When Hannibal originally utters these words from his Baltimore cell, it is an act of intellectual seduction and poetic provocation. At that moment, Will is desperately clinging to a manufactured normalcy—his marriage to Molly, the dogs, the quiet life in Maine. To Will the profiler, the phrase feels like a monstrous intrusion. It is Hannibal attempting to taint his "clean slate" by invoking the intimacy of their past, and Will rejects it entirely.

But when Will echoes those same words after slaughtering Dolarhyde alongside Hannibal, he isn't just quoting him—he is validating him.

Looking down at the blood on his hands, he conducts an empirical experiment. The ethical filter of the profiler has vanished, leaving only pure aesthetic perception. To say "It's true" is to say:

"I have stopped fighting your worldview. I looked through your eyes, and reality is exactly as you painted it. And to me, it is beautiful."

For me, it's not exacly about Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy themselves. I adore the concept simply because of the pieces they starred in together.

King Arthur? Hannibal?

Tristan and Galahad are separated by centuries from Hannibal and Will. And yet, they are quite similiar. Galahad said that he did not kill for pleasure, unlike some, to which Tristan replied that he could try, he might get a taste for it. In a deleted scene, Galahad even laments over Tristan's body.

In Hannibal, another character played by Hugh Dancy, Will, is coaxed to let his nature speak by another character played by Mads Mikkelsen, Hannibal, and he ultimately admits that what they did together (killing Dolarhyde) and what Hannibal wanted for them is beautiful.

It's kind of like Tristan and Galahad were soulmates, trying to find each other again for centuries, until they finally found each other while they were in the bodies of Hannibal and Will?

THE possibilities!

What if they were looking for each other in different timespaces, timelines? What if, for example, Will throwing them off a cliff created a time loop or sent them to another dimension?
