PSA - Battling etiquette
This is for anyone who enjoys pokemon battles - a sort of guide to make sure it stays safe and fun.
First of all and most importantly ASK PERMISSION- and give them an option to back out. There are a lot of reasons a person is unable to battle despite having pokemon with them but they do not owe you any explanation. No means No also just because they do not have an audible no straight away does not mean yes. ALSO EYE CONTACT IS NOT NECESSARILY A SIGN FOR A PERSON WANTING TO BATTLE AND RUNNING AT THEM AND SHOUTING FOR A BATTLE IS HARASSMENT. Forcing someone into a battle with you not only makes you a horrible person- but can be dangerous for the person and pokemon involved
DICUSS EXPECTATIONS - how many pokemon are you each going to use, what rules are you going by, is there going to be money involved? These are all important things to be talked about before the battle, I'm not saying it has to be long or complicated just saying something along the lines of '2 pokemon each, no money, kanto rules' and them giving a thumbs up. This makes the battle feel more controlled and gives people a better idea of what to expect and makes
TRY YOUR BEST - congratulations if you've made it this far you're in a battle! Try your best to win- no one likes someone half assing it, no matter how 'superior' your pokemon are to theirs.
KEEP IT SAFE - Pokemon battling is for fun, no one wants their pokemon with a permanant disability due to a pokemon trainer who wanted to win a little but too much. It is about finding the perfect balance between doing your best and keeping both your pokemon and the opponents safe from permanent harm.
RESPECTFUL WITHDRAWL - Okay so this one may be controversial but- if a trainer commands to stop the battle at any time. The battle must stop, command your pokemon off or withdraw them. This could be for a multitude of different reasons, their pokemon could have health problems that were triggered in battle, their pokemon could be injured, they could be upset or panicking, seeing a pokemon injured (even in a controlled environment such as battles) can be a trigger for many people. Whatever the reason, respect their decision, not every battle has to end with the opponents pokemon unwilling to battle any further.
AFTER BATTLE ETIQUETTE - If you agreed to pay money after loosing, pay the money. Be a good sport about loosing or winning, no one likes a show off or a crybaby. You're allowed to be dissapointed or proud of your accomplishments but taking that out on the other person is kind of a dick move. Asking for the persons number so you can battle again is a common pratice, but remember they have every right to decline this, if they do, let it go.
Repeating for those idiots who have poor reading comprehension: THE EYE CONTACT RULE IS BULLSHIT
If anything I believe Iāve heard it originated as a schoolyard myth. Then trainers began spreading it around because it benefited them, and the average person doesnāt know much about law.
I have been stopped when I wasnāt even looking at anyone. Apparently āeye to scleraā still counts as eye contact to those people.
I only have one PokƩmon that would qualify for a battle. And I am not throwing Clockwise into a dangerous situation during any time of the day. He is small, leave us alone.

Dellivery? Dellibirdery?

Just wanna say that these types of asks have never and will never be allowed here. I get that people hate rose, and that's deserved! He's a fucked up dude!! We would also like to note that "eye contact" is not equivalent to consenting in a battle challenge, as per the trainer rulebook states.
