“You gonna be done soon?” 

warning: long story and NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

In 2015, when I was in college, I was dating a girl for about 9 months. Let’s call her Lilly. We lived in separate towns, and would see each other a few times a week. In about our 8th month of dating, Lilly convinced me to go to the dog shelter “for fun”.

When we were there, she saw a beautiful dog that she wanted to adopt. She moved forward with the adoption process, but forgot her ID. I ended up adopting the dog for her that same day. I quickly fell in love with the pooch, and it turns out that her apartment at the time did not allow dogs. I gladly took the doggo in to my residence while she sorted out her living situation.

A few weeks go by, and I went over to Lilly’s place. We ended up doing the dirty in her bed, like any college couple should do. The only problem was I found a wallet belonging to one of her male classmates in her sheets. Let’s call him David.

I confronted Lilly about finding David’s wallet, and she broke down and admitted to having a separate relationship with David during the days that we were not physically together.
