We teamed up with Grown Kids Radio for a night at Kingdom Nightclub in Austin, Texas during SXSW.  Other collaborators included DJ Qbert’s label, Thud Rumble and long time friends, Dubspot.  Ca$h4gold (Lou Lou of Thievery Corporation & MS. G) opened the night, as B Majic followed their lead.  J Boogie and Chicken George debut their joint efforts and warmed up the floor with house and downtempo beats.  Jo Def represented the LA based collective, Soulection and shook things up as the night progressed. Everyone grew rowdy as 2 x DMC champion, DJ Shiftee confidently exhibited his turntablism skills, just in time for DJ Qbert.  The crowd intensely observed the 3 x DMC champion, Qbert as he showcased his craft.  Zuzuka Poderosa closed the night and kept the energy level high. Nobody wanted that night to end. 

FutureWorld is genre bending, multicultural, and forward thinking aural journey that defines the Rhythm & Culture sound. Furthermore, Blondet’s project highlights his production sensibilities and widespread vision garnered by the multitude of influences living in the nation’s capital. His impeccable ability to mesh melody with infectious rhythms makes this a dance release as well as an insurmountable task in itself. The 13 track debut album features collaborators including reggae legend Moonsoon, Carol C (of SiSe), Tina M, French vocalist Leyla Chatti, and Kiran Gandhi (of M.I.A).  FutureWorld will be released on March 4, 2014 on Rhythm & Culture Music. In 2010, Gina Nguyen secured a marketing partnership with Renaissance hotels, alongside the launch of R-Life.  Gina programmed artists such as Thievery Corporation, AM & Shawn Lee and The Ancient Astronaut.
