technically it’s a new story, but it’s all semantics

As most have you have probably noticed I have not been posting here in quite a while. I’ll skip the personal life drama recap and get to the good stuff:

I have a new story!!!!

As much as I love my Lockwoods, it felt wrong to return to them after so long and so much has changed for me, so I decided to take the opportunity for a fresh start. My new story will be posted over on https://covingtons.tumblr.com/ and it would mean the world to me if you guys came over and checked it out. I am so immensely grateful to all of you for reading my silly little story about some royal sims and hope you are all doing well. If any of you want to come by and say hi please do not hesitate! I won’t be around here anymore, but the blog will stay activated (I’m sentimental and don’t like saying goodbye okay).

My question: If you could add a real life person (looks and personality) to your story, who would you choose?

ok I’ve been thinking about this one for a few hours now and trying to come up with someone that would actually make sense for my story

my first gut reaction was Sophie Turner bc I love her with my whole heart, but other than being a foil to Cassia’s propriety and shyness I’m not sure that she would really FIT if that makes sense.

I then started thinking of Elle Fanning or Phoebe Tonkin or Florence Pugh or even Harry Styles or Richard Madden, but then I just realized I was listing off people I have massive crushes on and not necessarily people that would work for the story

I think my final answer is going to be pretty lame in that I don’t have one! I think that each person I come up with won’t work for one reason or another and I think the reason for that is that they’re too “real” if that makes sense. Fictional characters are so much easier to justify to me bc they are mailable and able to be workshopped and manipulated to fit in certain roles and situations based on pieces of their personalities rather than looking at the whole package, whereas real people are exactly that: real.

I would probably go all the way back to Calista and just flesh her out as a character more.

Cassia and Greyson were out and about in downtown Archdale heading for a bite to eat when she heard someone call her name. She turned instinctively, expecting to find paparazzi, but was pleasantly surprised by what she saw.

“Adrien? Is that you?”

“How the hell have you been?” He asked, finally catching up to the couple and giving his ex a gigantic hug.

“I’m great!” She laughed. “How was boarding school? Everything you wanted?”

“And more,” he admitted sheepishly. “But I’m being rude, I’m sorry. You must be…”

“Greyson Hartley,” he supplied. “Cassia’s boyfriend.”

“Of course! Wow, I used to watch you all the time on-“

“Everyone did,” Greyson chirped.

Adrien was slightly taken aback, but regained his surety quickly. “Right, well it was crazy running into you again, Cass.”

Cassia looked away from gaping at her boyfriend’s rudeness and smiled. “We should catch up for real some time! I would love to hear all about your adventures in boarding school!”

“That wouldn’t be a good idea,” Greyson quickly asserted. “You don’t want the press thinking you guys are getting ‘friendly’ again and cause a scandal.”

“This isn’t working.”

Seb stared at his girlfriend before him. “What are you talking about?”

“This!” She motioned between the two of them. “I can’t keep doing this!”

“What’s wrong with what we’ve been doing?” He asked desperately. “We have been staying on the down low and avoiding public appearances together. What else are we supposed to do?”

“That’s just it,” she sighed. “I don’t know. And I can’t keep pretending that I’m okay with having you only some of the time.”

“So you’d rather have each other none of the time?” He asked completely bewildered.

“Yes! No. I don’t know! I just don’t think I’m your girl. And I can’t keep pretending I can be.”

“Do you have a second?”

Cassia looked up to find her younger brother looking rather concerned. “Of course, but I need to head out soon. Greyson is going to be here any minute.”

Seb looked away awkwardly. “That’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about. Hear me out, okay? I just don’t get the best vibes from Greyson.”

“Really?” Cass was taken aback. “What makes you say that?”

“I don’t really know how to explain it,” Seb sighed. “He just seems really fake is all. Like maybe he’s hiding something.”

Cassia smiled fondly at her little brother and shook her head. “I think you’re just being protective of me after my last few experiences with guys. Greyson is different, I just know it. And besides, he’s an actor! That’s probably why he seems fake to you.”

“That’s just it!” Sebastian insisted. “It feels like he’s playing a role with you! And I know you think this time is different. but-”

“It IS different, Sebby. Greyson is nothing like the other guys I’ve dated.”

“Okay, but-”
