Orias:

He's a comfort guy these days, but he wouldn't deny a dapper fit either. He likes looking nice when needed, but would also dress down if he's feeling more chill. Would go for fine italian fashions (whatever the salvus equivalent of italy is).

For dressing less fancy, more so like this.

Season: Winter. When all is still.

Val: He likes simple clothing, like turtlenecks, pull overs, henley shirts. He dresses up for work because he believes in the importance of looking nice for what you do, and respects his work with high regards. Season: Spring. The flowers that bloom again bring others joy, even after endless rain.

Caym:

James Dean fashion would look so good on him. Outside of that, sweatshirts with long sleeved shirts under, generally collared clothing.

Season: Fall. When you can't stop the leaves from falling. Xaph: He'll wear all sorts of things. Currently wearing some desi fashion, but for his casual outfit it's what you see in the cg. Something stylish ideally at all times, loose poet like shirts otherwise. For his sprite in Aevum I'll probably do something more simple with a bit of desi flair //like a ... I don't know how to spell it. I think you'd call it a tunic in western equivalent? Tunics, with embroidery. But he'll wear a hoodie and go out if he's feeling more for that, and always try fashions of every decade. Man would wear crocs. (I wear crocs now after denying them my whole life, it's comfy.) When you play more you might notice heaven reflects a sanjay leela bansali film //because those were my image boards LMAO so Xaphie's heart belongs there.

However, retro clothings with patterns definitely also hold a strong spot in his heart.

Season: Summer! Warmth. But there's always a summertime sadness near the end, isn't there? Seir: Light clothing, like Valefar. Prefers less layers. Anything airy is a bonus, you'd find him in light materials like chiffon, or something really pretty like organza. My friend once drew him in an ao dai, so that also lingers in my mind. Season: The rainy part of spring, before flowers bloom. Aina: Cutesy fashion, she likes pinks, wears frills, lace. That's her gateway in modern fashion, so she'd lean towards those fashions, maybe academia wear, very shoujo-y things in general. But she's definitely willing to branch out. Season: Summer. Bright and warm, sometimes exceedingly so, with tumultuous days, but it always makes people want to go on an excursion. The satisfaction of a cold drink or cone of ice cream on a hot day creates its own fond memories. Malthus: He's a comfort first person! He really likes tech wear, anything that lets him move around quickly is his priority. He likes feeling the wind on his skin. Crop tops, baggy pants, that kind of thing. Season: The storms of summer, when hurricanes are on the horizon. Nox: He'd look adorable in prep wear! But I also do like putting him ouji fashion. He'd wear prep wear more often if he got the chance to settle normally again.

Season: Spring! Birth of new life.

Orias: He's the type that doesn't need to really study but does the best, somehow. Excels in English class. Does fantastic in debate club even if everyone wants to beat him up. Val: Very studious, struggles at first, but he gets by and does his best. Easily distracted. Average grades. Likes Social Studies the best. Plays for the soccer team, star player, and reliable. Caym: Will remind the teacher that there's homework. Likes science the most. Mostly A's, but lower B's in English (due to its subjective nature.). He participates in many clubs at once to look good but no one ever really wants to listen to him.

music, i think: Orias: Classical, opera, maybe fall out boy, hush sound, panic, evanescence, paramore, all time low //coughs i think some of these are do not have the greatest people now, i'm not too in touch anymore, but those would be the general vibes Val: Jazz, piano, rock, Olivia Dean, old timey music too like from Olivia newton, john denver, whitney houston, dolly parten, elton john, Caym: Classical, salvus version of Phish (my art teacher forced me to listen to phish in high school, i think men like that band), Hozier, Beatles, music you could waltz to (he wants to be fred and ginger so bad) Xaphan: Pop, K-pop, Video game music, whatever the equivalent of bollywood is in salvus world, electronic, rap, he's truly the everything but country guy Seir: Hm...I don't really see him listening to music really, maybe light piano/harp/ambience vibes. Maybe tchaikovsky adjacent...quiet music. I think he'd like aurora a lot Malthus: Hard rock, metal, chase atlantic (salvus world version), retro Nox: Indie-ish plus adjacent sounds but he'd love folklore by taylor, lana, clairo, aurora, a fine frenzy Aina: Classic, theatre songs would be fun for her to sing along to

fun fact/silly/weird: Orias: When he first arrived in Stasis he wanted to do nothing but fight. He'd try to pick them with random Reapers, but most of them brushed him off, didn't care. Caym had to show him to the training room, and he and Malthus were often his sparring partners to let off steam. Val: He's terrible mechanically. Anything he tries to fix somehow becomes more busted. He can operate basic devices but he always needs to call someone for help. He holds the record for the most tech support tickets at the office. He's not inept, just cursed. Caym: god there's a joke i want to make but you'll see it in his route, aina side eyes him like 'thats not a fun fact' He gets very easily embarrassed. I don't think he experiences second hand embarrassment at all, on the other hand, he simply doesn't care. When he was little he always saw too much due to his abilities, and his mom had to make him glasses to control it. He can get headaches if he doesn't wear them for too long. MC somehow grounds him though, and that might be because he's just focused on her. When he was little little he could never tell left from right. Most likely to get lost, although that's gotten better with age. Loves stargazing, astronomy, if he lived in the human world that would be his study. He'd have loved to work with Galileo etc. The sky in Stasis being fake/a mere reflection makes him wistful because of this. Xaphie: He once organized a tournament for Heaven, Stasis, and Hell to compete in for inter-realm unity in their work. He was banned from proposing anything for a decade after it had nearly become a calamity. At least, he was leading the races until everyone and their mother became first rate cheaters. Seir: Heaven does not have escalators because one time, they did try building some, but Seir's wings were caught in it, and it was...unpleasant. That was one of the reasons Seir never cared to have them out. When someone brings home an assortment of something, he takes a bite of each one to see which ones he likes, and puts them all back. Malthus: Despite not having much access to modern anything, he does have modern fashion, and some ways of speaking because of his ability to spy as a crow. There have been times when a kinder Reaper has allowed him inside for impromptu movie nights, or perhaps a Purg human running a movie night in one of the community areas. He'd peck at a VHS/DVD he was curious about if he was able to make a request. (Malthus would appreciate your love, don't worry) Nox: Back when he was a Reaper, he would get mistaken to be a student often, and under threat of truancy charges, forced to go to class with other human kids for the day. One day Caym and Malthus were wondering where he went, only to be shocked to see Nox at an after school rehearsal for an upcoming play.

Malthus and Orias got along pretty well! Nox got along with everyone, Seir and Xaphan have always been cousin adjacent to each other, and to Caym + Malthus/Nox because they were all raised together. Valefar is the youngest, in the beginning he was the newbie but somehow became the mature one of the group, wanting them all to be happy. Orias is the grouch that Caym and Seir took in, which never made sense to the others except Malthus.

Genres: Orias: Pretentious art films. Horror (but because everyone else is afraid and it amuses him), Shakespeare, Iliad, Antigone Valefar: Epic fantasies (Odyssey, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings), Xaphan: Early bollywood watcher but agrees the stuff these days are meh. Loves anything with fantasy! Sci-fi, rom-coms Caym: Tragedy (so other people can suffer for once), Titanic is a hit on his letterboxed, Nolan stuff like Oppenheimer. Malthus: Novels since he's been on the run before modern movies but I think he probably got to catch some until the 70's/80's? Noir, so he can feel like a badass, Indiana Jones, some adventure, something with a hero, he'd love james bond Nox: Rom-coms, Mystery, would be a big sherlock holmes/poirot/arsene lupin fan

Arm wrestling...Xaphan. He's the strongest, even if Orias is the best fighter.

xaph: draped all over, cuddling until nothing is left in between. even if he's gaming, he wants to be tangled up at all times

Valefar is always recommended to be first. Even if it's more of a gentle route in terms of complexity, I still struggled tons to keep it engaging and heartwarming, so I think his was the hardest route for me to write because of this! I say as I adjust Caym's ending one last time lmao

Caym, Xaphan, and Seir I put together, but I think Seir should be the last of the three. Hence why Xaph is coming out after Caym hehe. Caym does have world building, but honestly a lot of it could be self-contained. Salvus world operates on separate timeline logic, so there's a lot of leeway. Sometimes some events will always happen or be destined to happen, although all routes won't explore that, you'll get hints here and there.

Thank you so so much, Caym route will be out before end of July //coughs blood inserted a lot more expressions changes and voice lines, but got some new material to input again next week, it's all coming so beautifully (the one good thing about getting crazy sick last month is I can make some last second changes to improve one of the last little plot points)

swapped out caym's old va lines in the demo for fresh ones and the change is EXTREMELY good (always talented ofc, but the new ones are just. wow. hits every subtlety in the best way)
