at first, tbh it was just his design when i knew nothign of GG. I was minding my own JoJo business, but I kept coming back to look at him every day for like… a whole week I figured he'd just be another cool looking character I'd forget about, prolly a generic guy. but i learned he canonically became a baker?! ngl that shit made me laugh so much, i got curious pretty much asap

then I watched a summary of his story… and it completely caught me off guard

learning he was adopted, like me, immediately made me curious. seeing someone everyone wanted dead who still kept going, even finding comfort and fighting with his hobby, rly resonated with me

making art has been a bit my way to fight through life

the idea of dedicating your life to someone, realizing it isn't working like you'd want, falling into depression, and then slowly learning to find joy in the little things again…

idk it just felt so human and relatable and beautiful and possibly, finding a new flame (hi robo) along the way felt so relatable as well (but ofc it's huge compressed pov of the character ik there's more lolol) obviously I can't relate to the whole assassin part lolol but despite all that, he still felt alive

I'm also at a point in my life where I'm trying to find happiness in the little things and it feels like a 2nd chance too. been through a lot in life in general and ik healing takes time, but I genuinely believe it's possible. a lot of those themes: hope, perseverance, finding beauty in everyday life, comes back often throughout GG, and I wasn't expecting that at all

I think I also connected a lot with his loneliness. sometimes I remember I'm adopted and it hits me that, technically, me and sis are the only one in our family who aren't related by blood… But my dad always showed me that a parent's love goes beyond blood and I'll always be his daughter. It made me wonder how alone Venom must have felt, too tho…

Ig that's why the thought of him getting a second chance at life with Robo is so touching, yet they do also have a rly fun and interesting dynamic. also cuz both have been through so much so its like… come on, let them catch a break together

ig that's why I love Venom so much. The loneliness, the perseverance, the hope, and the beauty in his story… And he's hot too, so, you know lolol he's just so cool ARGH

Ig part of me thinks that if he can make it through everything, then maybe I can too

Ik it's just a fighting game character lmaooo and these are just my personal reasons but i think it's what makes mundane life so much fun and worth living. it's fun sharing with friends and strangers, everyone who want to connect a bit even if it's for a short time. I also tend to hyperfixate on random things… i suspect i have some sort of OCD but aaa

I'm sure I'll move on eventually
