Name: Beggar’s Rebellion Author: L.W. Jacobs Rating: 2* DNF This book received a low rating because I couldn’t finish it. It had a good concept and story however due to the swear changes the atmosphere was ruined and I felt I couldn’t fully immerse myself into the book. If this is something that bothers you too I would not recommend this book, and if you like gripping tales I wouldn’t recommend this book either. However if it doesn’t bother you and you’re a younger reader this may be a good fantasy book to start with.

This book was a good read, it touches on a few topics in a unique way which I feel added depth to the story. It does progress slowly and there are quite a few books in this series however I really liked how it used the idea of elves and the different types + discrimination to show racism from a completely different view. It really allows the reader to get a slight understanding on experiences and it really opens your eyes when you feel that sense of familiarity despite it being a fantasy book.

The only bad thing about this book is that it is slow, but in turn it does mean that you can clearly see character development.

Overall I would recommend this book!
