MOVED!

“…Then, we’re on the same page.” Cloud said in response. Sure, Cloud was one of the oldest fighters, and thus one of the more cautious ones, and he might well have been one of the more physically powerful ones. The others were quick to count on him. However, he was tired. After everything he’d been through, and facing a war seemingly without end, the blond was absolutely exhausted. It was only because the others needed him (and the fact that the gods likely wouldn’t even allow him to die permanently) that he chose to keep going. 

“I understand where you’re coming from. We’re all human here…Well, except for the people who aren’t actually entirely human…But, you get the idea. We’re just people trying to fight our own battles.”

The only thing he can really do is look over Cloud once and once again. His body, much like Firion’s, does not show signs of exhaustion easily. But his eyes were like doors to the soul. One look into them and he knew the years of stress that bore so heavily on his back.

“It... makes me feel a little better that I am not the only one- at least at the current time...” His eyes look out across the horizion- a sun that gave no warmth as was just as cold as the night that followed behind it. Firion hated that sun. He wished it would warm his skin. He wished he could feel safe for just one moment... just one. He wished he was back home with Maria and Guy and Leon...

“We are, aren’t we? Each for our own reason... each for our own world... but I’m tired. I’m tired and confused. Why did the gods summon us? The moogle says it is because they are not powerful enough to fight each other but... they were strong enough to make a world... why aren’t they strong enough to summon their own beasts and fight each other..? Why drag us away from our homes- our families- our friendships and timelines to fight something we have no say in? Why can’t the gods close the torsions themselves?” He shakes his head and holds it in his hands, heaving a big sigh.
