UPDATE: my mom have something in her belly which requires exams. for free, will take more than a year, with luck! the doctor two exams BEFORE medicate my mom, so she is going worse, on pain bc of her trigeminal neuralgia and her emphysema, all the time lying in her bed, depending on me for everything. the X’s will be the photos of the requirements for the exams. for the endoscopy X and the blood test with three pages (yes, three) X X X. ok, two exams. the hospital doesn’t even making BLOOD FUCKING TESTS! i already have money for the blood test, but the doctor said that the two exams needs to be done in the same week. (SHE’S STILL NEEDING THOSE EXAMS!!!!)

UPDATE 2:  had help to buy food, but my mom is still without her med. I am without mine too, but I don’t care. I need to buy hers, pay the light bill which costs R$179,86 and buy some more food. my mom is needing something strong, and i couldn’t buy it. please, help me if you can, anything matters.

I don’t want it to ever come down to me choosing between groceries or purchasing a new tier package via comcast to be able to access tumblr or DeviantArt (let alone not guaranteeing I’ll even be seen by my customer base since they may not want to pay out their asses either). This means that the American internet is going to be firmly under the control of those who have the most money. You’ll only get to see the content of those who can pay the ISPs to provide access at a reasonable speed. This means that you can expect to see skewed representation of just about everything, with those bigger businesses who can afford to pay ISPs a premium for access deciding what you can and cannot read, view and consume on the internet.

This is not something that we have in the UK. Our ISPs compete with each other to provide higher speeds, better services and lower prices, but because there’s a monopoly in the US of a few ISPs who provide services, they can afford to do this to you. You can’t go anywhere else, after all.

Last week in Dallas, Texas, an LGBTQ center that primarily serves Black gay and bi men and transgender women suffered fire damage in an intentional arson attack. 

Abounding Prosperity was broken into on Friday morning, and someone set a fire using an accelerant. A back office was destroyed and the rest of the center had smoke damage. 

The center, which operates out of a renovated home, provides counseling, medical, and STD prevention services to an estimated 2,000 people each year and seeks to address health, social, and economic disparities affecting queer black men. Its services are on hold while the staff deals with the fire damage.

One of its clients, Marcus Simpson, has been relying on Abounding Prosperity since he was a teenager. Whoever committed the arson is “a monster,” he told WFAA. “I mean, to see them do something like this in a small community that’s trying to help build the community, it’s sad.”  

Although authorities are unsure of the arsonist’s motives, Abounding Prosperity CEO Kirk Myers told the station he believes the perpetrator wanted to intimidate the people the center serves. “You know where my mind immediately goes is that the political climate in the world we’re living in today is creating an atmosphere where this sort of activity could be acceptable in someone’s mind,” Myers said.
