there is something awful about this organization ( doma, the servants of the orichalcos- ), about this man so far from where he was meant to be. he is a relic of a history that had failed; unworthy of z-one’s attention, but he had certainly caught paradox’s. the data told him that doma had tried to destroy the planet, and thus they were enemies of the iliaster. because they were selfish and greedy and ... where z-one was willing to sacrifice a small amount of people to save the human race, this organization... they were not that way. 

was his own grand design flawed? yes- he’d been shown that it was not the duel which had ruined the planet ( and z-one had once told him ... would it be different if he’d listened? ), but the despair and darkness of human hearts. history had shown that the orichalcos amplified that darkness to the point it turned people into monsters- 

       and that fact alone told him what he had to do.

“ we, the iliaster, have sought a path to correct history and to save humanity- and it is people like you who drive moment to that conclusion- to the death of our planet! ” 

   “For all the pain and suffering that you have caused -- for all the lies you spread and the lives that you ruined, I ought to strike you down where you stand.” The normally gentle voice of the Guardian was now cold and filled with venom. Her sword was dug into the ground, hands resting on the pommel. 

Pins and needles tingled through his entire body, and Yuugi woke with a soft groan. He was laying on something hard and smooth, which confused him. Why did he feel things now? Wasn’t he...?

Violet eyes open and Yuugi looked groggily around the room, taking in his surroundings. Then he moved, and heard the clink of a chain. It was attached to a cuff on his wrist, and it lead directly to the man sitting next to him. 

His eyes widened. 

Shaking his head as he stared down at the sands. Although the waves of the water was calming and settled his anxiety, he was unsure of what to do next. There was no path left to follow.

“I cannot do that. We aren’t right, we were wrong.”
