like jeremy and their brother, she was born into wealth. there was always food on the table, a safe roof over her head and with a whole bag filled with mommy and daddy issues. rather, the lack there of. they weren’t dead or anything simply very absent. i guess, though, that she had it the easiest because she was the youngest. her brother were always there for her, jeremy more than the eldest who was way ahead of them with discipline in baseball and the drive to get far.
jeremy was always there. even when he didn’t want to be or had plans much more exciting than staying home with his little sister. he’s her favorite human being ever. though if you ask her if she has a favorite brother, she’ll say she doesn’t and that she loves them both equally. her and jeremy’s little secret.
unlike her brother’s she didn’t do well with sports at the very most, she works out at the gym to stay in shape but playing sports and being cliquey has never been for her. in truth, she prefers books over people similarly to mona. unlike her, she doesn’t have a mother to push her to socialize and jeremy lets her do her thing. as long as she’s happy, let her be anti-social.

Sure, Rose loved to take things from Mona but there wasn’t much Mona could take from Rose because at the end of the day she could always have it next year and she could always top the girl somehow. It gave her that little push though, wanting to do it in front of her. “Girls” said the Dean, “How nice of you two to come down here, why don’t you come into my office” he said as he motioned them inside and they both took a seat. “So after some talk with the board, we decided that co-captains was an excellent move for White Lake” he said happily, having no idea of the girls personal entanglements.
THERE’S A MOCKING TILT OF her head at the response, eyebrows furrowing and bottom lip jutting out in a pout. ❝ do we ?? ❞ and she increases her pout, biting back another laugh for rosemary’s sake. ❝ i don’t come here to seek validation - i get plenty of that at home. but hey, to each their own. if you’re so very insecure that you have to be liked by everyone in high school... good for you. ❞ she shrugs, raising a challenging eyebrow as her arms cross over her chest. bright gaze flickers towards the door just as it open and the dean greets them. ❝ good morning, dean, i hope your holidays were joyful and merry. ❞ ramona greets first, following after the dean and settling into one of the chairs. not a second glance is spared in rose’s direction, suddenly all the more interested in the dean’s words. upon them registering, she thanks the lord for being blessed with a pokerface and an rbf in normal situations. she’s collected, though on the inside she’s entirely irritated. ramona refuses to be the first to react, hands neatly folded on her lap while allowing silence to claim her.
“If I’m cindy lou who then you must be the grinch, because you’re looking a little green with envy and an added bonus I wouldn’t even touch you with a thirty nine and a half inch pole, let alone any guys around here” said Rose as a cruel smile formed on her lips. “But next year won’t be any fun, because I’ll simply have everything but no one to gloat over” said the brunette, faking a pout, “It’s no fun if I can’t rub it in your tired looking face”. She was planning on a victory lap of all her positions and accolades from this year for her senior year. It just made sense to overachieve now and hold onto everything for the coming school year, the only thing that stood in her way was Ramona. Not that she would let that stop her from getting what she wants.

her father is a cardiothoracic surgeon and her mother is a neuro surgeon. they began their work in los angeles, eventually returning home to be closer to their family when they found out adela was pregnant.
when mona was eight, however, her mother was offered a better position in whitelake. naturally, iñaki asked for a relocation and the small family settled into the small town.
being the daughter of surgeons is not easy, that much is evident. she has the weight of their success on her shoulders, pressured to follow behind. which... by the grace of god - she wants to. she’s all the more thankful that she was given intelligence, at least... two functioning brain cells. that really does help. no but back to her LOL
she has never missed a day of school. ever. her parents made sure she was always in good health and her mother always made sure to book appointments for after school. her goal ?? the most attainable one right now is getting into harvard. though she’d be happy with any ivy school. to be fair, though, she would like to get into it - maybe not go. mainly because she does want to stay in whitelake so... we’ll see what this child decides on. her main goal is to get that white coat, maybe be a type of surgeon or... stay a doctor and kiss those surgery room legacies goodbye.
besides not ever missing out on school - she has remained top of her class for the longest time, it’s second nature at this point. study, study, study. nothing below an A is satisfactory and her teachers know this. especially because mona was shoved into honors classes in the first grade and has moved on up to AP classes as soon as she stepped foot in high school. thankfully, she’s worked hard for those grades and if she ever slips - the amount of extra credit she does definitely carries the B into an A grade. definitely a shoo-in for valedictorian.

born and mostly raised in sydney, australia alongside her big brother and her loving parents. her life was nearly perfect or... if you believe perfection exists... that’s her life. her parents did everything in their power to provide for their children beyond material things. they were present in every sense of the word which was more than they could ask for.
when she was old enough to stand on her two feet, her mother put her in gymnastics. a wonderful way for a child to become disciplined. slowly, lani came to love the sport and remained dedicated to it. there, she met her best friends.
her brother, despite her being quite the thorn in his side, is her absolute favorite person. literally, she adores him. you know those protective little sisters that smother their big brothers ?? that’s her. often, she looked up to him and attempted to follow in his footsteps. if llewellyn wanted to try swimming classes, she’d want to as well. her parents did little to limit her or even him, wanting their kids happy above all else. eventually, she grew out of that and realized somethings simply were not for her. exhibit a... art. leilani was blessed with many things but the ability to create art was not one of them. that was purely her brother’s skill and she understood that after many ugly finger paintings that she herself had no idea what was supposed to be portrayed.
