Ngl, I'm really distressed by the new wave of amatonormativity in the Deltarune fandom in the form of people who are seemingly arguing that Kris will never truly be happy if their relationship with Susie remains nonromantic.
Not only does it belittle what other romantic connections they could have (i.e. with Ralsei, Catti, Berdly, etc), it also reinforces the toxic notion that (queer)platonic love and relationships can never be equally fulfilling as romantic love and relationships. And that's especially hurtful for me to hear as someone who is aroace.
And don't get me wrong, there's nothing inherently wrong at all with shipping Kris with Susie romantically and/or arguing that they will end up in a romantic relationship with her by the end of Chapter 7. There's a difference, however, between doing and then going out of your way to suggest that Kris's life would be ruined or that their relationship with Susie would be devalued if Susie chooses not to be in a romantic relationship with them.
