you have a crush on seo changbin but he never quite paid attention to you. which is why you decide to make him drink a love potion in order for him to fall in love with you until things turn for the worst.
tw: slight yandere theme, stalking
a/n: been wanting to write this for the longest. I somewhat like the way it turned out. had to rush on it a little so I could post it before halloween was over. so hope you guys enjoy! feedback is always appreciated! - RR
“y/n!” you heard your name being called out from far away. the sudden shout caused you to look up from the book you were currently reading. and when you did, you were met with your good friend who was now approaching you closely. “felix.” you said. “how may I help since you have now interrupted my reading time.”
felix let out a sly scoff, sitting right in front of you. “sorry-“ he paused. “actually no, I am here to inform you that you are coming as my plus one to chan’s party.”
“party?” you repeated, making a face. “do I have a choice?”
“of course not, y/n.” he smirked at you.
honestly, you should have known better than to ask. felix somehow always ended up dragging you anywhere with him, even if you didn’t want to. you had gotten the title of being his plus one to almost anything that occurred. when felix needed you, you were there.
you sighed, slightly shaking your head at said boy when glancing down at your watch. you realized your next class was going to start soon. and the good thing about it was felix was also in your class so the two of you could walk together. gathering up your belongings, the two of you began to walk side by side, trying to make it inside the school building.
“and what type of party is chan having exactly?”
“ah, yes. it’s a halloween party, so you gotta dress up in a costume.”
your face dropped. “oh, great. how fun.” you said sarcastically. “but hey! that means we can go costume shopping tonight after our last class.”
“of course. that sounds like a plan, y/n.” felix ended up thumping you on your forehead, but before you could attack back, from far away you could see a figure walking towards your direction, causing you to stop. “oh my god, he’s coming.” you tried to act normal as the figure got closer to you. “hi, changbin.” you gave him a small wave as he passed you. he only lifted his head, continuing to walk with his friend by his side and never saying anything to you.
you let out a sigh as felix only shook his head. “I don’t get it. how can you like someone so much when he doesn’t even know you exist.”
“he does!” you exclaimed. “we’re in the same class.” you mentioned, which so happened to be the class you and felix were heading to. “so?” felix snorted. “that doesn’t mean anything. in fact, he probably doesn’t even know your name.”
you halted in your walk, staring intensely at felix. he only looked back at you. maybe he was a little right, but you weren’t going to let him know he was. you’ve had a crush on changbin from the moment you laid eyes on him when he had entered your class on the very first day of school.
never once have you tried to make a move, he seemed to always be around his friends. and the times you have tried to talk to him, he never looked interested. but that never stopped your feelings to go away. felix thought you were crazy for that. but you were okay with it. and it was going to be one of your missions to make changbin talk to you. how? you really didn’t know.
you gave felix a small punch on the arm, causing him to quickly grab on it. “what the hell was that for?”
“sorry, just felt like it.” you smirked at him before continuing to walk again, felix following right behind. “you’re only mad because you know I’m right!” he shouted.
you closed your eyes, taking in a deep breath before turning around to eye the boy. “tell you what, I’ll make changbin fall in love with me before the year ends.”
felix let out a loud laugh. “yeah, okay. can’t wait to see you fail.”
the end of your last class had came quickly before you could even process it. and now you were currently walking out of the school building to meet up with felix again so the two of you could go costume shopping. “how was your last class?” he questioned as soon as you walked up to him. you simply shrugged. “alright I guess? nothing major happened and all we did was take notes.” you looked up for a second, seeing the sun was going to set soon. it was starting to become darker a little early now. you didn’t mind it much, having a liking for the night sky a little more than day time.
“so what do you plan on going as?” you asked felix. the two of you had finally made it to a halloween store. and when entering, you were met with many different costumes in almost every corner. felix shrugged. “I don’t really know- hey why don’t we do couples costumes?” you lifted a brow from his question and felix began to explain himself, “not as actual couples idiot, just in a friend way.”
you let out a small chuckle. “I know felix, just messing with you.” you cleared your throat. “but I’d like that idea. what exactly should we do though?”
looking around, there were many things to pick from. felix would pick something out that you didn’t like and it would go vise versa when you would pick something out. one thing about you and felix, the two of you were kind of the opposite. but that’s just how your friendship with him worked. and it was rare whenever the two of you would actually agree on something. “I give up.” you huffed, throwing a costume back in a bucket you had found it in. felix was nowhere to be seen as you turned your head around to find him.
that was until he ended up popping out from behind you with a scream mask. he caused you to jump a little, feeling your heart begin to race. “lee felix!” you exclaimed as you held onto your chest. “got you.” he laughed, taking the mask off. he looked down at it, “I actually really like this mask. I might just get it.”
“hm.” you thought. “if you wear that then I’m just going to wear a white tee with blood splattered around it and on my face.” you grinned. you thought maybe this would be the end of you and felix fighting over what you guys were going to dress up as. “oh yeah, I like that. let’s go with that!”
“perfect, I have a lot of white shirts at home. now let’s get the hell out of here.”
after purchasing felix’s costume the two of you were finally out and began to make your way home. “speaking of chan’s party.” you began. “by any chance do you know if changbin is going?”
“of course he is. that’s like changbin’s best friend.” felix answered. you knew the friendship chan and changbin had. and every time you would see changbin, he was always by chan’s side. he was never alone, which was always hard to you to talk to changbin alone. if it wasn’t chan he was around, it was his other friend jisung. which was the only one of that friend group you could actually talk to.
you had met jisung from having him in a couple of your classes and the two of you instantly clicked. but unlike felix, jisung didn’t know about your major crush on his best friend. you’d feel slightly embarrassed if he did. “so I guess I’ll be enjoying this party after all.” you smiled to yourself.
felix gave you an odd look. “yeah right, not like you’re going to do anything about it when you see changbin.” he said. “and not like he’ll pay you any attention.”
“you know, I like it better when your mouth is shut.” you rolled your eyes. you looked straight ahead, the two of you had made a different walk home which made you walk through a small town with old stores. but there was one particular store that had caught your eye. “hey, let’s go in there.” you began to walk quicker, standing right in front of the door. “magic shop.” you read the name. a little basic for a name you thought.
felix stood next to you, “I’m not going in there.” he shook his head. he was about to walk away from you before you had grabbed on his wrist. “yes you are.” basically dragging the boy, the both of you had entered the small store. it was actually very small for your liking, and you were a little relieved no one other than you and felix were in there. minus the person running it of course.
you were careful when walking around the area, avoiding on causing anything to fall. the last thing you wanted to do was break something. “this place is kind of cool.” you whispered to felix. “and creepy.” felix whispered back. “look at that.” you looked to where felix had pointed. it was a scary doll head that was placed on a top shelf. you made a face, shaking your head. “let’s just get out of here.” felix said.
“not yet.” a voodoo doll had grabbed your attention, making you walk towards it. you chuckled a little. “hey look-“ you were close to grabbing it until a sharp voice echoed through the building.
“no touching, young lady.” an old woman said, coming into view. you flinched back, moving your hand away. “sorry ma’am.” you heard felix snorting at you.
“in what could I help you two with?”
“um, nothing really.” you responded. “we were just walking around when we noticed your little shop. very nice by the way-“ your eyes darted to a shelf that was behind the counter of where the older lady stood. on one row there was nothing but colorful liquids. potions you assumed. “what are those?”
the lady and also felix, looked to where you had pointed at. “ah, I see you’ve taken a look at my potions.” the lady evilly smiled at you. “care to take a look?”
“if you have one to make someone fall in love with me then sure.” you joked, but the lady lifted a brow. she became amused at your words and grinned even harder. felix took notice, trying to signal to you to leave the store already. “now I guess you’re looking for a love potion?” the lady took down the liquid that was a bright pink color. you were taken back for a bit but suddenly became intrigued. felix tried to grab you when you began to walk closer to the counter but ended up failing. “y/n.” he whispered.
you ignored him, holding onto the little bottle that lady had out. you stared at it intensely before looking at the older woman. “this really works?” you questioned. there was only one person who you were thinking about. the lady nodded. “yes my dear. you give this to whoever you desire and it will have them falling in love with you.”
“I’m taking it!”
“y/n! no.” felix said. he already knew the idea that was popping into your head. “absolutely not.”
“oh come on, felix!” you exclaimed. “this is the only way I can make changbin fall in love with me.” but he wasn’t buying it. “no, y/n. I’m sure there’s other ways-“
“but there probably won’t be.” you interrupted. “plus we did make a little deal. this is just to help me out a bit.” you grinned, waving the potion around in your hand. felix shook his head. “I don’t have a good feeling about this.”
you rolled your eyes, looking back at the lady. “I’ll take it.” you said, taking out some cash.
“now remember. only a few droplets. if he drinks more than that, he’ll become obsessed.”
“yeah, yeah. thank you.” you didn’t quite pay attention to the rest of what the older woman had said, being too busy on thinking about giving the potion to changbin soon. and with chan’s party coming up, you knew it would be the perfect opportunity to do so.
day of party
you had placed on last drops of fake blood on your white tee before hearing a few knocks coming from your front door. it only meant felix had arrived so the two of you could go to chan’s halloween party together. “oh don’t you look great.” you snorted when seeing felix in his costume. “enough about me, let’s get to chan’s now. I heard there’s a lot of people now.”
felix held onto your hand, practically dragging you inside of chan’s home. he was right, there was definitely a lot of people. but you were only there for one person. and he was the one you were trying to look for the moment you had arrived with felix. “I can’t find changbin.” you said into felix’s ear. “I’m sure he’s here somewhere.”
“felix and y/n! so glad you guys are here.” you heard a voice say from behind. it belonged to none other than jisung. “you guys look great.” he chuckled. “almost didn’t recognize you felix.” the said boy took his mask off, smiling.
“hi, sungie.” you grinned. from seeing him, you thought maybe he knew exactly where changbin was. “just a question, have you seen changbin around?”
“-and chan.” felix cut in.
“yes I have, they’re actually outside right now.” he answered. “I came in here to get them a drink. care for one as well, y/n?”
you nodded, following jisung right behind to the drink table. “I’m guessing you brought the potion?” felix whispered in your ear. you only nodded, grabbing two red cups and pouring a drink for you. “don’t sorry sung, I got changbin’s, you can get yourself and chan’s.” you smiled at him. “okay, sounds good.” jisung shrugged.
when jisung had his back turned to you, you quickly got the potion out of your pocket after pouring a drink for changbin. felix watched the whole thing, as well as keeping an eye out for you. “I seriously don’t think you should be doing this.”
“nonsense. it’s just a harmless potion.” you shrugged, opening up the little bottle. you poured almost half of it in there and that’s when felix’s eyes grew wide. “y/n!” he whispered-yelled. “you weren’t supposed to put that much.”
“oh yeah.” you said. “oh well, it’s a done deal.” you tried to remember exactly what the lady had told you before leaving the store, but in all honesty you couldn’t remember a thing from being too excited at the fact changbin was soon going to fall in love with you. “come on.” jisung said, and the two of you began to follow him outside, drinks in hand.
“we send you to get us drinks and come back with people.” changbin said. the two of you had made small eye contact with each other before you looked away. “hey hey, I still got the drinks though.”
“hi, changbin.” you smiled at him. “I got you your drink.” changbin gave you an odd look, lifting his brow as he accepted his cup. “I’m sorry, but do I know you from somewhere?”
you could hear felix let out a small laugh as you felt your stomach drop. “um, we have math class together.”
changbin stared at you. “really? guess I haven’t noticed. thanks for the drink.” he said simply before taking a sip of the cup. you felt yourself getting shaken up when he did so. staring at him as changbin gulped the drink down. felix watched too, wanting to see everything unfold.
you only hoped it worked and the lady didn’t scam you out of your money. after changbin was done with his drink, he didn’t seem any different. you almost sighed, thinking the love potion didn’t work until changbin looked at you. “y/n, right?” he said, smirking at you.
you stared back at changbin, feeling a smile creep up at you. “y-yes. that’s my name.” you looked over at felix, who lifted a brow. he was definitely intrigued to see if the potion had actually worked. and by the looks of it, it did.
“here, let’s get away from them so we can have some alone time.” changbin held his hand out for you to take. and that was when you began to feel your stomach tossing and turning. you mentally cheered, the potion really was working, changbin was finally taking an interest in you.
you held his hand and he dragged you back inside away from his friends and also felix. “the hell happened to him?” chan furrowed his eyebrows. “yeah, that really took a turn.”
felix crossed his arms, “I guess something came over him.”
you were having the time of your life now, instead of constantly being ignored by changbin or him never seeing your existence, he was now all over you. for the rest of the night, not once has he let go of you. and you were definitely liking the feeling. changbin stood by your side and every so often would kiss you on the side of your head. never would you had imagined being in this type of position with changbin. maybe you should of thought about the love potion sooner than later.
and now, the two of you stood by a corner away from everyone else. changbin had one hand on your waist and the other placed on the wall. you were cupping his face as the two of you were currently in a small make out session. you slightly giggled when changbin broke apart. “you’re great.” he said, pecking on your lips once more. “I don’t know what it is, but you’re making me crazy over you.”
“yeah?” you smiled. “mhm.” changbin reattached his lips to yours, kissing you with much more force. he even tightened his grip on you when he had slipped his tongue inside your mouth. yeah, you were definitely loving this.
so much, that you didn’t hear felix call out for you until he practically shouted your name. “y/n!” you flinched when hearing his deep voice ring in your ears. changbin had looked back at felix, slightly annoyed that he interrupted you two. “yes, felix?”
“I’m ready to go, so can we leave now?”
you slightly pouted, looking at changbin. but you could see felix wasn’t feeling the party no more. and since he was your driver for the night, you knew it was time to leave too. even if it meant ending your most amazing night with changbin. “okay.” you answered, slipping away from changbin but he held you back from your waist. “do you have to go so soon?”
you simply nodded. “yes, bin. but you’ll get to see me around school.” you reassured him. he smiled back, giving you one last kiss. which ended up lasting a little longer than you had thought. you were so into it that you forgot about felix being right behind you.
felix cleared his throat, making you break away from changbin. “right, sorry.” you chuckled. changbin had stayed back, watching as you walked away from him. everything was fine until something came over him when he noticed felix’s hand being placed on your lower back.
one month later
almost a month had passed by since you had made changbin drink the love potion. and since that day, changbin was with you almost every second. he would pick you up from your home to take you to school, message you every chance he got. when one of your classes was over, changbin was already outside the room waiting to walk you to your next class.
even in the class you two had together, changbin ended up moving seats to be closer to you. taking you home too was now a part of his job. it used to be felix’s.
he even wasted no time into making you his girlfriend.
but with the amount of time you did spend with changbin, you began to feel bad at the fact you barely saw felix now. only in the one shared class you had with him. but even then it didn’t make a difference since changbin did move seats.
felix didn’t mind it at first, he knew how much you liked changbin and was happy to finally have his attention. but now, he was beginning to get annoyed. more towards changbin that seemed to never be away from you for even a second.
and when felix did try talking you, changbin somehow managed to steal your attention away.
but for the first time now, felix had finally seen you alone walking out of your last class. to his surprise, there was no changbin in sight. “y/n!” you turned to face felix, smiling brightly at him. you really have been missing him lately. it made you feel bad that all you ever did was be with changbin. “oh, hey felix.”
he looked almost everywhere before getting closer to you. no signs of changbin. “no changbin?”
you snorted. “no, he actually had to stay back in class and finish an assignment.” you said. felix let out a sigh of relief, for once he’d have you for more than a second. “thank god, I feel like I don’t ever see you because of him.”
“I’m sorry.” you said. felix shook his head. “it’s okay, you’re finally with the guy of your dreams.” he teased. “but don’t you find it a little odd how much he wants to be around you?” it was the question that had been bothering felix for awhile now. it was like changbin never gave you a break. “not really.” you shrugged. “I mean, maybe it’s just a part of the love potion I gave him? I like this changbin though.” you smiled.
“yeah I know you do.” felix rolled his eyes. “I just- something doesn’t feel right.”
“nonsense felix.” you slightly bumped your shoulder with his. “tell you what. since I do miss you and we haven’t hung out in the longest. why don’t you come over and we grab some food and maybe watch a movie?” you said. “and don’t worry, there will be no changbin.”
felix smiled at the suggestion. “okay, yes!” he exclaimed. “we can definitely do that. so I’ll see you tonight then.” the two of you went in for a hug, lasting a little longer than usual. and right when you broke away that was when changbin had showed up in front of you.
he had witnessed the whole thing. and he felt something else kick in him, he didn’t like it. he didn’t like felix.
“bin!” you shouted when seeing him. changbin was quick to change moods after hearing your voice and instantly wrapped an arm around you, kissing your forehead. but he was already dragging you away from felix. “wait-“ “-let’s go.”
“bye lix!”
“see you later, y/n.” felix sighed when seeing you walk away. there changbin went again, taking you away.
when the words had left felix’s mouth, it made changbin’s ears perk up. how could he possibly see you later when you would be with him? “you’re seeing felix later?” he tightened his grip on you.
“yeah.” you nodded. “he’s coming over and we’re gonna watch a move and such.”
“oh, nice. what will we be watching?”
you let out a chuckle as you stopped walking to look at changbin. “actually, it’s only going to be me and felix. sorry, bin.”
changbin felt his chest tighten from hearing your words. there was no way he was going to allow you being alone with felix. “me and you are always together. so maybe this time I can hang out with felix. alone. he is my best friend after all.”
“but I’m all you need.” he whined. you chuckled at his behavior, kissing him on the cheek. “you’re cute but seriously changbin, just this one day I’ll be with felix.”
changbin walked you all the way home. and throughout the whole walk he tried to convince you letting him join you and felix for movie night. but you weren’t having it. you didn’t want felix feeling the third wheel and if you were honest you did kind of want to do other things that didn’t involve changbin being around you.
“changbin, no.” you said for the last time when arriving to your home. “go hang with chan and jisung, I’m sure you’ll have fun with them.”
“but they aren’t you.”
you sighed. “I know but they’re your friends.” you said. “you’ll be fine.” you tried to slightly push changbin out of your front door but he wasn’t moving. maybe felix was right, this was a little odd. but you brushed off thinking it could possibly be a small side effect from the love potion. if it had any. “goodbye changbin!” you said before shutting the door on him.
changbin stood there. how was he going to survive not being around you, especially you being alone with felix. he didn’t trust him. he would always tend to get close to you and changbin did not like that at all. which is why he always did his best to keep you away from him.
changbin wanted you all to himself. he thought it was a crazy idea, but he didn’t care. because tonight when felix would come over, so would he.
“this movie is kind of lame.” felix said, throwing a popcorn in his mouth. you threw another piece at him, laughing. “you literally picked it. so you should be blaming yourself.”
“you’re right but I won’t.”
it had been a awhile since felix had arrived. you two were enjoying the movie night together. it was perfect, minus the fact that changbin kept blowing up your phone when the first couple of minutes when felix arrived. you would reply back until you were a little annoyed by the continuing texts he kept sending. so you stopped replying. and also for the sake of wanting to pay attention to felix instead.
except changbin didn’t like that you stopped replying. as soon as he sent the tenth text he knew you were ignoring him. and that only meant felix was with you.
before changbin even realized it, he was at your house. but instead of knocking at your front door, he snuck inside your backyard to hide. luckily for him you had your blinds opened from your living and he could see you and felix sitting on the couch. felix was way too close to you for his liking.
he also didn’t like the fact you just let him get close to you like that. only changbin was allowed. he stayed there watching the two of you.
“I guess I’ll pick another one.”
“no? I get to pick now.” you were quick to snatch the remote, felix going in to snatch it away from you.
you didn’t let go so it ended up being a tug a war with felix on who was going to get the remote and choose the new movie. you were laughing hysterically and with one last tug, felix managed to pull you forward and falling on top of him.
both of you couldn’t control your laughter and it made you realize how much your time had been spent on changbin that it made you really miss your best friend. “felix let go!”
“no!”
the more changbin witnessed, the more furious he was getting. his hands became fists and he was clenching hard with each second that passed by. he wanted nothing more than to barge right in and rip you away from felix.
by the end of the night, changbin was still there. and felix was soon getting ready to head out of the door. it was torture for the boy, having to see you with someone else other than him. so he was glad felix was leaving now.
“see you tomorrow, lix!” you said before closing your door. you went over to your blinds in the living room and that was when changbin hurried away. you closed them then went straight to your room for the night.
changbin on the other hand, had other plans.
the following morning you went to school but this time without changbin. you don’t know if he was upset with you for ignoring last night but you definitely weren’t used to him not picking you up for the day.
you knew you’d see him eventually though in school. but before you saw him, the first person you saw was felix. he was almost at the entrance when you called out to him. “felix!”
from hearing his name, felix swiftly turned around. but when seeing it was you he quickly turned back around and began to walk faster. he had a cap on so you could barely see his face.
you were confused so you began to walk faster. “felix!” you continued to call his name but he kept ignoring each call you made. “felix!” now you began to jog. the boy ended up turning into a hallway and that was when you caught up to him. you ran until you had him by his arm. “yongbok!” he tried getting away from you. “why are you ignoring me?” you were confused on the sudden change, last night was good, what happened?c
felix kept looking everywhere, frighten as he did so. “you need to stay away from me.”
you furrowed your eyebrows. “what? why? felix you’re my best friend-“
“no!” you flinched at his outburst. and the was when you noticed something on his face. you reached for his hat, snatching it off of him when you noticed a black eye as well as some scratches. you looked at him horrified. “felix! what happened to you?!”
“don’t worry about it.” felix said. “worry about that boyfriend of yours.” now you were even more confused at him “what do you mean?” felix was about to answer you until seeing changbin walking down the hall towards you two. “nothing, just stay away from me!” he ran away from you, leaving you there confused even more.
“my y/n!” changbin said, hugging you from behind. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, bin.” your mind was somewhere else, even changbin noticed it too “something wrong, baby?” he turned you around, planting a small kiss on your forehead. “felix told me to stay away from him and I don’t get it. yesterday we were fine but now he suddenly switch up on me.” you said. “I don’t even know what I did wrong.”
“hm, seems odd really. maybe you should listen to him.” you lifted a brow as you stared at changbin. worry about that boyfriend of yours, replayed in your head. there was no way changbin had something to do with this, could he?
you began walking to your class, changbin right beside you as he swung an arm over your shoulder.
the whole day it was all you could think about. not once did you encounter felix. he didn’t even show up to the class you share with him and changbin. and when school was over, you went over to changbin’s for the afternoon. but even then your mind was still wondering about felix and that irritated changbin.
the two of you were in the middle of kissing when you had stopped for just a second. you had to ask changbin the question that has been bothering your head almost all day. “bin?”
“yeah?”
you bit on your bottom lip before questioning. “today felix had a black eye and when I asked him about it he told me not to worry about it but instead worry about you.” you looked at changbin and saw a blank face expression on him as you stared at you. “so my question is, did you have something to do with his black eye?”
the silence changbin gave you began to slowly freak you out then you were lost when he began to laugh uncontrollably. “you really think I had something to do with felix?”
“no, that’s why I’m asking-“
“oh sweetheart, such a pretty girl who can’t think right.” he chuckled. “no, I had nothing to do with him being hurt.”
“then why would he say to worry about you?”
“don’t know, and it shouldn’t matter anyways. you don’t need felix when you have me.”
you stared at changbin, furrowing your eyebrows. “but felix is my best friend-“
“best friend that wants to be with you.” changbin snapped. “what?!” you exclaimed. “no he doesn’t, where would you even get that idea from, bin?”
“last night when he was awfully close to you!” the words slipped before changbin even knew it, exposing himself to you. it took you a second to realize what changbin had said. “h-how do you know? you weren’t even there?”
changbin swung his head low not saying a word to you. “were you stalking us?!” you questioned, frustrated that he wasn’t speaking up now. “changbin answer me!”
still nothing. and that was when you put two and two together. he did hurt felix. right when he had left too. “oh my god, you did do it.” you were in shock. and that was when changbin had finally looked at you. he knew what you were implying to. “why would you do that?”
“because I don’t want him near you!” you flinched. “you’re mine. only mine.”
“no changbin. you don’t own me!” your words striked him. yes to him, he did own you the moment he laid eyes on you. no one, not even felix, was going to take you away from him. “you’re sick in the head, and we’re done!”
you got up quickly from changbin’s couch and made your way to the door. your harsh words caused changbin to jump up quickly to get to you. something had came over him once more after hearing you say you were done with him.
right when you were almost out the door, changbin grabbed you before shutting the door. he pushed you up against the door, hand reaching for your throat as he began to push pressure on it.
you felt your throat tightening up from changbin’s hand, having trouble to breathe. he brought his face closer to yours. you were scared, changbin could feel yourself shake. he could sense your fear, and he was enjoying every second. “let me go.” you managed to say, but that only made changbin put more pressure. you felt yourself getting light headed.
“listen to me, sweetheart because I’m only going to say this once.” he got close to your ear. “you belong to me now. we’re not over, we never will be. you hear me?”
when you didn’t say anything back, changbin grabbed you tighter by your throat. “I asked you a question, now answer me!”
“y-yes!” he let go of you, causing you to drop to the floor. you began coughing, trying to breathe normal again. “good girl.” you heard him say. you began crying, tears spilling down your face as you were scared for your life. all you wanted was to leave before changbin would end up doing something else to you.
changbin got eye level with you when hearing your cries. “no need to cry, sweetheart.” he said, grabbing your chin to lift her head up. he wiped away some tears, “I don’t ever want to hurt you, but when you disobey me, I might just have to.” he gripped on your face tighter to make you look at him. “got it?”
you quickly nodded your head, causing him to chuckle evilly. “good, and just know you’ll be with me forever, my love.”
he made your stomach churn, but not in a good way. you were regretting many things. one was listening to felix when not going forward with the love potion and two, listening to the older lady when telling you to only put a couple of drops.
a/n: here is part two of jaded, and hope you guys enjoy. still don’t know how many parts this will have so in the mean time I’m just going with the flow. feedback is greatly appreciated! - RR
if there was one thing you’d wish you could be doing right now, you’d wish you were in bed instead of hearing your psychology teacher’s voice, reading the information that was on the powerpoint. you looked down at your watch, seeing that you only had about a couple minutes left until your class was over. but the way your professor spoke slowly made time more dreadful for you.
sure, you could have just walked up and left. but not when you had a test coming up and needed to take notes from the information she was providing for the class. you just wished she would be more enthusiastic when lecturing instead of simply reading off what was on the board. then maybe you would have enjoyed the class a little bit more. but that was college for you.
letting a small yawn, minho had looked at you smirking. “y/n? yawning in class?” he whispered. “this isn’t like the little miss perfect I know.” minho teased. you glared are him, reaching over to pinch his arm. he slightly winced. “I’m tired of you hurting me.”
you said nothing, continuing to write your notes. minho on the other hand listened. he knew you’d always just end up sharing your notes with him. “alright and that is it, don’t forget about your upcoming test on friday.” your professor said, dismissing the class. you gathered up your belongings, zipping up your bag as minho waited for you. it was your last class of the day so you were quite ready to go home. “hey, come over.”
you looked up as you began to stand from your chair. “for what?”
“so we can study. and for you to let me copy your notes.” he grinned.
“just say you wanna have a study date with me, minho.” you smirked, patting his shoulder. there was nothing more that you loved than to mess with minho.
he gave you a disgusted look. “ew, no offense to you but you’re not my type, y/n.”
“offense taken.” you joked. “but anyways, I’ll come over. but you’re buying dinner. you know, since you owe me one.”
minho rolled his eyes at you as the two of you walked out of the campus and into the parking lot. “yeah, yeah. hand me your keys.”
you did as he said, handing over the keys of your car. that’s how it always was with you two. minho driving you around in your car. he knew your dislike in driving and he also did it because he always said how much of a bad driver you were. which you didn’t understand, minho drove more reckless than you did.
you remember when the both of you got your driver’s license at sixteen. it was quite funny that minho had passed on his first try when you had failed. he rubbed it in your face for as long as you could remember.
when you entered minho’s home, you had messaged your father about your whereabouts and that you would probably be home late. “where’s your mom?”
minho shrugged. “probably visiting my grandma or something. she didn’t mention anything to me.”
you plopped yourself right on minho’s couch, opening up your bag to take out your notes from psychology. minho sat on the floor in front of you as you passed your notebook to him. he began to write some things down until dropping his pen on his notebook. “and I’m bored.”
“lee minho, this is part of studying of course you’re bored but there’s nothing you can do.” you wacked him on his head. “continue the notes. or better yet. let me make you some flash cards.”
sometimes minho always needed the little extra push of motivation. you knew minho never wanted to continue after high school which is why he never cared for classes or tests. but with you, you made sure to help him out. minho was smart though. but he would rather be doing other things than school.
he thought it was a waste of time since he was only doing basic classes. but at least it was something and that’s what you told him. you did everything you could to help him out to not give up so easily.
“okay, well while you do that I’ll use the bathroom.” minho quickly ran off and just as he did so, the doorbell rang. “minho!”
“can you get it please!”
you groaned before standing up to answer whoever was at the door. only to be met with no other than chan himself. he raised his eyebrows when seeing you open the door. “didn’t expect to see the princess here.”
“you know I have a name.” You narrowed your eyes at him. “you can use it.”
chan only chuckled, ignoring you. “is minho here?”
“no.” “yes.”
you heard minho say from behind you. he got in front of you to greet chan and made him come inside. the two sat themselves on the couch while you went ahead and started on minho’s flash cards again. “what are you two up to?”
“studying.” you answered. which ended up being quite difficult to do. especially with minho and chan being awfully obnoxious. instead it was just you going over the flash cards that were suppose to be for minho. he didn’t pay any attention and if anything no studying was done with him.
you were a little irritated at the fact that the study date with minho was a complete fail. and this time you really had chan to blame. maybe minho too. “hey, why don’t we go out?” chan suggested. minho was quick to agree. “yeah! we should also grab a bite to eat. I promised y/n I would.”
“then lets go!” chan was quick to make his way to the door while minho waited for you to get up. “I’ll pass.” your words made Minho’s face drop. “minho I- we have a test that we should really be studying for.” you looked over at chan, him staring back at you. “but it seems like you don’t care, so I’ll just go home and study on my own.”
“oh, come on y/n!” minho exclaimed. “we still have a couple of days left until that test. we can always study tomorrow.”
you shook your head. “no, I know how you are. that’s not happening.” you grabbed your stuff ready to head out the door. you were passing chan and the two of you had locked eyes. “does the princess not know how to live a little?” he chuckled, which caused your blood to boil as soon as the words left chan’s mouth. “I do actually but not the way you do.” you snapped. clinging onto your backpack, you shoved his shoulder with his own. it made chan chuckle. “if you must go then I guess we can’t make you stay. I’m sure your daddy wouldn’t approve of this anyways.”
“leave my dad out of this.” you turned back to glare at him. minho could sense your change of attitude and went straight to your side. “okay, okay.” he said. “let’s just get something to eat and then you can go home.” minho had slightly pushed you out the door, chan following behind. “no-“
“you’re going.” minho cut in, taking your wrist and fully dragging you outside of his home. chan was following behind. you lifted a brow when noticing minho was walking past your car. “we’re not taking my car?”
“no, let’s walk instead.” minho insisted. which only caused you to want and drag him back. minho had already sensed how you were beginning to feel, so he tugged on you. “y/n, you have nothing to worry about.”
“thanks for the food.” chan said happily, patting his stomach. “next time it’s on me. you can come too princess.” he said, looking straight at you with a wink.
you frowned at him. “no thank you. I’ll pass.” the more time you spent with chan, made you dislike him a little bit more than before. and it all started with that night at the police station. but it definitely amused chan to mess with you.
minho only chuckled from seeing you frown. checking the time on your watch and seeing how dark it was outside now, you looked up at minho. “it’s getting late, I should go home now.” knowing you had school in the morning too.
“10pm is late for you?” chan snorted.
“yes when I have class in the morning.”
“or because daddy doesn’t want you out late.”
you rolled your eyes, scooting out of the booth that you sat in and began making your way out the restaurant with the two boys following behind. minho had caught up to you, swinging an arm around your shoulders. “I’m sorry.” he whispered in your ear. he knew you were upset the study date turned into a fail. you sighed, “it’s fine minho. but thanks for the food.” you were only in the mood to just go home and minho could sense that too.
except for chan. he had other plans when the three were passing by a closed park. he called out to minho and the boy instantly knew what chan was thinking. “let’s go here.” he said dragging you with him. you tried to stop him, but minho was too strong for your liking. “the gate has a lock, minho we can’t be here.”
“we won’t be here for long.” he told you.
“okay, well I’m not entering. plus how are you even going to go in?”
somehow while you were talking, chan had managed to pick on the lock on the gate and opened the door. “you were saying what now, princess?” he smirked.
the two had entered but you decided to stay back, shaking your head. “not happening. I’m leaving minho, with or without you.”
“y/n!” he called out to you when seeing you walk away. he rushed out the park and grabbed your wrist. “y/n, come back. you’re not going to be walking alone in these streets. especially at this time-“
“then let’s go! why are you doing this?” you said, motioning your hand in chan’s direction. “is someone scared?” chan joked. you only glared at him, not wanting to speak with chan at all. now, you could actually say you were quite annoyed with minho for the most part. you were going to say something to him but another voice had caught the three of you off guard.
“well what do we have here again?” the voice said, and who it belonged to came into view. the boy was smirking and he wasn’t alone either. having two others by his side. minho was quick to grab you and hid you behind him, while chan had gotten back to you two.
and by the looks of it, you could tell they already knew each other. “what do you want, changbin?” chan questioned, his tone now sharp. you gulped a little, trying to hide yourself as much as possible behind the two boys. you never been in such a situation before that you felt yourself getting nervous each second that passed.
feeling your heartbeat speed up, you clinged onto minho’s arm. he was one to never let anything bad happen to you and usually kept you away when it came to situations like the three of you were currently in. he knew how scared you would get and he definitely knew your father wouldn’t like the idea of his daughter getting into danger.
“you know what I want.” the boy, who you learned was named changbin, said to chan. he had an intimidating stare at said boy. “and I told you I’ll have it as soon as I can.”
“well that’s taking a little too long for my liking.” changbin tsked. “I’m sure you don’t want another repeat of the other night, now do you?”
you immediately knew what changbin was talking about. so these were the ones who attacked them, you thought. you swallowed hard when seeing the other three come closer. you didn’t know what exactly they were capable of. and whatever chan owed them, they sure seemed very serious about “minho.” you softly whispered while tugging on his arm a little tighter.
your stomach churned when changbin’s eyes had darted to you and he immediately smirked at you. “oh, looks like you have some company.”
“she’s cute.” he chuckled.
“hey, we don’t want any trouble.” minho said. “not in front of her.”
that made changbin laugh even more. “is she your girlfriend or what, lee minho?” of course minho telling him that only made changbin want to cause trouble. minho shook his head. changbin making eye contact with both guys on his side. they already knew what changbin was thinking and one came forward in chan’s direction, throwing in a punch at him. chan was quick to react and dodged him, punching him back.
“y/n, run.” minho pushed you away when the other boy came towards minho’s direction, ready to throw punches as well. but you stood there frozen, how were you just supposed to leave your best friend in that situation? you standing there distracted minho as he looked back at you and got punched in the face. “minho!” you cried, when seeing some blood beginning to drip out of his nose.
“y/n, fucking run!” he shouted at you when seeing changbin go to where you were standing. minho was frustrated at you to say the least. you saw changbin coming closer to you, and that’s when you finally made a run for it.
you felt awful leaving minho, even leaving chan to defend themselves. but there wasn’t much you could do. and you knew yourself there was no way you could actually help them with the two other guys. “don’t run, baby. we’re just getting to know each other!” his words made your skin crawl as you ran. you hid around some small bushes when you went out of sight from changbin, trying to calm yourself down and not make any noises when changbin had passed you without noticed where you sat on the ground.
your heart was beating way faster than before and all you wanted was for minho to pop up out of nowhere now. and you definitely wished you were home where you could be safe and sound.
thinking the close was clear and you could finally go back to minho and chan, you began crawling away as quietly as you could. you were still on edge with everything.
but right as you were crawling, a pair of shoes came right in front of you, making you stop your moments. looking up, your blood ran cold when seeing it was changbin looking down at you with an evil looking smile. “found you.”
you tried moving away from him as fast as you could, but you had no luck whatsoever. you were only a few feet away from him when changbin grabbed ahold of your hair and dragged you back down to the floor.
you ended up hitting your face against the sidewalk pretty hard, causing you to ache in pain. minho looked back at you once hearing your screams. “y/n!” he continued to throw punches towards the other guy, while chan looked back to see changbin’s hold on you. without a second thought, chan ended up throwing one last punch and knocking out the other guy cold.
he ran to your direction, “get away from her.” chan said, pushing changbin harshly away from you. he leaned down to see if you were okay, only to see tears coming down your face. “hey it’s okay now.”
chan didn’t know much to do, knowing minho knew how to calm you down. but he tried his best nonetheless. changbin was close to coming in again until hearing sirens come out. he quickly ran away along with the other guy who minho was still fighting with. he pushed minho one last time before running away. minho grunted but moved quickly to where you where you were with chan.
“move.” minho was quick to pick you up and began running with chan right behind. you peeked your head up to see an officer running out of his car, stopping right at the unconscious body on the ground and another one beginning to run towards the three of you.
your heart hadn’t stopped racing from the moment the situation broke out. all of it was scary and you didn’t understand how minho could live like this. if your father found out what just happened, you would have been in so much trouble. and minho knew your father wouldn’t forgive him for putting you in this situation.
chan ran up to an abandoned store, quickly opening the door for you and minho to go in. “hide down here.” he whispered, pointing at a counter. minho placed you down behind it, chan following too. he only poked his head up a little to see the officer run passed the store.
you let out a small cry and minho was quick to cover your mouth. “shhh, y/n. it’s okay.”
“no, lee minho. it’s not okay!” you said once he let go of you. but your outburst caused him to cover your mouth again. “don’t shout.”
he began to wipe your tears away and when he was doing so, he noticed the scratches that were on your forehead as well as on one side of your cheek. “shit.” he cursed under his breath. you being hurt was one of minho’s biggest fears. “please make sure dad doesn’t see this.” he said. the last thing he wanted was hearing your father yell at him.
you sighed. “take me home. now.” you looked over at chan, who was only staring back at you. “and let it be known this will be the last I ever hang out with you two. especially you.”
chan lifted a brow. “not even a thank you? for getting changbin away from you?” he scoffed. “if it wasn’t for me, those scratches wouldn’t be the only thing on your face.”
you stayed silent and minho could tell you were pissed. he grabbed on your hand, lifting you up with him. “this will never happen again.” he said. “I’ll make sure of it.”
your life was perfect yet simple until your life turns upside down when you meet bang chan also known as the friend of your best friend.
a/n: this is going to be my first ever fic and I’m kinda excited about it, hope you guys like it and of course feedback is always appreciated! - RR
“do you know when my father will be out?” you kindly asked the receptionist who was sitting behind a computer. it hadn’t even been five minutes when she had already told you that your father would be out shortly. but you were hungry, and you came to visit your father at his job during his lunch hour.
“I already told you he will be out soon.” she faked a smile. “he’s currently talking to two kids that were caught last night.”
you simply nodded before plopping yourself down in one of the waiting chairs. your father worked in the law enforcement and almost every time you visited him, he always had someone new that he caught. you’ve seen and heard it all every time you were in the place. everyday your father came home, he always had a new story to tell you.
but what you didn’t expect this time, is seeing your best friend walking out the door with your father. “now you see, lee minho, you should be thanking me for letting you off the hook easily.” you heard your father say to him. “next time I won’t be too nice, so I better not catch you again, you hear me?”
“no promises, officer.” minho laughed, causing your father to shake his head while letting out a frustrated sigh. “but thanks, I do appreciate it.”
“minho?” you questioned when walking up to them. that’s when you noticed minho wasn’t alone, and someone else was right behind him. you had locked eyes with the stranger for a few seconds before looking back at your friend. “oh, y/n!”
your father looked down at you as you stood next to him, swinging an arm around your shoulder. “sorry for being late, had to take care of these two.” he told you, pointing his head at minho and the guy who stood behind him. “what did you do this time?” you shook your head at your best friend. honestly, you were used to this already.
“trespassing.” your father answered for you. “being at the wrong place at the wrong time.”
you tsked at the boy. “oh minho.”
“it’s okay though!” minho exclaimed. “your dad let us off the hook.”
it was your father now who shook his head at the boy. “you ready to go?” he questioned you, in which you nodded. “minho, I don’t want to see you back here. and as for you bang chan.” your dad pointed at the boy behind minho, your eyes diverted back to him. “there’s no use of wasting my breath on you, you’ll be back before I know it.”
“have some little faith in me.” chan smirked. his eyes then locked back to yours, causing you to quickly look away. there was no denying he was attractive, and you even wondered when minho had even became friends with him. that was minho though, always making new friends.
“let’s go dad.” you smiled, already walking away from the three.
“can I join?”
“no.” you and your father said in sync to minho.
his face had dropped, making chan chuckle a bit from the interaction the three were having. your father had already caught up to you, leading the way out of the building.
but you looked back once more at your friend, only to see chan staring back at you. and for the third time that day, the two of you had locked eyes before chan gave you a smirk. you turned your head quickly around, feeling your face heat up in the process.
“you okay?” your father questioned when noticing your red face. you simply nodded, looking ahead. “mhm, never better.”
if you could pick your most favorite thing about minho, it was his ability to dance. of course you liked other things about him too, but dancing was a skill that minho definitely took seriously and was so good at it. seeing him dance made you forget the other side of minho that you’ve grown accustomed to.
you as well were a dancer too, but very different from minho. while he was more on the urban side, you did contemporary. you’ve done it since you were ten years old, even competing in dance competitions. which is exactly where you met the lee minho.
you two became friends at the time and practically grew up with each other. he was a good kid, very smart too. so growing up, you were confused when everything went wrong. from a good kid to a troubled kid, that was what happened right in front of your eyes. it was always him and his mother, he blamed it on the fact he never had a father figure growing up. his father had left the two when minho was at a such young age.
you thought it was just the people he began to hang out with in high school. joining the wrong crowd and going into a different pathway. but no matter what, minho still continued to be your friend. he always told you how much he needed you.
but not only did minho have you, he also had your father. he knew everything about minho and his situation growing up. your father took him as his own and made sure to look out for him.
even with the way minho acted now, your father still kept him sane. and when minho felt like giving up in school, your father was determined to make minho continue his studies, even after high school. of course your father couldn’t control everything minho did, like keeping him out of trouble, but he made sure to make him go to college. with you.
which is exactly where you and minho were currently located in, only classes were already over and the two of you were in the dancing room. when signing up for classes the two of you instantly chose dance, making it into the dance team. he was in the middle of teaching you one of his choreographies. “quit being stiff, think of it like your little ballet dances.”
you groaned. “for the last time, I don’t do ballet. it’s contemporary.”
minho gave you a look. “I don’t see the difference.” you were about to interject until minho stopped you. “but anyways! the stiffness, its gotta go.”
“okay, I’ll keep that in mind for next time.”
“next time?” minho furrowed his eyebrows. “we’re still not done here!” he exclaimed when seeing you grab your belongings.
you looked back at him, smirking. “I am. see you later, dude.” you opened the door from the dance studio, hearing it shut right behind before you heard it open again. a frantic minho ran right up next to you. “screw you, ms. perfect.”
you simply rolled your eyes at the nickname minho had tend to call you at random times. “you want to come over? my mother is making dinner.” the two of you had walked right out the school building, heading towards the parking lot. minho nicely declined your offer. “I’ll pass, made plans with chan.”
your eyes diverted to the figure who was standing next to a car and sure enough it was minho’s friend who you first saw at the police station. you still wondered when the hell minho became friends with him. “oh, well- I guess I’ll see you tomorrow. don’t forget my dance recital is tomorrow too.”
“a possibility that you might.” he chuckled. “or might not.” minho let out a louder laugh when seeing your face drop. you knew exactly what he meant about that. “lee minho, I don’t know what the hell you’re going to be up to but please stay out of trouble. plus I really want you at my dance recital. I’ve practice so hard for this.”
“sure, princess.” he patted your head. “and don’t worry, I’ll promise to be there.”
you sighed when seeing minho walk away from you and headed towards chan. they did a small handshake before minho went into the passenger seat, which you assumed to be chan’s car all while chan slowly got in the driver’s seat. but as he did so, he was staring at you. and for some reason you couldn’t look away that time. just like last time, he smirked at you again, causing your cheeks to heat up from his gesture.
you didn’t know what it was, maybe just the aura that chan gave from the small encounters you’ve had with him so far, but you were a bit intrigued by him. you shook your head at the silly thought, no. if he was the cause of why minho got himself into problems then you should probably have a dislike towards him. sometimes you wish you could change minho back to the person he was before, but that seemed to be difficult after the many tries you had. either way, you loved minho. he was like the perfect brother you wish you had. being the only child got lonely at times. but minho definitely made up for it.
you watched as the two sped off out of the parking lot, leaving you to walk to your car alone. you actually hated that minho wasn’t with you at the moment. he was usually the one driving you around in your car. how funny. you just hated driving.
the next day
your eyes began wandering around in the crowd of the auditorium, looking for the one person who promised you would be at your dance recital. you stood next to the stage, peaking out to look for minho as you were minutes away from performing. you were next after lisa, but instead of watching her perform, you were looking for minho. even sending him texts to know about his whereabouts. the only people you did see was your parents.
you sighed, looking down at your phone to see if minho had replied. but no luck. if anything, you haven’t heard from said boy since yesterday when he got in the car with chan. he wasn’t even in classes, so you didn’t know where he could possibly be.
lisa’s performance had finally came to an end when you hurried your way back to take one last glance at yourself. patting on your skirt, you mentally prepared for your performance. you had practiced your dance for months now and you were definitely thrilled to show it.
“good luck out there!” lisa smiled as you began to make your way on stage. it was dark when you stood in the middle of it, taking a deep breath before the music had started.
you loved performing, better yet, you loved dancing. looking back, you remember your father not being on board with you wanting to start dancing. he always thought it was just a hobby you’d grow out of. but when seeing how dedicated you were when it came to performing on stage, he grew to the idea of letting you prosper into something you definitely enjoyed in doing. at the end of the day, he always wanted you to follow your dreams.
was dancing apart of your dreams though? of course. but you always needed a backup plan. which was why you were majoring in education. teaching was something you’ve always liked doing. like the times you had to tutor people when you were in high school or even now teaching people choreographies when the dance instructor gave you lead at times. having that spot was something you were just amused by.
before you knew it, you were already at your ending pose. cheering and clapping being heard from the audience. you slightly chuckled when eyeing your father in the far back, standing as he clapped uncontrollably. you bowed before walking to the side, exiting the stage. but although you should have been happy that you performed, your mood had went down when realizing minho had missed your recital after promising you he would be there. you tried to find him in the audience when you had finished but again, there were no signs of him.
what the hell could he have possibly been up to?
that night you went home upset with the boy. you were always there for his past dance recitals but yet he had missed yours. and if minho ditched you for chan, then you’d be even more upset.
it was getting close to midnight when you heard your phone ringing from an unknown number. usually you’d ignore, but something had told you to answer, and so you did. only to hear the voice of minho, which caused your stomach to drop. “minho?”
“princess!” he shouted. “so glad you answered, I thought you weren’t going to, anyways-“
“minho where the hell have you been?” minho could tell you were angry from the sound of your voice. “can you come get us? at the police station, the one where dad works at.”
“minho, it’s nearly midnight.”
“please, y/n!” minho begged. “and bring dad too.”
you hated doing this, but you ended the call with telling minho you’d be there in a few minutes. you felt bad waking up your father and telling him about minho. but he didn’t hesitate in getting out of bed to go with you. after all, he did care for minho like his own.
“officer, same ones from last time-“ your father waved off his coworker, already knowing who they were. you followed right behind, entering the main lobby to see both minho and chan sitting together, handcuffed. and by the looks of it, they also had some injuries on their faces. “oh thank god, you made it!” minho chuckled, his face turning serious when seeing yours and your father’s annoyed faces. “I’ll talk to you first.” your father said, pointing at minho for him to go to one of the rooms. “I think it’s time I give you a serious talk.”
minho followed, leaving you alone with his friend. you simply stood there to wait for the two to finish. your back facing chan. “how about you tell your father to uncuff me and set me free, princess.”
your eyes grew a little when hearing chan’s voice. you slowly turned around, seeing chan smirking right at you. that damn smirk. you wanted to ask the most stupidest question if he was talking to you, but it was quite obvious that chan was. you slightly narrowed your eyes at him. “you think just because my father works here I can just ask him to set you free?” you questioned. “doesn’t work that way.”
“works with minho.”
his response left you a little taken back, shaking your head. “that’s minho. we know him.”
“you can get to know me too, princess.” he winked. “just how I’d like to get to know you-“
“-were you the reason minho missed my dance recital?” at this point, you were annoyed. taking back everything you thought about chan. you liked him better when he didn’t open his mouth. he sat back in his seat. “no I wasn’t actually.” he answered.
“then do you know why he didn’t show up?”
“yes I do, we were actually on our way to your dance recital. until some people jumped us.”
you let out a gasp. “what? why?” you said concerning.
“relax.” chan shrugged his shoulders. “just know a lot of people don’t like me.” he smirked.
“that doesn’t answer anything though.” you crossed your arms. chan only stared back at you, smirking as he did so. he sat back in his seat, “you’re pretty cute.”
you quickly looked away from chan, feeling your face heat up once again because of him. “how did you and minho meet?” you then asked, the question was one you were quite curious about.
“don’t worry about it.” chan said. he noticed the way your face had changed to annoyed. “you get worked up easily I can see. don’t worry, I’m not trying to take your friend away if that’s what you’re thinking.”
“definitely not worried about that.” you scoffed. “but I mean, minho wouldn’t have gotten attacked if he wasn’t with you.”
“are you implying this was my fault, princess?”
“no, but I’m just saying.”
now it was chan’s turn to scoff. “you don’t even know me.” he arched a brow.
“no, but I know of your kind.”
chan let out a fake laugh, he was quite amused by you. “you do? enlighten me-“
the boy was cut short when hearing your father and minho walk out the room they had been in. minho didn’t have handcuffs on him anymore and your dad faced you and chan. he only pointed at him and chan knew it was his turn to talk to your father.
“were you talking to chan?” minho questioned as soon as the door shut. you simply nodded your head as minho let out a small snort. “about what?”
“doesn’t matter. I’m actually quite upset with you.”
“listen I’m sorry! I was going-“
“save it.” you sighed. “I already know what happened.”
minho felt guilty, especially seeing your upset face. you also tried to not be too upset, knowing it wasn’t his fault either. now that you thought about it, maybe you shouldn’t have said what you said to chan either, who was he to know he was going to get attacked. maybe you shouldn’t have judged him right away.
“I’ll promise to make it up to you.”
“you suck at promises.” you shook your head. “but you do owe me one, especially for this.”
“yes, princess.”
“and will you stop calling me that?” you rolled your eyes, moving away from him. minho let out a loud laugh, throwing his head back then stared right at you. “no, because that’s all you ever know how to act. always uptight, and living accordingly like your dad wants you to.”
your mouth dropped, not thinking of your actions when you punched minho, full force on him arm. “don’t ever say that to me.”
“you’re mad because I’m right.” he groaned, holding onto his arm.
you said nothing more to him, only looking forward as you walked away. and as you did so, only minho’s words kept replaying in your head. you never saw yourself like that but if it was coming from your best friend then maybe he was right?
what will happen after jisung comes back home and you see him for the first time in a long time? have things changed? and do you still have those feelings you had for him?

A/N: here is part two of letting go! hope you guys enjoyed the first part as well as part two. thank you for reading my first post and for following. more content to come. please feel free to leave some feedback, it’s very appreciated! - RR
you jolted up when feeling yourself get shaken in your sleep. turning your head to your roommate, you felt a sigh of relief when seeing it was just yeji. “jesus, why did you do that?”
“you told me to wake you up in an hour.” she replied with a smirk. “don’t wanna be late to the party.”
ah, yes, the party. you instantly smiled at the thought of it. the pool party that jisung’s parents were throwing for him and his group members. they were here for their tour, and the thought of seeing jisung again after a few years had you mentally jumping in the air. you were ready to see him again.
“you sure you don’t want to go?” you questioned yeji once more, but knowing the answer already.
the girl shook her head. “nah, I have to meet up with my parents anyways. you have fun though.” she smiled. “and say hi to your parents for me if you see them.”
“will do.” you gave her a thumbs up when entering your car and quickly driving away.
a few months after you had graduated high school, you were quick to move out. you had realized being at home reminded you too much of jisung, knowing he wasn’t next door to you anymore. so you, and of course asking yeji, a friend you also had in high school besides jisung, had moved into a little apartment in the city. it was great though, having the college you and yeji attended to close by.
yeji knew everything. from when jisung had moved and yoy telling her about the feelings you had for him and the reason why you so desperately needed to move. and she was there to help.
but now here you were, heading back to jisung’s old house to see him again. you were filled with very different emotions but nonetheless you were happy. happy to finally being able to see him again in person. facetime just wasn’t enough for the both of you.
you were glad things were still the same, you two had never stopped talking even after jisung had became a trainee then had the chance to debut. he kept you updated every chance he got and always loved hearing about your updates as well. the only thing that did change though, your feelings. sometimes they were there and sometimes they weren’t. it was just a whole mixed up world for you.
you told yourself that nothing was going to happen between the two of you. you were busy with college and jisung was now a well known kpop idol. you even told yourself that it just wouldn’t work out, you loved jisung as a best friend. you told yourself that almost everyday since he had moved. and it worked, sometimes.
you tried dating, to keep your thoughts away from jisung but even when getting into one successful relationship, the back of your head only thought of jisung. it was always him. so you had to break things off with your significant other at the time. you hated this. and you only hoped you could keep the gaurd you’ve been holding up when finally seeing jisung again.
finally pulling up to jisung’s house, you took a deep breath when smiling at the second house that always felt like home to you. even after jisung had left, you still visited his parents from time to time. there was no doubt they saw you as their daughter.
walking up to the house, you could already hear the music blasting from the backyard. your heart was thumping real fast the closer you got to the fence gate, feeling as if it was ready to burst out. you opened it slowly, and walked until many people came into view. people in which you knew where his group members.
his mother was the first to notice you, jisung having his back facing you. she quietly walked up to you end engulfed you in a hug. “he’s been waiting for you and hasn’t stopped talking about you since he’s gotten here.” she softly chuckled. when you broke apart, jisung had turned around, almost dropping his plate of food when seeing you.
“y/n!” he rushed to you as fast as he could, picking you up to swing you around. “oh my god, y/n!” when he had put you down, he was now cupping your face. you wanted to cry, the moment feeling so surreal in finally seeing your best friend again. he’s definitely changed a lot from the last time you’ve seen him. and you’d be lying to yourself if you didn’t say he looked good. you could feel your eyes getting watery and jisung noticed it right away.
“hey, don’t cry.” he wiped a tear away.
“I’ve just missed you, jisungie.” you hugged him. “so much.”
he wrapped his arms around you. “you tell me, I’ve missed you everyday when I was over there.” he hugged you a little tighter. “you hungry? come eat. and I want you to finally meet my members.” jisung still had his arm draped around you when he lead you to the back porch. “everyone, this is my best friend, y/n.”
“and y/n, these are my members.” he smiled.
“it’s so nice to finally meet you all.” you waved.
“and it’s about time we meet you.” a deep voice said who you already knew was felix. “jisung can’t ever stop talking about you and mentions you every chance he gets.”
you let out a small laugh, turning to look at jisung. the boy had his head low while grinning. and one thing you noticed was the way his face had turned red.
two more boys came up to you who you knew as chan and changbin. these were the first two members jisung had introduced you to when he was a trainee. he had told you he did music with them and every time they did a song, jisung was quick to send you it for you to hear.
they both gave you a hug, chan hugging you a little longer than changbin. the first time you had ever talked to chan the two of you just clicked. you even considered him a good friend that you had made but never met.
—
“oh! I want you to meet my friends.” jisung said through video call. “these are the two I have been talking to you about, chan and changbin.”
jisung turned the phone to his two friends who were in the studio with him. they were in the middle of recording a new song. “hello, nice to meet you.” you heard changbin say.
“I’m bang chan, or chris, whatever you wanna call me.” chan chuckled. “jisung always talks about you. so it’s nice to finally see who this y/n person is.”
“well that’s me.” you chuckled.
you had stayed on the video call with jisung the whole session they were in the studio. but the person you ended up talking to the most was chan. jisung was too busy recording his lines while chan was the one helping him. “ah, y/n. you seem like a very cool person.” chan told you. “I hope one day we get the chance to meet in person.” he smiled and you could see his dimples on full display. cute, you thought. jisung definitely had some very attractive friends.
“oh me too! a friend of jisung is a friend of mine!”
“yeah, yeah.” jisung took the phone away from chan. “don’t go on stealing my friends now. plus you can only have me as a friend.” he pouted.
“bro, you can share.”
you chuckled at chan and jisung going back and forth with each other. no wonder jisung loved these guys. you even enjoyed seeing jisung having fun. you could tell he was meant to be in a music career. and you were going to support him every step of the way.
—
“how are you liking it here so far?” you asked chan. the two of you sitting by the edge of the pool. jisung was with the others, he wasn’t giving you much attention which was okay with you. he just wanted to have fun with his members being at his house. and so chan was the one you were mostly talking to the whole afternoon.
“oh it’s great!” he exclaimed. “jisung’s parents are really nice. and of course you’re nice too. you coming to our show tomorrow?”
“um, of course.” you giggled. “I wouldn’t wanna miss seeing you guys perform.” you slightly shoved your shoulder against chan’s, causing him to laugh.
“just wish I could explore the city here, I don’t think we’ll have much time tomorrow since we will be practicing.”
you looked up at the sky to see the sun was setting and that’s when an idea had popped into your head. you and chan really weren’t doing much either way, and you knew this would be the perfect time to show chan around. “I can show you around right now if you’d like?”
chan turned to you. “really? you wouldn’t mind?”
“of course not.” you grinned. “let me show you where jisung and I grew up.”
chan liked your idea, and was up for it. “sure thing. let me just get changed.” he stood up to head inside, you following after to change as well.
walking right back out, you headed towards jisung. “hey, I’m gonna take chan out to show him around. cool with you?” you questioned with chan standing right behind you.
jisung’s eyes went from you to chan then back to you. “just you two? alone?”
“I mean, well yeah.” you slightly chuckled.
“can’t you guys wait until tomorrow? so we can all go?”
“we won’t have time.” chan interfered. “we have rehearsals and our show.”
you noticed the way jisung’s eyes had shifted from you to chan in seconds. and for once in your lifetime you couldn’t read jisung. but you definitely felt his presence change, and you were clueless as to why. “um, well okay. I guess you two have fun. how long until you’re back?”
even jisung himself felt a bit odd that he suddenly felt this way. he guessed he just didn’t like the idea of you two getting closer after him being the one to introduce you both. or maybe it was something else.
“shouldn’t take long, maybe.” you said quickly as you were already dragging chan away. “enjoy the rest of your night!” you had screamed when closing the gate.
you and chan got in your car and drove off. “well firstly, this is where I used to live.” you pointed out your parent’s house. “jisung and I were neighbors.”
“and further down here is a park we always used to go to.” you briefly smiled at it, seeing the swings from afar. it’s been awhile since you’ve last visited the park. the last time being was when jisung told you the news of him passing his audition. you slightly chuckled when the memory of him ripping up the essay you did for him came to mind. you were pissed then happy but then sad knowing he was moving. “what are you laughing at?” chan questioned.
“nothing really, just that I remember jisung had made me do his essay in return of him doing my math work. only for him to tear it up.”
“what?!”
“yeah, crazy times.” you sighed. “and that’s when he told me he was moving.”
“you know, when I became friends with jisung, you were the one person he would always talk about.” chan chuckled. “even until now, he still does it. we might even think he has some type of crush on you.”
you felt your eyes slowly widen at chan’s words, almost nervously laughing to brush them off. no, you knew jisung too well. he couldn’t have a crush on you. right?
wanting to change the subject, you continued to drive chan around to show him the city. pointing out your old high school, then the college you were attending. you even showed him a few restaurants he should try for the next time they were back.
chan was definitely a great guy to hang with, he had you laughing, smiling and honestly you liked the friendship you two had started. of course he was no jisung, but it was nice to have your friend circle expand.
now here the two of you were, inside a small pub that was local. you and yeji would always go here almost every friday, a celebration for surviving the week. or for passing finals. you had told chan about it, and instead of heading back to the pool party, he decided to check the place out. it was already night time and the moon now shining through the sky.
“okay, shots on me.” you ordered two of them, the bartender already knowing your go to tequila drink when you would come here with yeji. he sat them in front of you and you passed one to chan. “here’s to having you guys here and for your show tomorrow night.” you raised your shot.
“and here’s to you, and your great hospitality, y/n.” chan smiled.
you and chan gulped down your drink. chan had made a small face which caused you to laugh. he seemed to be impressed the drink didn’t phase you at all. “I’m used to it.” you shrugged.
it was around midnight when you and chan were still at the pub, a few more drinks in. you had stopped awhile ago, knowing you were the driver. but chan definitely seemed to have been enjoying himself. he had even grabbed you to dance, having the time of his life. “I’m having so much fun.” he giggled. his cheeks flustered.
while he was in the middle of taking another drink, you felt your phone vibrate. you saw a couple of messages coming in from jisung.
jisungie: hey where are you two? I thought you guys were coming back.
jisungie: it’s pretty late, what are you guys doing?
jisungie: y/n? hello?
you: sorry! we were planning on coming back but instead we went to a bar and just lost track of time.
you placed your phone in your pocket and after seeing the time you knew it was time to go. you didn’t want to keep chan up knowing he had a show tomorrow. and you knew jisung wouldn’t have appreciated you being the cause of chan’s hangover. chan was stumbling a bit when walking out the bar, so you helped him back in your car. he wasn’t too drunk, more like tipsy but still you felt the need to help him out. you laughed when he kept giggling at you. “you’re so nice, y/n.” he slurred a little. “I can see why jisung talks about you a lot.”
you felt your cheeks flush red. how much did jisung talk about you with them? was this an everyday thing?
shaking your head when closing the door, you reached for your phone again. you were going to tell jisung that chan was going to stay at your place for the night since it was super late now and your apartment was closer than jisung’s home.
you: change of plans, I’m letting chan stay at my place since it’s super late. see you tomorrow.
jisungie: you don’t need to do that, I can go pick him up right now. tell me where your new place is at.
you: jisung, it’s fine, don’t worry!
jisungie: he’s just spending the night right? like on the couch or something?
your eyebrows furrowed at jisung’s text, you were definitely getting a different vibe from him at the moment. honestly, jisung’s arrival back home felt odd overall for you but you couldn’t put a finger as to why.
you: yes? and no.
jisungie: no? well where is he going to sleep?
you: does it matter?
jisungie: no, but
you: but what jisung?
jisungie: have a good night, I’ll see you tomorrow.
now you were really confused as you stared down at your phone from jisung’s response. you sat silently in the driver’s seat as chan had already been knocked out and snoring. what exactly did jisung mean? for once your best friend was confusing the hell out of you. he’s never questioned you this much before. and it was definitely weird for you.
you sighed as you started your car, driving away to head to your apartment. your thoughts seemed to continue going back to jisung and it was hard not to think about him after messaging with him. something was definitely up with him, and you were going to find out.
the next day
“morning.” you heard chan say. he sat on one of the stools, resting his head on his hands. you had started cooking some breakfast for him, consisting of only eggs and bacon. you turned to look at him, seeing that he looked perfectly fine and not hungover. “morning to you.” you smiled at him. “hungover?”
“no, actually.” he shook his head. “I feel quite fine if I’m being honest.”
“that’s good. here, eat up before we go back to jisung’s.” you placed a plate of food in front of him, chan wasting no time in devouring it. all while you went and cleaned some dishes that yeji left out.
“thanks again for letting me crash in your bed, you didn’t have to do that. as well for breakfast.” chan said. “you’ve been really great, y/n. as to showing me around as well.”
“no need to thank me.” you softly smiled at him. “It’s just how I was raised.”
which was true, your parents had done a great job in raising you and alway showing you to be kind to others. they’ve taught you that since you were five and you first experienced it when meeting jisung’s parents the day they moved into the neighborhood.
yeji had came into view but soon came to a halt when noticing chan. “oh, hello?”
“oh, hey there! I’m chan, you must be yeji?”
“that’s me.” the girl slightly stuttered. and from the looks of it, she definitely looked flustered which caused you to chuckle a little. yeji had walked behind him, staring at you as she mouthed, “he’s cute.”
you shook your head, grinning. “ready to go chan?” she questioned with the boy nodding after. “it was nice meeting you, will you be attending our show tonight?”
yeji nodded. “yes! I’ll be there! I’ll be joining y/n.”
“great, then I’ll see you tonight.”
“yes, you will.” yeji smiled.
after leaving your place, you had arrived at jisung’s in no time. you smiled when you opened the door to see him on the couch, chatting away with his members. he was smiling but soon it faltered when seeing you and chan right behind. “hi, guys.” you waved. but still nothing from jisung which again, you found odd. yesterday he was excited to see you but now it’s like he’s just completely ignoring you. did you do something wrong?
you sat next to him and he still didn’t even acknowledge your existence. “did you guys have fun?” jeongin questioned.
you and chan gave each other a look before smiling. “we sure did.” you replied. you didn’t notice, but jisung felt himself getting stiff. “y/n, makes a great tourist.”
jisung couldn’t help himself but to jolt up from his seat and head to the kitchen. you looked at him while furrowing your brows, following him right after. “is everything you okay?” you softly questioned when approaching the boy. and silence was all you got.
“jisungie?” you touched his arm which caused him to slightly flinch. “yes, I’m fine.”
he was lying. you knew he was when he avoided eye contact. he didn’t even dare look at you right now.
“oh so you’re acting like you know me now?” he suddenly snapped. you were really taken back by his sudden change in attitude, causing you to slightly gasp. even his member became quiet after hearing the way jisung talked to you.
“he’s been like that since last night.” hyunjin told chan.
“I don’t know where you’re coming from or as to why you’re even talking to me like that, but yes jisung, I do know you. we’ve been best friends for-“
“people change, y/n.” jisung interrupted. “you haven’t seen me in the past few years, I’m not who I was before I left.” jisung definitely felt bad for the way he was talking to you. especially when seeing your face and how hurt you looked. he was just upset. but he had no right to be upset. he even didn’t have a right to put it out on you.
“why are you acting like this to me? did I do something wrong? please tell me if I did so we can fix-“
“just drop it, y/n.”
you felt your throat closing up and tears threatening to fall as you stared at jisung in disbelief. maybe things did change between the two of you after all. jisung looked back at you and instantly regret every word he had said to you. he was always the one to make you happy when you were upset and now here he was being the cause of you being upset with him. “fine.” you choked up, leaving the kitchen and walking straight out the front door.
jisung let out a deep breath, he felt horrible. he knew he had to fix it before leaving again.
“babe, you ready?” yeji called out from outside your door. you had just finished on your hair when she had called for you. quickly putting on your shoes, you walk out ready to go.
despite jisung being an asshole to you, you were still going to attend their concert. because even then, you wanted to fix things with him. there was no way you were just going to let this happen. when you had got home earlier, you cried to yeji so she knew what was going on.
at first you didn’t even want to go but she had convinced you and to fix things with jisung.
so here you two were, arriving at the venue in search for a parking spot.
“wow, how exciting!” yeji exclaimed when sitting on her seat. you guys had sat on the side of the stage, getting a good view from the top. you were thankful jisung had gave you some tickets.
throughout the show, your eyes seemed to only focus on jisung. seeing him on stage was like a whole different person you were watching. he was great at what he did, he was truly the performer. it was great to finally see it live rather than through a phone. jisung looked happy on stage and you knew that’s where he belonged.
while minho was in the middle of giving his last few words before the show would end, jisung’s eyes were diverting everywhere. it’s like he was looking for something, or better yet, someone. and they finally stopped searching once he spotted you.
jisung didn’t know if you’d actually come or not, especially after he had lashed out on you for no reason. he still felt absolutely terrible for the way he acted towards you. but seeing you there in the audience did something to him. he couldn’t help but smile up at you.
you had locked eyes with jisung and when seeing him grin at you, you returned the gesture of smiling back just a little. you were still upset with him, but you knew you could never be mad at him for long. hell, you DONT even remember the last time you and jisung had argued.
“we hope to be back!” chan said one last time before exiting the stage.
the end of the concert had arrived and you gave them props for putting on such a great show. you enjoyed watching them live but yeji had sure seemed to like it even more. “that was so amazing! oh my god, did you see when he lifted up his shirt?” she squealed when exiting the venue. “wow, y/n. this was such a good night.”
you chuckled at yeji, her being on full adrenaline at the moment. you were glad she had enjoyed the show. you did too of course, you just wished you could’ve seen jisung before leaving. and speaking of him, your phone rang that you got a new text and it was from the one and only.
jisungie: hey, thanks for coming, I really appreciate it. you should stop by my house for dinner. only if you’d like.
you went against into texting him back and decided to just go without warning. and you were going to drag yeji along. “come on, we’re going to jisung’s place.”
“oh great! I can see chan!”
you jokingly rolled your eyes, getting in your car and driving off to jisung’s house. when you got there, you saw he was already there. you don’t know why, but suddenly you became nervous into seeing him. feeling your heart began to race when opening the car door, yeji had came to your side when seeing you not so good. “hey, it’ll be okay. you two can take this opportunity to fix things.”
yeji was right, you wanted to fix things with jisung before he left again. tomorrow would be the last day you see him until you don’t know even when. and you don’t think you’d be able to live not talking to jisung while he’s away.
“y/n, you’re here! and hello to you too.” chan greeted when seeing you two step inside the house. yeji was already grinning brightly when seeing chan. “hi.” she said shyly. “the concert was great!”
you blocked out their conversation as you stepped further into the house. you saw everyone but jisung when they had all greeted you. “where’s jisung?” you asked.
“he’s out in the back.” felix answered for you. “I think you should go talk to him. he hasn’t been himself since this morning.”
you nodded your head, slowly walking to the back door. but to your surprise, jisung was nowhere in sight. you looked around and still nothing. you walked further into the backyard to see any signs of him, but not a single soul you found.
that was until your mind thought of one place jisung could possibly be in and when you looked up to one of the trees, sure enough you saw a light inside your’s and jisung’s old treehouse. you don’t even remember the last time you had set foot in it. probably back in high school if you last recall. you weren’t even sure if it was still sturdy enough. it was pretty dark, so you had to wing it when going up the latter. if you fall, you’d hope jisung was to hear it.
you made it up, pushing up the door. jisung was startled at first but relaxed when seeing you. “jisung.” you huffed. he quickly came to help you in, and the two of you sat on the beanbags you had in there. “I’m surprised this thing is still sturdy.” you lightly laughed.
“can’t believe this thing is still here.”
“oh, your dad and mine tried to take it down but I convinced them not to.” you said.
“well I’m glad you did. this old place holds a lot of our memories.” he grabbed a hold of an old photo, as in the first picture and and jisung ever took with each other. “you didn’t take this?”
“I did, to make a copy. the original belongs in here.” you smiled.
“oh, y/n.”
after saying your name, silence had filled between the two of you. for once in your life you were at lost for words and didn’t know what to say to jisung.
and as for jisung, he was trying to collect his thoughts on what exactly to say. he knew they had to talk about what happened earlier. so for starters, he knew exactly what to tell you first. “I’m sorry.” he said. “for the way I lashed out on you this morning.”
“may I ask why you were upset?”
jisung thought for a second. he knew why, oh he definitely knew why. but for jisung it was always hard to tell how he truly felt. you knew this, jisung always had a thing for keeping everything inside. it bothered you sometimes, which is why growing up you always tried to make jisung talk. everyone always knew him as the shy and quiet boy, but with you he was himself.
“I just- I guess I got upset when you and chan left yesterday.”
“oh? and why’s that?” you questioned.
“because.” he paused for a second, debating real hard for what he was going to say next. he turned to look at you and felt his heart trying to jump out of his chest. it almost angered him how you were looking at him with soft, hopeful eyes, you made him feel things. and for once he wanted to express them. “because damnit, y/n, I like you.”
you felt your stomach drop, mouth opening a bit from jisung’s sudden confession. did he really just say what you thought he said? it wasn’t some sort of dream?
“I like you, okay? I wasn’t too happy about you and chan leaving to hang out yesterday and then him staying at your place. it made me think something was going on between the two of you. I saw how you two became so close after I introduce you guys and well yeah, I was jealous.”
he looked at you again, you were silent as you were still trying to process everything jisung has said to you. jisung was always the silent one and now it was you who didn’t know what to say next. he left you lost for words. but you couldn’t seem to ignore the fact that jisung liked you back. “jisung you have nothing to worry about, chan and I are just friends.”
“yeah, well, I’m your best friend.”
you chuckled a little. “yes, you are. and I don’t think I’ll ever see myself with anyone else as my best friend than you.”
“come here.” jisung grabbed ahold of your hand, helping you out of the bean bag and then to get on top, straddling him. “how long have you liked me?” you questioned.
jisung let out a sigh as he pushed a piece of hair stand behind your ear. “since the day we shared our first kiss right in this treehouse.”
your eyes widen. all this time jisung had liked you back while you thought the opposite. “you’re kidding, right?”
“mm, nope. its been that long. I just never said anything because well, I thought you didn’t feel the same. and our friendship was just too good to ruin.” he said. “and I was planning on it but then I got the call…”
“damnit, jisung, we’re idiots.” you breathed out a laugh. “I’ve liked you all this time too, just never said anything. and then you moved.”
“then lets stop wasting our time and make this right.” jisung held on your chin as he eyed your lips then looked back at you. you felt your heart racing a thousand miles at the way jisung was looking at you. everything about this seemed so right. “and share another kiss in this treehouse.”
the two of you pressed your lips against each other, moving in perfect sync. it was a balance between soft and passionate, and unlike last time when you two were thriteen, this kiss was ten times better and lasted way longer. kissing jisung again is exactly what you had craved for. no matter what, it’s always going to be him.
jisung is and will always be your everything, and you were sure that this time you weren’t letting go of him.

in which your childhood best friend, jisung, has to move after passing his audition. what will you do about the feelings you have for him?
A/N: this is my first ever writing/fic that I am doing and I’m so excited for it. and I hope you guys enjoy reading it! feedback would be very much appreciated. I do plan on making a part 2 depending on how this goes! - RR
age 5
you stared out at the window of your kitchen, watching a moving truck park right in front of the house that was next to yours. you watched a family of three get out, them now becoming your new neighbors.
“seems like we have some people living next door.” you heard your father say from behind. he too was looking out the window, your mother right next to him. “we should give them a warm welcoming once they’re done unpacking.”
you liked the sound of the idea as your eyes darted to the small boy that was with them. he looked around your age, and the thought of having a new possible friend gave you excitement.
and when the sun began to set and the moving truck was no longer there, you and your parents had walked next door to meet your new neighbors. your mother already having a basket of sweet treats to give to them.
the family opened the door once hearing the bell ring, smiling at your family already. “hello?”
“we live next door to you guys.” your mother began to say. “we stopped by to give you a warm welcoming with some treats.” she showed the basket to the family.
they had smiled brightly, opening the door wider for your family to enter. you noticed many boxes scattered around, obviously them being in the middle of organizing everything in their home. “this truly means a lot.” the man said to your parents. “thank you for the hospitality.”
the small boy from earlier had came running down the stairs, stopping right next to his parents. his eyes had darted to you as he hid right behind them. “this is our son, jisung.”
jisung.
“and this is our daughter, y/n.” your mother had introduced you.
“what a beautiful daughter you have.” jisung’s mother had said, looking at you. “jisungie, why don’t you and y/n go play upstairs? we already unpacked all your toys.”
you definitely loved the idea. your father gave you a little push forward. jisung didn’t say much, so you learned he was shy. the complete opposite of you. he still didn’t say much when he lead you upstairs to his room. “wow! you have lots of cool toys.” you looked over at him, jisung just staring at you silently.
and you gave him a soft smile as you stood in front of him. “I want to be your friend.”

you stepped out of your house, reaching down for your scooter that was on the ground. you began riding it down your driveway when you had looked over to see jisung was also outside playing with a soccer ball on his front yard. “jisungie!” you waved to him. he waved back, smiling when seeing you.
but just as you attention came back to the scooter you were riding, you ended up losing your balance, falling over and hitting the hard sidewalk. “ow, owie!” You whimpered as you sat there.
jisung had heard you, already running towards you. “y/n! are you okay?” he questioned with concerned, looking down at your leg and seeing a few scratches on your knees. one was even bleeding. “your legs.” he gasped. “does it hurt?”
“a little.” you pouted. but jisung could see your watery eyes, knowing that it did in fact hurt you. and he was quick to help you up to your feet. “come on, my mom will be able to help.”
jisung took you all the way inside his house, where his mother was currently baking some cookies. she turned when hearing noises coming from behind her and instantly fell into concern when seeing you clinging onto jisung. “oh, y/n, what happened?”
“she fell off her scooter and now has scratches on her knees.” jisung answered for you. “do we have bandaids?”
jisung’s mother nodded her head, already in the process of going through their cabinets to take out a first aid kit. you had went ahead and sat on a chair that jisung had lead you to, slightly whimpering from having to bend your knees for a second. the pain was still there.
“now, this should do.” jisung’s mother said to you once cleaning your wound and sticking a bandaid on both of your knees. you felt better now. “you be careful next time, okay?”
you nodded your head yes, causing a smile to appear on her lips. “stay for some cookies, y/n.” she softly patted your head.
and so you did, jisung pouring you and himself a glass of milk when his mother had brought a plate of chocolate chip cookies in front you two. you were quick to snatch one and instantly fell in love with how great it tasted. jisung’s mother adored the sight she was seeing, the both of you bonding and went to grab her disposable camera.
“look at me.” she softly said, pointing the camera at the both of you. jisung only smiled while you wrapped an arm around him tightly, pressing your face against his and cheesed real hard at the camera. his mother only chuckled, snapping away the photo.
starting the many memories you were soon to create with jisung.
age 13
“have you ever kissed someone?” jisung asked you one day. you two were in the treehouse that your’s and jisung’s dad had built.
it was a very random question. for you at least, you were only 13 and have never even had a boyfriend.
you let out a snort. “no, why would you ask me that?”
jisung shrugged, “I don’t know.” he said. “do you know how?”
his question made you think for a moment. did you know how? why was he even asking you in the first place? did he know how?
of course you didn’t, you haven’t had the experience to kiss someone. and the thought of actually having to do it one day frighten you. you didn’t want your first kiss to be with a stranger, because what if you ended up just kissing them weirdly? that just wouldn’t do.
“I, I don’t think so?” you said more in a question. “do you?”
“no.” jisung said rather too quickly. “at least I don’t think do?”
silence fell between the two of you as both of your guy’s thoughts were fill on the topic jisung had brought up. and with being best friends, the two of you had the same idea in mind. “I don’t want my first kiss to be a stranger.” he said.
“I don’t either.” you replied.
“are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
you stared at jisung blankly, blinking your eyes a little more than usual. yes, you were thinking what he was thinking but you didn’t think it was actually possible. were you really about to kiss your best friend?
the answer was yes.
“let’s just get this over with, just to say we had our first kiss.” you said.
and jisung had agreed with your statement. you didn’t even think much of it, knowing it was just going to be a friendly kiss and that would be all.
the two of you sat closer to each other. jisung tilting his side to one and side and you to the other, moving in slowly until the both of you felt your lips against each other. with just one peck, the both of you broke apart, fluttering your eyes open to seeing jisung smiling at you. “that’s it?” he slightly chuckled.
“I guess so.”
“I don’t know why people make it such a big deal then.” he jokingly scoffed. “but hey, at least we got that over with.”
“yeah, you’re right.”
han jisung was your first kiss. if it wasn’t such a big deal, then why did you feel different? the kiss wasn’t supposed mean anything, but why did you suddenly like the idea of wanting to kiss jisung more?
present
“hey, you.” jisung smiled when wrapping an arm around your shoulder. he began to walk with you to your next class which so happened to be algebra, your least favorite subject.
“hello, to you too.” you said. “any update?”
jisung shook his head. “not yet.” he sighed.
you gave him an apologetic smile. jisung had auditioned not too long ago to jype and was now waiting on the call back to whether he passed or not. you remember when the boy had first mentioned about it, being excited when he got scouted. he was nervous at first, not knowing if he should go through with it or not. but you had convinced him to try out.
you knew if he didn’t, jisung was going to regret it in the long run. you knew music had always been something jisung was passionate about, so this opportunity was one he simply could not miss. you never know unless you try, is what you had told him.
“don’t lose hope okay?” you tried to cheer him up.
“never.” he smiled. “plus I have you as my good luck charm.”
his words made your heart flutter. but you knew it was just him being jisung, only meaning it in a friendly way. you don’t think jisung would ever see you as anything more than just a friend, and that kind of made you upset. considering you had the biggest crush on him from when you can remember. and it was exactly from that kiss you both had shared.
“I’ll see you at lunch, alright?” he said to you once stopping in front of your class. “gotta get to class before I’m late!” he jogged away, disappearing into the crowd of people who were rushing to get to class.
you slightly chuckled at your friend, shaking your head at him. you don’t know why he was so worried about being late, when he was basically always late to every single class he had. you knew his schedule, he had literature next, also known as jisung’s least favorite subject. but to you, it was your most favorite.
once class was over, you were packing up your things to leave. you were dreading about the test coming up that your teacher had announced. not only that, but you still had to work on the many missing assignments you had. algebra was not fun at all, and you were barely passing.
you walked into the cafeteria, already filling up with many students. you were quick to notice jisung was already sitting down at the usual spot you two sat at. “y/n!”
seeing your down face, jisung was now showing concern. “what’s wrong?”
you sighed, sitting right next to him. “I have an algebra test coming up soon and I feel like I barely know anything. not only that, but I have a lot of work to catch up on there.” you explained. “and I’m barely passing, if I fail then goodbye to me walking down the graduation stage.”
“I guess we’re in the same boat.” jisung patted your head.
“what do you mean?”
now it was jisung’s turn to sigh. “well I still have yet to do that book essay-“
“you mean the one that’s literally due in two weeks?!”
“hey, hey!” jisung covered your mouth. “I haven’t done it because I haven’t read that stupid book.”
your eyes widened at his sudden confession. the book essay was assigned almost a month ago. you had finished the book in a heartbeat and was in the middle of already finishing your essay for it. were you surprised jisung hadn’t read the book and started in his essay? no. but you didn’t think he was capable of actually waiting this long to start on it. or if he even was going to start it.
“oh, jisungie.” the last thing that was going to happen was not seeing the both of you walk down the stage for graduation.
he looked at you with hopeful eyes, you knew the look too well to know jisung wanted something. “you thinking what I’m thinking?”
you furrowed your eyebrows. “for once I don’t, what exactly are you thinking?”
“since you already read the book-“
“no.”
“oh, come on!” jisung whined. “y/n, please!”
“jisung, I haven’t finished with mine. and in case you forgot I have a stupid algebra test I need to study for that I’m pretty sure I’m going to fail. but not only that, I still have lots of missing assignments I need to do.” you said to him. “I love you, jisung. but no, I don’t have time.”
jisung pouted. he knew that always worked for you. and you hated him for it. “no, jisung. I mean it.”
“okay well what if I just do your assignments?” he offered. you paused for a moment. “and help you study.” now that was very convincing. you knew jisung was great at math. had no problem in solving numbers while you struggled for the most part.
the irony that your least favorite subject so happened to be jisung’s favorite, and jisung’s least favorite happened to be your favorite. “I, I think we could work something out.”
“how many assignments do you have?”
“eight.”
“eight?!” he exclaimed. “jesus.”
“you have no room to talk! you literally waited the last moment to want to start on your essay.”
the two of you stared at each other, beginning to laugh hysterically. it was always like this, making everything into a joke and just laughing it off. “you got me there.” he chuckled. “so is it a deal?”
you sighed., smiling at the boy. “yes, jisungie, it’s a deal.”
a week had passed by, and you had managed to finish both yours and jisung’s book essay. how you did it, you weren’t too sure. but the good thing was you finished. and even better news was jisung finishing all your missing assignments. it definitely bumped up your grade a little more, now you weren’t at the verge of failing.
and just how jisung had promised, he tutored you. the way he explained things was so much more easier than how your teacher explained. and all that studying sure did something, because you passed your test with flying colors.
now, you were on your way to meet up with jisung at the park that was close to where you and jisung lived. you were going to give him his essay you had worked on for him while he had told you he wanted to tell you something important.
you didn’t know exactly what he wanted to tell you, but a tiny part of you thought maybe he was going to confess? no, that surely wasn’t going to happen. you knew jisung too well to know he didn’t feel the same about you as you did to him.
and would you ever have the guts to tell jisung you liked him? you wanted to, but the thought of risking your friendship with him scared you. you and jisung were inseparable. and you wouldn’t imagine your life without him.
you had reached the park, already seeing jisung sitting at one of the swings. he was on his phone and only looked up when feeling your presence. jisung instantly smiled at you and you had to take a moment to breathe again. you always loved his smile, especially when he smiled at you.
“here’s your essay.” you handed him a large orange envelope that he took from you. jisung instantly took it out, staring at it with a grin. “ah, yes. thank you.”
but what he did next made you look at him horrified as jisung tore it in half while smirking at you. “jisung!” you yelled. “what the hell are you doing?!” he tore it up some more until all your hard work was soon into pieces.
“I don’t need it anymore.” he brightly said. you looked at him confused. “what?”
“I got the call, y/n.” his smile turned bigger. “I passed my audition.”
“oh my goodness, jisung!” you embraced him in a tight hug as he spun you around. but your smile soon dropped when realizing something.
with passing his audition that meant jisung was moving. you didn’t think this was actually going to happen, his audition was just for fun. but who were you kidding, jisung had talent. and the company obviously saw that in him. “w-when did you find out?”
“like a couple of days ago.”
“and you could’ve told me?!” you punched his arm, jisung wincing in pain as he held onto it. “you mean to tell me I wrote this whole essay for you for nothing?! you could’ve given me a heads up, han jisung.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” he laughed. “but you’re the first one to know after my parents.”
“okay, that makes me feel a little better.” you slightly chuckled. “so what does this mean now?”
“well, I talked to the school already and since I’m moving and my grades were pretty decent, they went ahead and gave me my diploma.”
you frowned. “what about graduation? we were supposed to walk together, it’s all we ever talked about for the past four years.”
“I guess I won’t be going.” he scratched the back of his head. he noticed the way your mood had changed. “but hey, it’ll be okay! I’ll call you the day of graduation.”
your lips turned into a thin line when looking at jisung. the moment felt surreal. jisung was going to leave you soon, and you weren’t sure how to feel about that. you guys grew up with each other, he was your best friend, and now he was leaving. you didn’t want that. but you knew he did, he wanted to chase his dreams. and you definitely weren’t going to stop him from doing so.
but so much for ever wanting to confess your feelings to him.
and from that moment forward you spent almost every second you could with jisung. leading up to the day he was moving. you were in the backseat with him in his parents car. and for once, you were silent. totally out of character for you. even jisung noticed it too. he knew you were upset though, you always had a thing for staying quiet when upset. and these were one of those days. “look at what I’m taking.” he spoke up. you looked at him, seeing the photo in his hand.
the first photo the two of you ever took, thanks to jisung’s mother. also known as the photo where you had fell off your scooter then jisung helped you, which then lead to you eating cookies at his house. you remember that day easily. it was practically the start of you and jisung’s friendship.
“you took it from the treehouse?”
“no.” he chuckled. “well yes, only to make another copy of it to take with me.” jisung stared at the picture, admiring it. jisung loved you, he knew he did, and it was hurting him to leave you. he was going to miss you so much. “you still have the original.”
you simply nodded, looking back out the window. you felt your stomach dropping when realizing you guys were now at the airport. “we’re here.” his father said once parking the car and turning off the engine. you let out a sigh when opening the door.
this was it.
you guys had made it to the gate just on time, giving jisung enough time to say his goodbyes. he hugged his mother first then his father. you let them have their moment, knowing this was just as hard for them, seeing their son move to whole different country on his own. when he let go of his head, jisung turned his attention to you. his eyes were red and puffy which made your lips quiver right when jisung had embraced you into a tight hug.
and god, did jisung give the best hugs ever. who knows when you were going to experience another one of those. you hated this, you wanted jisung to stay.
he rubbed on your back as you wrapped your arms around his neck. “I’m going to miss you.” you whispered. “me too.”
“don’t forget about me when you’re over there.”
“y/n, I could never forget about you.”
“good.” you sniffled a laugh.
jisung gave you one last hug before walking away to enter the plane. you could feel your lips quivering even more now with some tears blurrying your vision. before he could fully disappear on the plane, he looked back once more giving you a wave goodbye.
and in that moment, you finally broke down. jisung’s parents came to your side to give you a hug while telling you it was going to be okay. but was it really? jisung was now gone from your life the moment the gate closed. you were so used to him always being there next to you. you only hoped that nothing would change between you two.
not only did you have that to worry about, but also your feelings you had for jisung. there was no way you could tell him now. so you only had the option of letting go.
