So I’m getting hit up a bit about the .com. Here’s my general M.O. with running this.
1. I want to make art resources more accessible to more countries. Tumblr is blocked by some countries so moving it to a .com will help bypass that block.
2. I will continue promoting only free brushes. If your brushes are free that’s great! The worth of USD is not the same across all countries. 10 dollars as an American citizen may not seem like a lot to you. But trust me you can get A LOT of food on 10 USD in other countries.
3. I want to celebrate the kindness of artists putting up their brushes and resources for free world-wide. So I want to have someplace where I can make for more room advertising the artists who are so nice to distribute their brush kits. Thanks so much!!
This is all about access and creating a hub for resources so people can make art more freely. I’m not here to make money. I make enough working as an artist in animation and videogames. There’s not going to be ads or anything on the site for people to try and slog through to get what they want.
Also NONE of these are my original assets. It would be really REALLY crooked of me to try and make money off someone else’s hard work?? No. No No No No.
It’s going to be non-profit brushes for a non-profit site.
And I’m sure you’re asking why would I put so much energy and money into something I’m not getting any returns on?
I get to see more art. That’s all I want in this world. Art makes me happy to do and see others do.
