journal entry #823 of someone dealing with an emotionally immature parent
interpreting someone wanting to get away from your obstinate, unrelenting ass as arrogance is wild.
the fuck. that's not arrogance, that's just them not wanting to deal with you and your projection of unresolved issues anymore.
i'll tell you what's arrogant. arrogance is:
not hearing what someone has to say and instead deciding you know what's best for them.
blaming other people for your own reactions to a situation that you didn't like.
expecting someone else to regulate your emotions for you.
guilting people into coddling your hurt feelings right after you exploded on them.
painting yourself a victim when someone does something you don't agree with.
constantly taking everything as a constant personal attack against you.
that's arrogrance. in fact those are all just plain old manipulative behavior at this point.
fuck that crap. i don't have to hold space for you failing to deal with your issues properly, especially when the root of most of mine is someone who manipulates and then gaslights others—instead of taking accountability for their own actions and doing their own inner healing.
unpack your own shit on your own damn time in your own blasted corner. i'll do the same with mine. then we won't have to keep being in situations like this over and over. you won't have to believe youself a victim whenever we react reasonably unfavorable towards you and we won't have to keep piling up resentment against you for how shitty you treat us.
