Hi there!
My name is Rosaline Auditore, and I am an Assassin. No, not little ‘a’, assassin, like a killer for hire, but big ‘A’ Assassin, as in the organization of people formed to protect the people of this world from tyrannical leaders and... otherworldly things. I come from a long line of Assassins, a direct line that we have record of all the way through Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the great Mentor of the Renaissance. We Auditores are a proud bunch, and by ‘we’, I mean me. I’m the last one. Blasted Templars killed off the rest of us. I wasn’t even sure that there were any more Assassins until I meet him...
Him. Kadar Ibn Kaliph. He’s an Assassin, as well (obviously, didn’t I already say that?). I found him in the ruins of Masyaf, the ancient Assassin citadel. He had been living there in order to guard the vault of Altair from Templar intruders. He had been living there since he was thirteen, as his family was apparently also of a proud line. Not quite as proud as us, I guess, as they didn’t keep their names, but he claims to be a member of the Al’Sayf family, who were the advisors for Altair Ibn La’ahad back in his day (I’m still skeptical. He’s a pretty good liar). Altair was Al Mualim, the Mentor, during the Crusades all the way up to Marco Polo’s age. Ezio Auditore was descended from him, meaning that i was as well.
But back to Kadar. Not only is he an Assassin, but he’s a Sage, meaning that he has triple helix DNA; the DNA of the Precursor race. Those that came before, the ones that pretty much shaped the history of the Assassins. He has a connection to the past, shown by his heterochromic eyes.
This tale is one of discover and a bit of heroism, maybe. I’m not exactly sure what that is anymore. Kadar and I had run across a rough patch, so we decided to go to the States. Boston, Massachusetts, ot be exact. I had gone from Florence to Masyaf the back to Florence, then all over the world in search of work. However, we had caught onto some unwanted attention in Europe and Asia, so our next best bet was the States. That’s where we discovered that which we had been searching for our whole lives.
