Smiling at her as he gave her the card which was temporarily blank for now. “Of course. Think of it as my gift to your brother.” A genuine smile graced on his face, he couldn’t help but feel this way - she certainly had an aroma that made him feel like this.

“Iorei, it sounds oddly familiar. Hmm but a lovely name no doubt. My name is Dartz” Holding out a hand for her to shake. “I usually don’t come out often, but today seemed…. quiet.”

  Widely smiling, Iorei was thankful to receive this and couldn’t wait to go home to give her younger brother a gift. Still, she wished she knew why it was blank and had placed it away for safekeeping. “Why thankyou, Dartz...how unique.” 

“You are missing out on a truly exceptional game.” Smiling a little at the fact she brought them for her younger brother. Hands clasped gently behind his back as he soon found himself gazing intricately at the cards on sale. 

“Hmm, actually. perhaps you can give this to him.” He took a card from his pocket and handed it to the lady, it was blank but had an effect on the bottom of the card. “This cards true power comes from when it is played in a duel. Only a select few own this card, consider it - the rarest card in all of duel monsters.”

  She already knew what she was missing out on, but the brunette knew she didn’t have the time to be playing when she had to work and also look out for her younger brother. Turning around, the female stared down at it and tilted her head to the side. His words were rather strange but weren’t sure if she could accept it.

“Forgive me.” Taking a smell step backward he allowed the female in front of him. His gaze admittedly following hers out of curiosity.  “A rather rare card you are viewing, i take it you follow the game of duel monsters?” Quirking an eyebrow upward, it wasn’t everyday he’d speak to a local- usually he’d ignore everyone in sight. They were all the same, after all. 

This young lady seemed innocent enough. Perhaps he’s take the time to learn about them in this day and age. “I wouldn’t advise buying that card, it’s over valued in a store like this… but this card over here. The 7 coloured fish, not rare.. but stunning imagery, do you not think so?” 

  Her feet heading over to stare at the card, it was rather expensive but she didn’t mind spending a little bit more than usual, however once hearing him speak she had turned head to stare and smile at him. “Yes and no, I like to watch people play duel monsters but I don’t play the card game myself. I’m sort of busy on most days.”

Notebook within his palm, taking notes on the very shops he walked past and those that sold KC merchandise. It was rather sickening. His attention was invested within his notes, often stopping his strides to catch up with them. Getting outside was like a treat, he rather enjoyed the peace and quiet. 

Stopping at the card shop, gazing through the glass at the amount of packs that were sold, ranging through the eras of the game. His thought process was disturbed however, turning to a girl who seemingly spoke to him. 

“Yes?…What is it you desire from me?”

  Maybe it was by chance that they were to meet like this, but surprisingly, he didn’t recognise her. Part of her was glad, she wasn’t sure what she could be able to say to him if he knew and asked questions. Only faintly she remembered because of dreams she had but she needed to change what she was about to say.

  The brunette wasn’t sure what had brought her here, alleyways of people walking past, minding their own business and heading into shops. Doing the usual, although today she was mainly looking for a certain rare card - for her younger brother who just loved duel monsters.

“Hello, Iorei.” Critias answered her with a smile of his own. “It’s been a while, indeed. How are you?”

He could tell she was worrying about something, but he decided not to ask - not right away, at least. If she didn’t mention it, he would ask. He didn’t like seeing her worry and wanted to help.

  Chatting like this again kept that smile on her face, it was nicer to not allow others to see how she was really feeling since she was just that kind of person. But, it was nice to get that out of the way and just talk to a familiar face like him.

  “Ah...hello Critias.”

  A smile coming from the short-haired brunette, aimed up towards the familiar man, all his features she took in once again. How long had it been since they last spoken? She couldn’t recall but was rather pleased to see an old face. She had felt so worn out and tense at work, customers coming in and...being quite disruptive - how she hated it deep down. Why couldn’t these people just keep their eyes and comments to themselves? She wasn’t one to show her worries, it’d only make them worry too.

woah! It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here, hasn’t it? And I sincerely apologise for that. But, to get back into the spirit I’d very much want to get back to threading with people.

❛ iorei––? ❜ the more she spoke, the more he thought that perhaps he’d been wrong. perhaps, it was not his essence that took her away. iorei had died that death, but he’d married her when her soul was pure ( it was always pure )–– the oreikhalkos could not destroy a pure soul ( my curse did not kill her, right? he was certain he’d die should his curse be the truth of her death!! ) like hers. in the end, he had waited, eternal & lonely, for the day he’d once again find her pure soul ( countless nights had he spent alone, dreaming of her in his arms once more )–– ❛ is it really you? ❜ 

still, his hands trembled as he reached to take hers. she was fragile in the hands of a GOD, if he was not careful, she would but drown in his divinity. that mismatched gaze ( far less sinister than it had been before the knights once again cut him down, eyes of one who had foreseen but loneliness for far too long ) beheld her countenance with a sort of loving awe–– ten thousand years was quite a long time to wait for any soul ( he would always wait for iorei, always ).

She hadn’t told him her name and yet-  he knew it.  Her feet taken back from  such words. Did he really mean--      his dead wife? 

Already, Iorei had accepted who she was, her fate and   perhaps the woman she  could never be - there was   already someone else within. Her past life, her time   as Queen; that was all that would be to it.

It was nicer to know the comfort of someone, in his case - her.  A wide smile expressed as she always had. A pleasant look   of contempt and bliss.

“It must’ve been scary, hasn’t it? There is   no need to feel lonesome anymore, I’m here.”

Her words comforting as they always have, even when   being reborn. It was nice, to have  someone she could look   out for and accept into her life.
