lenu and lila are such an interesting relationship outside of the "ship" but what actually makes them so compelling to me as a couple-that-is-not-a-couple is the fact that they are never anything romantic but also something different and less platonic than friendship. the infatuation and adoration is always there, their "almost" is what makes it all interesting

also i went into it fully expecting to be in the deanallie train, but as much as the chemistry was good i couldn't care for it because i couldn't connect with dean who surprisingly had less depth than tucker who's heavily ignored by the fandom...all i know is he sleeps around (and wants people to watch apparently which did give me a bit of an ick), he likes chess and he likes allie. but i have no idea what makes him like allie better than the half of the female population he slept with since there's barely any scene of them connecting outside of flirting and fucking (which is fine) but for him to be suddenly like "Heyyy i like you" i was like. okay why? 😭 lmao. i hope they expand on his character a lot more next season because allie at least had more going on for her, but i can't do chemistry without substance so i'm not gagging over deanallie the way i expected to be. dean is probably the main character i'm the least invested so far so i pray they don't lean into his book self (who's the worst man in that godawful books series) and let us get to know more of him as an individual and what makes him endeared by allie

euphoria is a bad show by all means and has so many problems with its portrayals that i would have to write countless pages to get through it all but it makes me sad that the first season had potential and mostly because of the involvement of the actors with the writing and directing and for some reason that might have to do with how awful sam levinson is, everything hunter and zendaya added to their characters identities and narratives was disregarded in the following seasons in a way that just made everything worse. the show is a combination of shock value after shock value with no depth or substance and the glimpses of it we got were thrown away for more women being humiliated on-screen. not surprised in the slightest but for the potential of jules and rue alone, and one of the only prominent lesbian relationships between trans characters, i get really bummed. hunter's special episode will always mean a lot to me though.

one thing about me I will always hate a mlm pairing as soon as their fans act like bitches towards the women who "get in the way" of it idgaf. it's women first and second in fiction and reality idc how underwritten or annoying or mean she is. to hell with your fake gays
