oops; all stranger things!

the ideal vehicle for having fun is the ikea pushcart (one or two people can sit on it!! and another person can run pushing then stand on it so easily with those handles) and when we eat the rich we must transform ikea parking lots into public spaces by doing virtually nothing!! just a few picnic tables and flowerbeds or fruit trees, but mostly space to just fuckin glide

What a year this week has been.

It sure as hell is.

while i don’t disagree that the rise of ‘booktook’ seems to lead to some very low-effort garbage being released, and the rise of not-very-good-authors like ali hazelwood, i’m having a bit of trouble seeing this as 1) a totally new phenomenon (twilight was not well-written and was huge, divergent has all the trappings of a Bad Tiktok Books, etc) and 2) thaaaaaat impactful. like i also find that stuff irritating and obnoxious, but there are SO many books out there that get published every year, including ones that get very big, that i can’t help but to feel like this is a problem that is mostly avoidable by reading books for adults
