, you’re looking for things along three axis. An X, a Y and a Z, things can’t just ‘be one place or the other’ in space, they can be ‘EVERY PLACE AND NO WHERE’ and so- Genuinely, Stevonnie had been lost on their way through the Citadel. 

  Don’t even get them started on how everyone was either a RICK or a MORTY here, or how they were both (all) staring at them. It was- It was messy- “Oh, Officer!”

Screeching to a halt, cartoon style, the amazonian knight happily jawed away with an Officer for a few moments, looking to find their way toward... well, their Morty! Or- “He’s... Last time I saw him he was wearing an eyepatch?” How many patched Morty’s could there be anyway?

It was endearing to know they instilled full trust within her. At least someone still could. She had left the Gems with so many secrets, not even Pearl knew of them. And even now, she struggled to explain them all. ❛ I’ve found that sometimes my intuition isn’t the best. I wasn’t entirely honest with them before I… ❜ Disappeared? Died? Gave up her form?  ❛ Well, just before I suppose. How can I expect them to be honest with me when I don’t provide the same loyalty. ❜
